Iron Will is good in a way most don't realize
Iron Will seriously confuses Killers in chases. Anyone who plays Killer will tell you that they pay just as much attention to sound cues as to what they can see.
If you have Iron Will equipped, it is significantly easier to mindgame Killers and escape chases. That's the reason that Iron Will is so strong. But only high rank survivors or ones that have significant experience playing both sides would know that. Most people would just think its a mediocre stealth perk like urban evasion or something.

I think it is a great perk and I rarely play without it. Sure it gets countered by Plague or Stridor but still I consider it really good. I love chases but also love to escape them and Iron Will helps me with that.

I don't use cuz all the killers I go against are def

Who cares when the sound has been broken for years

So... which is the way most don't realize? You're just describing the perk. Of course it's used to confuse killers and lose chases. What's the news you're trying to spread?
7 -
The sound is already broken to where it's like every Survivor has Iron Will.
1 -
Yeah, I don't use Iron Will atm because half the time my Survivor makes no noise when injured anyway.
0 -
Iron will and dead hard are the biggest counters for nurse, I hate chasing a survivor who uses both of those perks
0 -
the lack of sound in general (aka: being healthy) is less useful than the lack of sound when the Killer is expecting sound

who needs iron will
Adren, DS, DH, Object for maximum looping
its not a story the Jedi would tell you

What's funny is that people complain about Spirit and needing Iron Will, yadda yadda, when Iron Will is a strong perk against any killer. There is ample reason to use it, especially if you suck at running from a Spirit. It makes a huge difference.
As as a Spirit main that uses Stridor specifically to counter Iron Will, even then Iron Will is still good because a lot of the times chase music will drown out your cries of pain. It's really best to just find those survivors that want to hide instead of run, especially Blendettes that just disappear into the fog. But in a chase IW will have the edge.

Iron Will is one of the best perks in chases for sure but you are right, many people still underestimate its potential.

tbh if you use stridor on spirit are you really learning how to play?
its like riding a bike with training wheels and someone is holding onto you so you don’t fall
it makes her trivial to play
1 -
The deep synergy with her powers that you describe is so a reason to use it. Isnt it?
As a forum, he is bringing to ppl that didnt think about it a very helpful tip. Myself took a long time to discover the power of IW. Its not just its description, but its consequences hes talking about to the ones that dont know.

Its like iri head+belt or Bamboozle billy
it removes any challenge you could otherwise have, not like Spirit is hard to win with anyway

I think Distortion needs more stacks and maybe the killer won’t find you in the first place. Killers have so many aura reading abilities that I don’t think 3 is enough.
1 -
The 3 stacks give you data from when he can see your aura. After they are gonne, you can act properly. This is the main thing about Distortion: data about conditions of aura reading by a perk or addon.

Iron Will is like a 5000 chance perk if used right. :D

Iron Will is amazing.

It's there to counter Iron Will. It's useful against survivors without it, but if you do not have Stridor the ones with Iron Will are super difficult to track and find.

Iron Will is my go to perk when playing survivor.
0 -
I often run No Mither AND Iron Will, so this completely counters Stridor. I feel sorry for those poor Spirit's that use it against me. 😂

If I play a match and a Survivor has Iron Will, I aim to kill them first. So much hassle late game trying to find a silent Survivor.

Who needs Iron Will when you have Ace?

I love iron will. At the moment i always use iron will, urban evasion, spine chill und wglf for some extra bloodpoints.

When I am playing Killer, I always play with headphones and use the injured sounds a lot. I hate going up against Iron Will!

Iron Will is probably the most useful perk a survivor can have, since it helps both in chases and with stealth. Personally I always have it in my builds.

Yes this works I've done it too.
The new survivor perk Off The Record can also stack with Iron Will. You may make noise at first, but after you get caught once you should be able to hide from her no problem. It does 100% also meaning that it will even beat a Nurse with Stridor and Metal Spoon (which stack to make you louder).
Also OTR combos INSANELY well with OOO. You basically get free OOO for 80 seconds after a hook. Bring Distortion for the beginning and you can basically have free OOO all game.

I often say to my friends that at red ranks, survivors only have 3 perk slots, but nobody makes injured noises.

I dont think so. Many may not realize how OOO actually works but this no. Survivors can actually hear themselves pretty loud when injured and realize that killer hear that as well.

"Iron Will" is godlike on a good survivor. I hope they leave it like that and don't add a dumb limitation, looking at you "Lucky Break".
