Did they enable crossplay or are people hacking?

I just ran into two people who appeared to have been from a different platform, I'm on Switch and I found two people who had the globe icon on their names, the one that shows up from matching with a Windows Store user on Steam. Did the devs enable crossplay somehow or are people hacking to get into crossplatform lobbies?

I'm only aware of PC players having crossplay to other platforms. I being a PS4 player can't tell cause Sony refuses to enable crossplay between other platforms therefore I would do research if i were u to make sure there isn't any cheating

They are already hacks to let u play with different platforms I wouldn't be surprises if is that rather then a bug
