I'm assuming you don't play much survivor, since you said you don't understand what drives people to play that mode. So I'd like to suggest that you might feel differently about it not "taking skill to play" if you gave it a real try for yourself.
I'm not saying the game is perfectly balanced or that there aren't some serious issues with it, but this kind of elitism gets us nowhere constructive.

Survivor is so boring. Literally sit infront if a gen then wait at the exit gate until egc for the killer to force you out
2 -
At high ranks against a good killer you'll usually get a 3k unless a survivor is good at looping. Most high ranks are good at looping. Looping takes skill. Baiting also takes skill, and hitting great skill checks takes a bit of skill.
Unless they're using urban evasion around the map waiting for the hatch, most high rank survivors have skill.

Sounds like either you're not a good killer, or you just went up against better survivors. I can scream bloody murder too about me dying all the time and killers needing to be nerfed, but I won't because in order for me to win, I have to get better, find perks that works best for me, etc. You want winning games constantly handed to you, go play Mario Bros. or something.

As kill you obviously need much less skill to play this game.

In all honesty both roles require little to no skill in order to win, if we look at winning as escaping/getting 2 or more kills. In terms of pippin, it takes a little more skill but not much. As a survivor, all I have to do is hold M1 for x amount of time and occasionally hit a skill check, which don't take much skill to hit anyway. In terms of chasing, all you have to do is have good memory in order to memorize loops. Sure sometimes there's mindgames here and there but most safe pallets have no mindgames. All in all, desired outcomes for chases only happen when the opponent makes a mistake. When playing as killer, you have to rely on the survivor making a mistake in order to get a hit on them, unless they couldn't reach a loop in time, or you decide to bloodlust them, which is a huge yellow rank play (aka an immediate 2 minute gg). With survivor, you don't have to really rely on the killer making a mistake, all you need to do is put space between you and the killer and he cannot get to you unless he goes around said space, which by then you could already get behind more space, or he destroys it (pallets), which then takes time to do, and in that time, you could easily be at another loop, be it safe or unsafe. The only things that change this are moonwalks and even then, most experienced survivors already expect it 99% of the time. And there's also the red stain.
Basically, both roles heavily rely on situational outcomes, mostly killer but survivors suffer from this as well, aka worrying about whether teammates are doing gens or not, who's gonna go for the saves, does he have BT or not, who's getting chased, should I do this safe gen or go for the mid gens so that we don't get gen locked, etc. There's not much skill in a game where you have to rely on too many factors. It's why fps and fighting games are the most skill based games, because you don't have to rely on many factors to begin with, you just need to know what you're doing and you're good to go.

A gen and a half, 1 or 2 saves and it's a guaranteed pip.
No skill. It's how I've gotten to Rank 1 as a survivor, literally. Die every match, but make damn sure to get a gen or two and hook farm at least twice to pip.
2 -
I think illustrates one of the bigger problems, to pip as a killer, particularly at higher ranks, takes significantly more effort, not to mention so many things outside your control can completely screw you over.
If survivors don't like playing against your killer, and take themselves out on first hook say goodbye to your devout score.
Gatekeeper? In this gen rush meta? You better be on the ball with that "just pressure the gens bro".
Malicious and Chaser are usually fine, except for malicious taking points away for healing, even though there is clearly times it's better to let survivors run off and heal.

When they finally implement the 2v8 mode people want. So never.

What kind of "skill" are you talking about? What exactly do you want to change?
Do you want them to remove pallets/windows(big surprise) and want the survivors to git gud and somehow dodge killer attacks? Yeah , that would take a lot of skill and all of the survivors who can't do that are scrubs. Lol.

Wow ive never met anyone whos only ever played against afk killers before!

Good one bud KEKW

Oh, thought you were going to ask for bloodlust to be removed or one of the other things that baby killers.
Guess I was wrong.
ahem.

Survivor is easy. It's killers who suffer. I play both killer and survivor and it's so easy as survivors.
1 -
Before nerfing survivor, change my teammates to bots, just like the mobile disconect bots

Maybe when killers turn off their easy mode? Doesnt take skill to use Noed, Ebony Mori's, Haunted Ground, Devour Hope ect and face camp hooks.
1 -
i feel there is a clear difference between someone tbagging and you bringing an offering that is designed on ruining the game for four people
1 of those only matters if you have an ego

Maybe dont insult survivors

They are two completely separate games. Don't compare them.
Besides, if you want to compare "Baby-modes" then maybe don't have killers who claim they have skill, but only tunnel and camp. Bit more of a baby mode than trying to avoid someone when they have loads of ways of finding you and the ability to literally delete you from the game.

