Rude People

Hello, I'm Desh.

Some of you must have forgotten who created this game. You know, the Devs. The Devs that worked hard at creating what is relatively a great and unique product that you can enjoy with your friends or by yourself. The poor Devs that I constantly see being belittled and harassed in the forums because of something that an individual doesn't like. Not every aspect of the game is going to be perfect, nor will it be tailored to your specific needs. Being absolutely rude to the people who created this content for you to enjoy isn't going to solve anything either.

It takes a lot to build a game, and a lot more to maintain an online game at that. As long as new content comes into the game (content to keep the game fresh and enjoyable for you by the way), there will always be new bugs that will mess with the game. Report the bugs so that the Devs can do their jobs and move on. It needs to be annotated, but adding hate-filled content into the mix isn't aiding anything. If you don't like how something is run (i.e camping, a perk, a killer, etc.), then discuss it in the forums without calling out Devs for being one sided or useless.

It takes time to patch the bugs because you have to find the root of the problem, it takes time to cater to the requests of individuals if it's a good idea because now they have to design what you envisioned and make it fit into the game and keeping it as balanced as possible. If you don't like something, be an adult and state it with facts and reasoning on why you think it is a bad idea.

Just be mature and appreciate the Devs hard work. They don't have to give you new content.

I agree that it takes time, but doesn't it seem far too convenient that bugs or exploits on killers are gone in a week, yet survivor bugs and exploits are their for months? Bugs on killers that make them worse (Nurse) are STILL in the game, despite people telling the devs for months. So, I can't agree with you on this. The devs seem to pick and choose what they want to fix, and it always seems to be related more to survivors. And unless they show more evidence of this not being the case, it's hard to change my mind on it.

also the level of organization seems unprofessional at times things should not just "slip through the cracks" like they said about the plague change for the patch notes yesterday

It's fine to think that. But making an arse of yourself in the forums against the Devs is not going to speed up the process. And I don't think it's convenient because I haven't seen any Survivor bugs and exploits.

For me it’s always been about how you deliver the message.

You can feel mad and frustrated about something but your delivery is everything. Especially if your intent is for the devs to actually listen.

I think that’s what this thread is about.

pretty much took the words right out of my mouth here. I know I wouldn't respond to people constantly berating me or accusing me of conspiratorial favouritism every five minutes. Especially when it generally comes from all sides no matter what happens.

Only reason why I'm against this is simply because the devs are ignoring half of the community that makes it's player base. Anything killers do/any bugs that inconveniences survivors the devs nerf. But anything that annoys killers the devs ignore. For example, it took the devs 7 days to fix the DS bugs, but Nurse's bugs still exist which has been out before her r̶e̶w̶o̶r̶k̶(nerf).

You can't constantly say your gonna do something and not do it without back lash. I appreciate and understand everything they are doing to make the game better, but you can't piss off half your community just keep the other side happy.

Annoying killers is a lot different than bug exploitation against a killer. Again I've personally never seen it myself and I've played hundreds of games as killer. The ONLY thing I've seen that apparently is considered a bug is when survivors hide under hooked survivors to not get hit.

I think most people with half a brain cell agree with you. It's just there are fundamental flaws with their processes/focuses that need to be adressed. Some people just happen to be more passionate than most and aren't always the most eloquent of writers. Everybody here wants the game to do well, it's just frustrating when stuff goes ignored for a long time.

Let's get something straight, the devs didn't create this content for us, they created it for a paycheck.

Now, the devs have 100% earned the hate. The ruin patch notes talked only about survivor fun and took zero feedback from the killer community. They basically said this is how it's going to be, deal with it and git gud.

Killer bugs are ignored, but survivor bugs are fixed instantly. If they want people to be nicer, they need to realize there are two player bases.

Like any video game studio, their goal is to create a good game that is enjoyable to all. The devs here go the extra mile to create and add content to this game. 4 years and we're still playing it, so they're doing something right.

That said, it's not a perfect game. I've watched PC playthroughs and while I can't say for sure, the game looks to be pretty polished. I play on PS4 and I can say that it often have moments of being buggy and slow on response time. The devs do their best to provide adequate updates, but I do believe that they overthink some of the changes (ruin, toolbox, which were made powerful thanks to ruin nerf and Gearhead, to name a few), while seemingly ignoring things such as the unrealistic hitboxes that killers have. I also don't understand having to pay for a killer(s) that's not licensed. I totally get having to pay for Pig, Michael Myers, Freddy, etc., but paying for dev created characters like Clown and Deathslinger is kinda absurd, especially in these days where most additional content on other games is free. The devs put out these surveys, which is great, if they actually use the feedback, which from my point of view, it doesn't seem like they did. But hopefully they will eventually listen to the fanbase and incorporate some, not all, of the changes that you and me have complained about.
