Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Doctor's Detonation Delay

What is this?

How does the new discilpine add-on affect it?

    @Iudex_Nemesis

    ripped this from the 3.6.0 patch notes

    • Discipline - Class 1/2/3: Now reduces the detonation delay of Shock Therapy by -0.1 seconds, -0.2 seconds and -0.3 seconds.

    The Affliction of Discipline used to vary in terms of how long the effect would stay active and whether they required a chase to activate. These variables are now the same across Discipline - Class 2, Discipline - Class 3 and Discipline - Carter's Notes

    the answer to your question

    It seems to be referring to when the shock attack activates on the ground, since using his main power "Shock Therapy" would require you to fully charge it, than shoot it off into the ground and wait a few seconds before the shock field manifests itself. From what i'm reading, it seems to make this shock field occur a lot sooner than the base-kit.

    It's the delay between releasing the shock and it actually hitting the Survivor. With this add-on, you can release the shock later than normal and it will still stun the Survivor.

    So it's not what I said above? It's just the charge rate for the shock itself? Or is it what i'm talking about above?

    Because "detonation delay" could mean either of those things.

    I just thought of it like a bomb and that the add-on reduces the time it takes for it to explode (or shock the Survivor in this case) after being placed and activated, so I think it’s what you’re talking about. I’m not 100% sure though.

    Probably, it sounds about the same as what I said above so I believe so.
