The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Is this game dying? Cause I hate to see it die:(

3 Reasons why I think this:(

(1) killer mains or survivor mains complain about every thing:( which made the game unbalanced :(

(2) when devs add in a new killer or something then comes the complainers next:( then something ends up getting nerfed which then upsets other players:(

(3) players leave because of one change:( which makes match making broken :(

Devs fix your game before it's too late:(

Also listen to your player base:( no one asked for ruin to be nerfed even though I don't use it my self:(

You did this with other perks too:(

Now look what the game has become :(

It has became a unbalanced game:( fix your game or sale it to another game company:(

People have been coming and going, and complaining about features they don't like, since the game first came out. That doesn't mean that DBD is dying.

And according to the Steam Charts, it's still doing just fine. DBD has had higher average player numbers on Steam (its primary platform) in the last five months than it has ever had since release.

I'd like to see console stats. I get "PC master race" and all that but we peasants still exist.

On PC it's doing really well and will continue to do so for at least another year. Hopefully the new resident evil multiplayer game takes off, this game really needs some competition. It would force the Devs to actually improve this game and make changes that would benefit the player base. Competition only improves games and this one doesn't have any right now.

I’d say it’s still growing just only for the moment and higher ranked players have been leaving

I know right:) the only reason I'm still playing this game is because it does not have a game that is challenging them and it has my favorite movie killers:) Also because there's no game like it at the moment but that could change soon :)

Hope your hearing this devs cause its only a matter of time until your game gets challenged by another game:)

Also devs I don't really play as much anymore Cause it is becoming a chore to play as killer:( But I do play still just not as much:(

I agree with you:) I'm pretty sure there will be some game in the future that will challenge there game:) and when that does happen I am leaving this game for good unless they improve :)

Resident Evil 3's Project Resistance and Predator both arrive in April, and Last Year is still on PC for now. DbD will have some serious contenders very soon. Hopefully the devs shape up before they start losing the race, because as bad as this game can be for bugs and issues, it can still be a fun game.

This game has no competition currently, which is why it won't die. As soon as a top publisher comes out with a competing game, this one will either fix it's crap, or die.

The game isn't dying. Is it ever gonna be as popular as say Team Fortress 2? Nah.

Is it going to be performing as bad as Maplestory 2? Nah.

The games population hits in waves. New rift/killer etc comes out? A lot of people (myself included. Rift brought me back. Suffer my memepost fools!) come to play for a bit, then peter off.

    During content droughts it'll dip.

It'll take something fundamentally bad to bring this game to a zero playerbase. You have big horror names like Freddy and Myers. I'd even toss in my own IPs into the mix if certain conditions lined up.

Is the game ever going to be in a spot where everyone is happy? Probably not. All the devs can do is build maps and set up the sandbox. Its 5 real people making the game what it is. They have no control over what I do in game.

What is in the forums doesn’t reflect how everyone else feels. You will always have people complain for the good or the bad.

Even if the game was 100% balanced people would find something to complain about.

I’ve heard so many people say the same thing.

People go on about how the stats say the game is still going strong but people are also saying the only reason they are staying is because there is no other game like dbd out there. Stats are good now but Come the day when there is competition then dbd is going to be in big trouble. I’ve only ever seen pc stats.

I’m also curious of the stats for console as I know a lot of people who have already stopped playing dbd on there. It’s becoming noticeable. Even my experience as killer, my wait times to get a lobby has been 10-15 minutes Pretty much every game although that was just yesterday as I don’t usually play killer so can’t talk about any other day.

Project resistance gets released April 3rd. That’s the day I’ll be leaving dbd.

Wouldnt be suprised if the playerbase starts to stagnate or even drop, the creativity and balancing in this game has taken a turn for the worse and there is many unfixed long time bugs going on that would never have been allowed to go on this long with a proper team behind the game.

I'd show them if I had them, but I've never seen a console equivalent of Steam Charts.
