Totem Count Icon
Before I get reemed about this. Let me first just just if you don't think it's fair/OP to have a Totem count Icon think about this. We have a generator count Icon. How is that not OP. BESIDES thrill of the hunt as well as other new totem counter perk now exist. I'm a totem smasher but I hate wasting time looking for 2 totems that have been done already. sooo. LETS TALK ABOUT IT

If you add it to small games or something else like that (basically survivor version of the thrill of the hunt counter) then that's fine.
If you want it in the base kit then no

Both survivors and killers get a gen count icon.

Even that would be better having something to know how many totems are left

Give small game and detectives hunch a totem counter and we goochi

Well duh but we all know there is 5 gens why do we need an icon. Same for totems. We all know there's 5 bit get no icon....sell me something here I wanna know if this is bad idea. Because I play killer am srvivor equally an I wouldn't mind it. I never use hex perks anyway so go ahead waste time

There is. Hex retribution an thrill of the hunt

I understand where your coming from but based off how we all play. Killer an survivor. That's not the concept am there needs to be a change...IMO...we've nerfed an boosted so much crap I feel it's a great addition

Hell no
Devour hope and noed would be useless
1 -
What? I meant like a counter... that counts that amount of totems. Not a counter to a perk.

Someone mentioned that. Give small game a count Icon for how many totems there's is

I’m mostly confused as to why you brought up retribution and thrill.
also give detectives hunch a totem counter too.

Basekit? NO!

Not a count, but an icon that shows when all 5 totems were cleansed. That would bo good for both survivor (specially solo) and killer ("no NOED? Let me struggle more begore last gen").
A basekit like that would be really good.

I'm not fond of giving free information with the vague possibility that it would be useful to both sides.
it takes the element of surprise that no one escapes death can have and running no one escapes death is already a gamble as it is.
If it's on a perk at least you're sacrificing a perk slot for the information.
If you don't want to bring in the perk you should either trust your judgement that they are all taken care of or have to go the extra mile in looking for totems.

I agree with the idea that it shouldn't be base kit, I disagree it should be added to an existing perk. Knowing how many totems are left on the map is a very important information. It should be its own perk.

Just run Detective's Hunch if it's that big of a deal to you. The time needed to search for totems and the ignorance of how many are left is their main purpose.

If you have to rely on Devour and Noed to get a 4k, you have bigger issues to deal with first.

In what possible way would a totem counter change devour hope's effectiveness? Please think long and hard about that...because it doesn't do anything. "Oh there are X amount of totems left? Great, my devour is now useless because they know how many totems are on the map". It doesn't make sense. NOED wouldn't be useless, but who cares if it was how would that be a bad thing lol? That's the one perk everyone wants to see less of, and if survivors had an actual way of knowing how much progress they've made to removing NOED before the EGC they wouldn't ever complain about the perk ever again.

How is it a counter? Solo survivors waste more time trying to find out how many totems left than doing all gens .

Small games counting or using detectives hunch can very easily reduce that amount of time.

Can we stop with this annoying straw man argument saying that it would lower the value of a perk is not indicating that you rely on it.
Devour hope and no one escapes death are meant to come as a surprise either one that's built up or one that comes at the end.
Too much information can very easily ruin the value of those surprises does that mean that you need those perks to win no but it is annoying to have those values ruined.
Another way to put it in a more survivor based context going up against plague can very easily make healing perks useless however making that statement does not mean you rely on healing perks