Then go play left 4 dead?
If you are huffing and puffing and insulting people like a kid who just dropped his ice cream because he got beaten and couldn't ignore a bunch of kiddies doing the butt Olympics, perhaps this isn't the game for you?
I get frustration, i do. But insulting and generalising a whole group of people as 'babies' kinda makes the statement ironic.

I never said it was viable, I said that it is a baby-mode way of playing. And the devs have legitimised them as tactics since they have not only given perks to "counter" them, but said they are not bannable.
I'm personally super against them and think that they ruin the game for everyone. Not just the one that's being tunnelled/camped. I prefer to spread my hooks and snowball.
Back to my original point though, we're talking about two completely different games. It is unfair to compare them.

When’s Killer gonna take skill? You guys are already being handed ez kills with ebony Mori’s, exposed, lag hits on people and one hit downs with abilities. I don’t think half the kills you get each game are deserved if you really think about how unfair it can be. With so little effort too. No it’s hard being a survivor too. Takes good map knowledge and proper planning and evasive strategies to be efficient. You can’t just prance around doing gens wherever and not assisting teammates when they go down 😂 so what are you saying. What’s this baby mode that needs nerfing? Survivors don’t need no nerfs. Get outaaaa here you.

I agree with this guy. Survivors don’t get infinite screw ups. Killers OP 😂 They’re totally in charge of how long you get to play as a survivor. I can understand some killers might be harder to work with than others In terms of map control. But I disagree that killers are underpowered lol the devs literally give you everything you need as a killer to kill. Alternate ways of escaping is absolutely necessary for the very reason killers have the ability to swiftly patrol gens and execute survivors so quickly. This guy 1millionpalletstogo Complaining that 3/4 survivors left via hatch is ridiculous. They still have to do 4/5 gens at that point it’s really easy for you to camp those last 3 gens.
how is it fair to force survivors to do that last gen if gen speed goes any slower and even with its current speed it’s too risky because the killer can show up really fast before you make much progress. it’s kinda Stupid. Killers not pressured to find people because there’s no match timer either. So he’s mad there’s a hatch? 😂
1 -
Idk if this bait or not, but everything you listed off besides Mori's is literally something that is placed in the hands of survivor's to control if y'all used teamwork and did bones
0 -
op is mad because he lost as a killer😂

it does kinda get stale fast, another interpretation would be to add more things to make survivor more exciting

I mean... anyone that says that survivor is hard either isn't genuine or just isn't very good at the game.
I play survivor when I don't want to think much and just watch a stream/movie/vid in the background. It requires next to no attention from me as it is simply that easy. Sure as hell I can die if killer camps me to hell or survivors are potatoes(which the often are) and don't do gens or rush the hook but somehow I'm still ranking up even while doing stupid challanges like opening the hatch with a key twice or finish the game with no mither.
1 -
Problem is; killers don't play "honest" like you... 70% of my matches as a red rank survivor have one or multiple of the issues I mentioned. You killers claim survivor is easy mode; when it really isn't unless you're a god at looping and memorizing every tile known to mankind.

Teamwork? There is no teamwork when cleansing as a solo queue survivor and there's no way to determine if all 5 totems are cleansed. If you as a survivor run off to cleanse them all on your own; you're wasting time looking for totems that could already have been cleansed instead of working on generators.

Left 4 Dead 2 (not too sure about L4D1 though) actually had the same "problem" at high levels of skill though, the survivors were really really strong. That's why serious competitive versus games were usually done with mods like confogl, which made it harder for survivors (no medkits and only painkillers, less high-tier weapons, more tanks)

WAIT so 3 out of 4 escaped out of the hatch? I mean that means they had to do 4 or 5 gens at least so they kind of earned it. I mean to do gens and then HOPE you can find the hatch is kind of tough at times. I am also assuimg they were on Mics or something to be able to coordinate that. I mean I have never been lucky enough to see everyone get out of a hatch together let alone 1 person. lol
1 -
And that explanation right there is the reason why your complaining about NOED. NOED punishes survivor's for being too focused on gens

Have you ever tried playing killer? Or did you play one game of killer at rank 20 and was like "killer is too easy"? It's not even worth debating or trying to open your eyes because of how how proud you are of being survivor bias
