Hey everyone, how's your experience with Deathslinger?
I haven't buy him yet, so i can't say from killer side.
From survivor side, he seems fun to play against, but a little underwhelming. He's tall, and he's loud. I can spot him across the map, or at least get the direction and distance. So i can't really get caught off guard, especially when i run spine chill.
What is your experience?

His terror radius is super odd. Like idk if all my Deathslingers have had Monitor and Abuse. It’s just really hard to tell how close he is. Plus his shot has no wind up time.
Basically he’s like Huntress but harder for Survivors to react to, with the downside of having a heavy reload length so it’s harder for him to quickly down people

very nice bruh

On console he is hell for me, just aiming down sights will lag your game to hell and back. Nearly impossible to get hits. But if you're on pc he shouldn't be all that bad

He's pretty fun to play against so far, though most haven't gotten aiming with him down yet. Dodging his shot is more rewarding than with Huntress, because you aren't immediately hit afterwards anyway.

I have had a very fun experience. He is an absolute blast to play. However, as has been said many times, he is a poor mans huntress.
Personally I think the reload speed from the wardens keys should be baseline, and not from a green addon. Just my opinion though.
His speed hurts him. I understand that he is a ranged killer and shouldn’t be flying around the map, but you can truly tell how much his gen pressure lacks with 110%.
Fun killer, though. If you aren’t “serious” about this game, he’s definitely enjoyable in terms of mechanics and aesthetics.

I'm almost done with adulting, gonna try to sling some death before i sleep...

He’s bad to start with (needs buffs) no map pressure so kinda like clown in that aspect (I’m on console) so he’s even worse I put him in D tier honestly

First game was crappy
Second game was decent
Third game I got Merciless against a bunch of rank 1s
He definetely is fun, he wil probablyl not be your average rank 1 meta killer, but he is fine.

He's only fun when you get the shots you deserve. Sometimes aiming especially on console can look like it's directly hitting the Survivor but nothing happens.
I had Survivors pull a pallet down after I had already shot them before, it's annoying and completely nullifys his power making him the worst killer in the game at that point.
He's only half decent when he plays fluidly and he just doesn't in console with his framerate lingering around 4fps and the rng choosing coldwind farm because it knows.

He's useless on larger maps, your BBQ lights up and you see 3 people on 3 gens on the other side of the map but it takes you like a minute to get there and they all pop xD

As Killer you need to make your shots hit. It doesn't matter that he has infinite ammo. You cannot miss and expect a pip.
As Survivor he's either gonna shoot you or he isn't. If he does, try to break the chain. If you let him M1 you, break line of sight at all cost, you're vulnerable for a down.
I do not like working on gens in front of Yee haw. All it takes is for him to turn around and charge his laser beam and now you're dealing with deep wounds.
I like the moment where you're reeling in a survivor though. They just have to sit there and wallow in the fact they got tagged.

Everyone keeps talking about how "fun" Slinger is but that isn't answering a vital question; is he viable?
People had fun with every killer came out. But when that haze fades, a couple months down the line, if he isn't viable, he isn't going go be fun anymore.

i've been playing shooters since forever...i just need to get use to his version of ads 🙄

Having fun. No actually, I mean it. I didn't expect to rate Death-Slinger, but I must say I am enjoying playing as him. I have been largely critical of the game as of late, mainly due to balancing and match-making. I also found Oni a crap killer.
Got his Adept trophy after about 10 games, managed to overcome some swf rank 1-2 squads. Sure some of the matches ended with Entity Displeased, I still had some good moments.
Example, 2 survivors left, one of which is hooked. Second survivor tries to unhook, I hit them once, they unhook, I down them and chain the unhooked survivor straight afterwards. Got them both.
The most comedy moment for me was some cocky little swine at the exit gates, running back and forth, trying to dodge my chain attempts. I then managed to shoot them...but what they didn't know is that I had the 15ft away exposed add-on! They got downed and hooked...what a spanner. They were playing at the exit gates and could of just escaped. Glorious.

People having fun now cos most survivors dont know how to play against him.
Once they do things will go downhill fast for this deathslinger guy lol.

He is really fun to play of the survivors are bad but if they are decent at gens and know how to loop huntress then your gonna have a bad time.

I can't really say yet, haven't played him
But I have seen enough videos and others talking about him to say he is a fun killer and has a high skill cap

Can't say yet. People are doing challenges and sometimes I think I'm winning more because of that than because of normal play. I can already tell he's not going to be as good on big maps but if I can make it work with Hag, I can do the same with Deathslinger.
Really, the conversation shouldn't be about how strong a killer is than it should be about map design because on a nasty setup, any killer can lose. Vice versa for the win, too.

I haven't had chance to play as him yet, but I get to try him out on Thursday.
I've seen game play and one thing I've noticed is that his terror radius is really small and also ends abruptly like he has built in M&A, is this a bug or is he supposed to be like this?

so far on console in rank 1 I have played about 8 matches with him and only didn't 3k-4k in one of them (indoor map), however I feel like that's mainly because I was playing smart and mind gaming survivors for constant hits without his power. That doesn't mean he is bad tho, I got a lot of hits with the redeemer and more consistently then I do with huntress so if you suck with her then death bringer might be the killer for you.
I will say that he is absolutely AWFUL on any indoor map, with all the walls and corners that survivors can use to break line of sight and the chain it makes you feel like your playing nurse in terms of being stressed that you cant use your power effectively.

All my games against him yesterday were 4k's except for one poor fellow who despite having Noed couldn't hit anyone.
All of you play exclusively in swf deathsquads? Pubs were mess.
Oh and he had no problems tagging people on console.

I've personally found him to be actually nowhere near as bad as I thought he'd be on console. I think he's far better than Huntress on console.
