Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

So ... How do you reel survivors in most efficiently ?

Do you go forward ? Backwards ? Stand still ? Why ? Why not ? What even is the difference ? It's very unclear currently, some clarification from the devs would be much appreciated.

I've been playing with him for a little bit. Apparently if you walk backwards it pulls the survivor to you. Counter intuitive I know. I don't know if walking forward has an effect. If it does, it's small.

Depends on what you want to do. If the area in front of you is clear and you want to prevent them from getting around a corner, walking backwards is your best bet. If they're already at an obstacle, you'll want to try to keep a clear path for the chain as long as possible while navigating around it to hit them.

Walking forwards will still close the gap between you at the same rate, but the added movement from you moving backwards is handy for making sure that they can't get around a corner to break LOS.
