Lockers: showing killer you hiding in a locker

Why do survivors open locker doors to show the killer where you are hiding?

Today I had the doorbell ring and spilt my coffee so had to jump in a locker mid-game and twice I've had a survivor show the killer where I am before being downed.

First killer ignored it, second grabbed me.

I used to bring inner strength but had this happening as well!!!

If I have a key and hide in a locker all match I don't get points, why is this?

Only thing I can think of is one of two

1: The survivor doesn't know you are in there and it's an honest mistake.

2: Or, more likely, the survivor knows you are in there and they do it deliberately. They could be trolling, helping the killer because they know them or trying to get the killer to go after someone else. A locker grab is a free hook, a running survivor may take awhile to down. If it's done on purpose it's unsportsmanlike to me but probably not a re-portable offensive cause you can't prove they were doing it deliberately.

As for why you don't get points for hiding in a locker all match. It's because your not playing. The devs want you to play specific way. Like how they want killers to chase, down, hook each survivor 3 times. The devs don't want you to sit in a locker waiting for the hatch to appear for an easy escape. Your screwing over your teammates. I wouldn't want to play a match with you if all your going to do it hide in a locker waiting for me to die. If your hiding in a locker, deliberately doing nothing, waiting for the team to die so you can get hatch. Yeah they are going to reveal you because it's a dirty tactic. If your in a locker because you have to go afk that's fine. If your hiding in a locker because your waiting for everyone else to die, your dead weight.

The whole "you're either helping the team or you're hurting it" is not that simple; there is middle ground.

If I unhook you, that is +1.

If I don't unhook you and hide in a locker instead, that is +/-0.

If I deliberately open a locker with you in it, that is -1.

"The Survivors are a team of 4 who may choose to cooperate or not." Cooperate (+1), or not (+/-0).

"If I have a key and hide in a locker all match I don't get points, why is this?"

Why is this was meant to mean why does it bother other survivors to sabotage someone who may have to afk eg toilet, doorbell, spilt drink etc. there are few points in doing so

Had this happen to me twice. I had the headon achievement to do and I went into a locker at the exit gate. I slip inside and this Dwight goes and opens the door over and over. I went off on him in the post game chat and he seemed clueless. I did escape but didn't get my achievement. The second time was worse. I go into a locker in the killer shack. Dwight starts opening the locker over and over and even body blocking me. I eventually get hooked and he then comes up to me and does the whole "I am unhooking you...no I'm not...I'm unhooking you..no I'm not" routine. I get the killer to report him after the game as I do and I reported the other two SWfs as well not that it will do anything. The reason they do it is to be trolls and jerks. 99% of the time it is on purpose to troll you. I use inner strength too so I am going into a locker two or three times a game so last thing I need is some jerk trolling me. I did eventually get that achievement done though.

Was a question why and trolls are the answer.

Can BHVR put them into a bad lobby on matchmaking please? :)

Again, its happened to me many times and I have no issue with it. Its only trolling if you consider it trolling. I dont. If I hide in a locker to AFK, I am expecting that I will probably either be found by the killer sooner or later or another survivor will sandbag me to save themselves. Its a risk I take. Its honestly probably the biggest non issue we deal with.

I thought matchmaking was putting everyone in bad lobbies these days...

So you went AFK mid-match, and now you're upset that your team was willing to rat out your hiding place over it?

    Survivors are toxic.
