Why does Legion have a penalty for basic attacks?
Your power gauge goes down every time you hit someone with a standard M1 on Legion. I just feel like that's an unnecessary handicap. Feral Frenzy already has a lengthy cooldown and is unable to down people. So why does it have to be hard to charge up too?
I think that Leg is the only Killer in the game that's actively discouraged from using basic attacks, which kinda sucks because a lot of perks are centered around basic attacks and don't work with Frenzy

Yeah, this, their stun duration, and missed FF attack penalty have been a pretty big complaint for a while now. At least a basic attack no longer depletes all of it.

Getting 360'd out of your power on Leg is fun cries

Hold on, what? You’re seriously punished for using a BASIC ATTACK?! Holy ######### that is stupid.

Uhhh. What if I want to use the tracking from Frenzy to switch targets and waste their time more by giving them a deep wound so they have to mend?

Or if you downed them and want to go after a 2nd not injured Survivor while slugging the first.

if anything killers need lengthier cool downs on everything. It’s ridiculous how fast they are and you’re telling me you want to attack faster without a cool down too? That’s not balanced at all.

Someone needs to do something about the lag survivors deal with. Killers get unfair hits
off on survivors all the time. It’s bad enough that killers have exposed and Mori. Lag makes game practically unplayable.

The Legion rework was handled very poorly. Too many nerfs in different directions for no reason. Its interesting how almost half of those awful "ideas" were reverted after a while (such as decreased Frenzy movement and vaulting speed), almost like they shouldnt have happened in the first place.
Back to the main topic, the M1 penalty is actually a remnant of old Legion. You would lose part of Frenzy charge so that you couldnt Frenzy instantly afrerward, cancel and down them. Why is it still here? Refer to the first paragraph. IE: The rework was poorly designed.

Yeahhhh it makes no sense in any capacity from what I can think of.
To further the point of it making no sense, I'll draw a comparison with Oni. Imagine if playing him and you hit someone without using your power, that you lost a quarter of it instead. Pretty stupid, right?
Now imagine giving that punishment to someone who's power; lasted a lot less time, couldn't down anyone, was slower, and is depleted completely from missing a hit or hitting someone they had hit previously. It just doesn't make sense.. Sadly, I don't think BHVR will change it for a while or until they rework him somehow.
Legion has become DBD's Irelia.

When they reworked Old Legion they nerfed every single aspect off his power, just to be sure nothing could be abused anymore. Even if it didn't make a lot of sense. I can't figure any scenario where using FF after a basic attack could be a problem, because FF can't down the survivors. But it certainly prevent you from efficiently using your power in slugging situations...
I also wish they removed the inability to see blood in FF, or made is so you are able to see scratch marks sooner after it ends. On some dark maps it can be very easy to lose a survivor you just hit with FF, because it seems you have to wait for the full fatigue duration before the scratches are visible again.

Nobody knows why
Maybe so you cant down someone with FF? nO wAiT

This effect actually made sense when Legion first came out, because you could use your FF when it was half charged. It doesn't make any sense now. Missing attacks penalizing you, something that came with the rework, only made sense when hits depleted the DW timer. Something the rework removed. I can see the fatigue duration. If you catch up to someone, technically it's still faster with the fatigue than with other killers, by a few seconds, but still. I kinda understand scratch marks being invisible, but why do they just disappear? They should still be generated. Idk. There were 2 exploits that needed to be fixed, and instead, the developers put Legion under the knife with a lengthy recovery. They're in a good spot now, all things considered. But a few minor tweaks would make them great without being OP.

Actually it still makes no sense there either. You can just activate frenzy before the first hit and do the exact same thing.

the point is to prevent the downing of one, then immediately going into frenzy... makes the killer have to think is it worth more to go after the next one since i can't get frenzy right away or should I hook the one i just downed (or attacked).

I believe it was there because of Old Legion, i didnt play back then but God the stories, The fear..

Legion was a killer they have zero thoughts on its power other than a reason to introduce cosmetics(facts). His whole chapter and even after the chapter ended was a massive circus.
