Killer buff: smaller map size or higher base speed
What could be a better buff regarding killers and overall map presence.
Does the answer lie in making maps smaller or should it be better to increase the walking speed when not in a chase.

Smallet maps. Faster killers would make most loops really unsafe and killer favored.

Smaller and less op maps. Map design and size are one of the biggest issues in the game.

Decrease map size and kill God loops (asylum) for sure. As we've seen in case of OldLegion™ and the MoonwalkingDisaster™, chase mechanics are very abusable. Just have a permanent speed boost? No thanks, change the maps.

Yeah just downsize the maps and I think the game would be in a good state. Springfield and haddonfield are roughly the size that maps should be, not that ridiculously huge map on autohaven. That's just insane

or give killer speed 3-5% when there's no survivor within 32m, this way the extra speed they gain can't be used for chasing but for patrolling.

what do you mean, don't you don't enjoy when the survivors get the middle generator in azarov's resting place splitting the map into 2 3 gen clusters that are like 70m from each other with only one way you can approach them from? :^)
increasing speed would break the game. map size would require them to rework every single map (I like the design and balance of the new maps, i guess we can just wait for every single one to get remade... lol. c u in 10 years.) I could see something like a slight reduction to attack hit cooldown animation, something to the effect of shaving, like 1 second off the catching-up-to-wounded-survivor-after-you-hit-them part of a chase, which takes ~15 seconds if you're both moving in straight lines, iirc. Or frankly, put med vaults back at their pre-buff speeds. Or overhaul killer addons so that they're not mostly garbage. Iunno. It'd have to be a subtle thing cuz otherwise you'd topple the whole toothpicks and gum network of interrelated balance concepts, lol.
