Freddy after Rework
So, I haven't played Freddy since he was perma invisible, before his rework. Is he able to teleport to gens 3 seconds into the game?

I was asking because someone told me he had to wait til his power charged before he could teleport. My SWF team all spawned by 1 gen together and the second we spawned in and could move Freddy teleported to our gen and smacked me. I was mainly asking Freddy mains or people who have played him after rework to see how his power worked.

Do you know how he was able to teleport 3 seconds into the game then? I clipped the match bc everything was very glitchy as well eventhough we're on dedicated servers.

Late reply but you need to tell the game that then bc it was literally not even 3 seconds in when he teleported lol. I clipped the video and will upload when I get the chance.

I'm not sure what to tell you. The power takes time to activate. It takes less time if the survivors are asleep. I think there is an add on that makes the survivors start out asleep which could allow you to teleport faster. But there isn't a way to teleport 3 seconds into the game. Feel free to post the video evidence though. I'd like to see it.

He gets his teleportation quicker the more people that are asleep. If you started the match asleep with his ultra rare then he can teleport very quickly.
if you notice he is teleporting a lot, your team is spending too much time asleep and need to find clocks (stops the sleep timer for 30 seconds I believe).

Teleportation is not available until 10 seconds into the game. Show the clip of him doing it in the first three second and send it to BHVR, or more likely it seemed faster than it actually was.

Maybe the killer spawned in the map before you did. It happens sometimes.

As someone who has played lots of Freddy, I can answer this. When the match starts, his teleport ability is on cd. However, it has happened to me sometimes that a bug makes it available right the start. Its extremely rare, but I have seen it happen.
Also, sometimes I wonder if you spawn in facing a generator and you press the key fast enough, you could bypass the cd, since the marker is up, it might be possible. Never tried it though.

Unless he used the paint brush add-on, which is still high unlikely, it is impossible to teleport 3 seconds in.

I finally had time to clip it. We didn't start in dream world and I'm fairly sure it hadn't been 10 seconds yet. Also there was just too much accuracy, we all spawned at the same gen and he came straight there, something just wasn't adding up.

That's a bug then. At the start of a match it acts like you have the ability to teleport, but doesn't allow you to. I am guessing a person found a way to exploit that and make it actually activate. Other options include;
- Your connectivity is bad, so the Killer was in the game long enough before you, that he got his teleport power, and then teleported when the red entity circle disappeared from the top of the screen.
- He's using the common dbd hack that came out recently.

100% a bug he should not be able to do that. Ive personally never had it happen to me playing as or against him.

He has to wait because the devs said it wouldn't be much fun if he could teleport to a gen as soon as the game starts. But that said, this issue applies to Hillbilly who can instantly start patrolling all the gens at silly speeds as soon as the game starts, so the devs rationale for making sure Freddy can't do a lesser version of that makes no sense to me.

When he came out of nowhere and I saw I was by a pallet i had planned to hit him with it but someone beat me to it and it disoriented me 😂😭. I promise I'm not that boosted lol.
