Buff Clown

As simple as the title says. He's not really viable in any circumstance unless it's rank 20-16 survivors who are just starting out. Addons can make him playable to an extent, but addons don't solve his slow movement speed and lack of any form of map pressure.

    Clown has really boring add-ons too. Clown needs to be less add-on reliant and he needs more interesting add-ons.

    Like what if for example, Kerosene Can made it so bottles no longer explode with gas on impact but leave a trail of gas as the bottle flies through the air. THAT would be an add-on. It doesn't even necessarily need to be good it just needs to be fun and game changing

    I honestly don't mind his addons very much, I find that the better ones can give enough of an upper hand to be worth taking. I just want to at least see clown's movement speed increased, or give him some sort of tracking ability, i don't know.

    If we follow all your points , we should rework killer that is add on reliant . So we should rework Wraith , we should rework trapper, we should rework Hillbilly.

    Clown is fine if you play him correctly

    Clown is not bad because he is addon reliant. Clown is bad because his power is weak, he is slow, he has zero map pressure, and he is M1 reliant. His addons help ease the pain of playing as him, but it does not fix his core issues. There is a reason clown is regarded as the worst killer amongst killer mains, and "just play him correctly" is a horrible way to excuse such a barebones killer.

    @Tunnel_Me_Please that's not how add-ons are designed. They have to serve a function, that idea would be useless since it would obscure your own vision/LOS nor hinder or deter possible routing taken by the survivor.

    @nea_isnt_a_killer you want to see a killer that can hinder survivor's movement and anti-route be faster than 4.6? That's mad. And to answer your initial post, you're misinformed. Clown is fine at what he does. And he is viable at Red ranks, every killer is. Just learn how to play him efficiently and his unique techs too. I've posted responses on so many 'Buff Clown' posts. It's actually ridiculous at this point how many people struggle with him.

    Oh here's a cool thing too. I just played a game with clown and the Redhead's Pinky Finger addon which is SUPPOSED to cause the exposed effect DOES NOT WORK. So the ONLY addon this idiot has that makes him usable is gutted from him. How can anybody possibly say this doesn't need a rework???

    Not every killer suppose to have map pressure and ill tell you this: even with moblie killers its best to just play around 3 gens except you have ruin and some more relevant perks. Survivors can easily fix gens that are not 3 gens located close to each other even if you have mobility unless you really played good and won mind games.

    Quick word of advice after having so much time in this game : You should always start to play aiming for how to end game right @ now.

    @nea_isnt_a_killer you're using a bugged add-on as a reason for an entire overhaul?

    He can make strong routes and loops weak by literally hindering speed/deterring them from being played in the first place. He can also mindgame LOS blocked loops with his audio. He can shut down weak loops very quickly, that guarentees him hits far quicker than any other basic attack killer would do in that loop. He's fine as he is

    Personally I think he needs an actual rework than a few buffs but I feel like they just don't care about him

    I used to think exactly what you're saying is true, but go and ACTUALLY play him against survivors who know how the game works. They will drop the pallet early and force you to follow them to the next loop. You can either spend the next minute and a half chasing this person while 3 gens get completed, or hopelessly patrol the gens, where they get done anyway, and end the game with 0k. Seriously, go and play him for a while and tell me he's perfectly fine.


    I'm pretty sure he's been mostly forgotten since nobody plays him for how unplayable he is. And apparently people here don't think there's ANYTHING wrong with him. Feels like money wasted tbqh
