Oni or The Shape? (help)
Looking to buy a new killer. I've pretty much narrowed it down to either Oni or Myers. Which killer would you get? Perk wise, fun value, actual skill ceiling for the killer etc. Thanks!

Myers is somewhat of a blank slate. You can go super stealthy with things like M&A, or chain multiple downs back to back with Infectious Fright. And of course there's always the old Scratched Mirror. He's simple, but there's a lot of different ways to play him. He's also got some pretty decent perks.
Oni is more of brute force kinda' guy. There's a little less variety to how you can play him when compared to Myers, but if you're looking to zoom around the map and hulk out every once in a while, I'd recommend him. There's definitely a higher ceiling for Oni than there is for Myers.
TL;DR: Depends on what you're after. Myers has different playstyles, Oni lets you go fast and smash. Both are fun in their own ways.

Myers, you can buy oni with shards later but you can't buy big boy myers with shards

I agree with Peanits' opinions on these killers, one thing worth adding though is that Oni's perks are all trash except Nemesis being very situationally usefull in some perk combos. So I'd pick Myers.

No. He has a very good perk (STBFL), a not great but viable perk (Dying Light) and a perk that can be amazing when built/played around correctly (Play With Your Food). Imo he has one of the better perks in the game.

Myers. You can buy Oni with shards.

STBL is okay. Just okay. You could never run this perk on any killer and wouldn't miss much. Dying Light is over-rated and it isn't rated all that high by most players. PWYF is just a meme perk. I stand by what I said.

both are some of my favorites, but Myers does have better perks that work well on several other killers, and more diversity of gameplay since his add ons tend to change how his power works, more so than Oni. Oni's add ons mostly jsut adjust the numbers a bit, except for Renjiro's glove, which is AMAZING.

I think Myers is better for the reasons that have been mentioned here and you can pop his power instantly in a chase (if you have it charged 99%), no power up animation so he has more of a surprise factor with his instadown. Myer's addons are better than Oni imo.

Michael Myers, no question. He has a fun power that can allow for snowball situations, has solid Perks which can all have STRONG uses for almost all the Killers.
The best part though, is that his add-ons can drastically change how you play him/engage Survivors. Which offer a lot more mileage to playing him and keep you from getting too bored
Oni can be fun but getting use to his power amd advance techniques with flicking (at least here on console) can be outputting or stressful.

As someone who mains oni, I would say him. But like others have mentioned, you can get oni with shards.
I would say buy Myers and get oni with shards.

Get Oni for shards and buy Michael.

Myers has more versatility and better perks. Probably the more fun killer to play as.
Oni is undoubtably the “better killer” but lacks versatility, has worse perks, and relies on you being able to snowball frequently.
Buy Myers and get Oni with shards.
