Death slinger is in low D tier change my mind
every Game I’ve had with him I’ve found it’s very easy to get away from him and loop him..all I do is run in a straight line and it takes him forever to get me and then when he does I abuse his 110% because his power isn’t that good against loops I think clown is better then him THE only thing he has that is better is his low terror radius but besides that clown beats him in 1v1 and gen pressure (because of the115%) against potatoe survivors you could do very well but that’s for any killer (I’ve 4K with no blink nurse) does that mean that build is godlike? No I just beat potatoes ..he’s high risk low reward

I think this is bait, but I'll go ahead and assume it isn't.
While I do not think he is super high tier, I don't think he is D-tier. He does everything Huntress does, slightly worse. For that reason, I generally put him close to Huntress. If Huntress is in B, then DeathSlinger is in low B or high C.

Huntress without the skill requirement is bad? A killer that can pull you toward him, effectively corral you and, change your position to his whim is bad? A killer with a gun is bad?
Have you tried... I don’t know... aiming? Because when I tried doing that on him, it pretty much broke the game for the Survivors I was going against.

you can 4K with anyone lol I’m thinking about people who play this game everyday people who know how to loop and do gens he is honestly the worse then clown in my opinion but if your going up against bad survivors then yea you can 4K but any killer can I’ve done it with no blink nurse lol just because you can get kills doesn’t mean there good

You can’t loop a Deathslinger if he has LoS on you.
Why? Because he can SHOOT YOU WITH A HARPOON AND REEL YOU TOWARDS HIM.
He has a gun. Use it.

he's new and hard to judge yet, but he can make some super insane shots if you're skilled enough with him so if you think running in a straight line is going to save you against better killers using deathslinger then you're very poorly mistaken

also half the time you don't even need to mindgame or zone or anything, having a gun does that for you, survivors are so scared of getting shot they'll throw themselves into deadzones

Deathslinger has tools, but they ultimately don't matter because he has horrible pressure. Outside of Clown, he's the most inefficient killer on the roster. He moves at 110. To even get the most out of his power, you have to land the shot, reel them in, M1, wipe the weapon, and reload. Compare that to Huntress who simply has to land a hatchet and only has a brief cooldown on the throw. One locker reload is probably the same amount of time as reeling in one survivor for an M1 hit. The hitbox on the harpoon is so small that it's arguable whether or not it's worth the risk to take the shot in many instances because the benefit vs a normal melee is deep wound.
Yes, he can land a shot at low wall pallets and walk around before the chain breaks. Huntress can just down them with a hatchet. Plague can either play the pallet at 115 or use Corrupt Purge if she happens to have it. Exactly what advantage does Deathslinger have? Stall? He moves at 110. Stealth? Sure. Again though, he moves at 110, loses at jungle gyms or high wall pallets, and has no instadown potential. Unless the survivors are AFK, the gens are getting done.
I think Deathslinger is legitimately awful. Fun to play sure, but I also don't think bad killers are fun to use consistently. I don't see any way that he's competitive against good survivors who are actually trying. The situations where Deathslinger shines only arise because you're playing Deathslinger in the first place. I can down someone with a hatchet, down them with vomit, or shoot them, spend 10 seconds reeling them in, wipe my weapon, and then reload my gun. Hmmmmmm

Deathslinger is top of low tier but that isn't saying much. This killer has terrible gen defence, I've never been gen rushed so fast than with this guy. Everything he does is slow ( with the exception of the gun itself). He moves around at 110% and doesn't have a mobility power (same problem with the Huntress). He slows down when reloading, missing a shot, reeling.
He also has the same problem as the Clown, to where you can camp the pallet or throw it down early. So unless it's a crappy Hawkins pallet, he can't anything. This is one of his biggest problems because now you have to respect pallets as a...110% KILLER!
All his power is good for is chase, most killers have multiple functions but again like the Clown, all he does well (somewhat) is chase. If you think that chase is the only thing that matters, then get gen rushed because you can be an amazing Deathslinger and still be easily destroyed. Deathslinger is a noob stomper but against anyone with a brain, he's rubbish.
So in conclusion this ######### joke of a killer needs a buff and should have been buffed from ptb. This whole patch was crap. The killer is crap. The map is Haddonfiled 2.0 (crap), the perks are crap though for the people is ######### broken in swfs. This whole patch is garbage!
Even though the map is the new Haddonfield, it's still one of the best looking maps to date. Well done to the art team once again for carrying this game.

I honestly have to agree, maybe it's that most people do not understand how to play him yet but wherever I play against him I feel like every single pallet is super safe since the chain breaks very easily and I can run off with just a deep wound while he is wasting a lot of time with the flashy power of his.
The only thing that makes him scary to me is his low TR with Monitor that could catch me off guard.

Perkless I'd rate him low in terms of viability, maybe mid low tier.
With a proper build I would put him high-ish mid tier.
With a few more weeks of practice I'd put him low mid tier.

Pure bait. Deathslinger is a pretty solid killer. I've had 9 matches today with only 2 escapes. 1 via hatch with a key they found.

as a survivor player, I usually die pretty easy against him...
he is deadly and I love hard survival games...
I think the secret of winning with him is to force a 3 gen situation...
no survivor dares to taunt him with dancing or flashlights...
all killers struggle against a team too focused on gens...

I'm not even saying that he is 110%. Not even saying that his gen pressure is awful. Not mentioning that he is worse version of Huntress. Don't really care that all his perks are situational asf.
The real problem I have with Deathslinger is... it's really hard to aim.
Hitboxes are pretty small. Add to this the fact that his gun shoot projectiles instead of hitscan. And for some reason sensitivity drops drastically when you aim, making it harder. And also, sometimes I got shots which should be on point from my POW, but, well, nope. Don't forget about limited range of chain.

Well. I think he's bad too. Because he got no snowballpotential, a set range and 110% speed. His power gives him no map pressure. That are my reason why that killer is bad. So why is he as good as you think he is? Give me some arguments before you call everyone a moron.

I’ve not really had any problems escaping from death slinger lol I’ve either escaped or died because I couldn’t find hatch maybe I’m just good at the game but I’ve played dbd for 3khrs all day everyday I can see when a killer is weak so between that and actually going against him that’s why I put him in low D tier

I’m talking from a survivor stand point (solo) to by the way if I had a swf I’d almost always win lol but I can just tell he’s weak before you say anything I do play killer I main spirit but playing death slinger he’s just so weak it’s not worth my time

He's not weak at all. You just have not faced someone who knows how to use him yet. Throw STBFL on him and PWYF and he is pure beast.
