Player with best connection = host
im not sure how dedicated servers work exactly but if there is still a host of the game when dedicated servers are active it should be the person with the best connection not always the killer by default.

The host are the dedicated servers. No player is the host with them.
All connections are based upon it

That won't work because a survivor can be killed and leave the match before the match is over.

Because BHVR seemingly didn't spend too much on them to have them a number available at low ping for all areas.

Peer to peer = only the survivors have a ping which may affect hit detection.
Dedicated servers = all clients including the killer have a ping affecting hit detection which may cause incredible bs hits and misses for both sides - especially if the dedicated servers are poo poo.

wait but what if after host dies then it would just make the person with the next best connection host and if the killer had the best connection it wouldnt matter?

Also host migrations are a plague. Warframe is ruined by them.

Why would they want to make only the people nearest the servers have good matches, instead of treating all players fairly?
