oh my god. Play killer with this Ruin perk. You probably rarely play killer. Killers are weak. Ruin is weak if you don't stand right there always nearby defending it. And even if you do. The survivors are still stronger.

Ruin is the only thing killers can do to slow down gens. And even then, totems on most maps have terrible placement so most of the time ruin is destroyed fairly early and even as early as the first 30 seconds of the map. That said great skillchecks aren't even that hard to hit. Survivors work through ruin quite often. Without ruin most games would be 3 minutes long.

So you just need to git gud. You're clearly new to the game so play more and improve instead of crying for nerfs. That's the reason for Freddy's current state.

Ruin is actually a horrible perk for killers. It slows down the game, but it can be destroyed quite quickly and also incentive survivors to learn how to hit great skill checks towards the point it becomes useless.

What annoys me about some survivours players is they call for nerfs to killer because in their view only survivoirs is getting nerfed. Despite the fact that machine gun huntress got nerfed along with insta saw billy. Their also buffing pallets dropping so you get a faster drop. There increasing the recover bar cap on slugged survivours. There improving sabo too.

But go on tell me how the survivours role is the only getting nerfed. Because from what i see the best killers are getting nerfed and the worst killers are getting buffed that seems fair to me. If we did nerf ruin it would make only some killers viable in the higher ranks. Killers like pig, doctor and freddy need ruin to have even a small amount of time.

how about SC, it has 99,999999% usage

Also the devs dislike games below 5 mins I believe, hopefully they will fix gentime soon and then we can get rid of ruin

When did the exhaustion nerf actually nerf anything? hex ruin can be taken out quickly HELL i spawned infront of hex ruin as survivor once. As far as i know the only actually nerf any survivor perks are getting is decisive.

No -- instead, look at the reason why killers are using Ruin. Generators are completed way too quickly with a halfway competent team. You don't even need to be SWF. A game with 4 solos that I just played involved me and another player starting on 1 gen, a third player starting somewhere else, and after about a minute, the killer finding and chasing a 4th player. Eventually, the killer caught the 4th player. Our generator was done before the 4th player was downed and the third player finished his generator just as the 4th player got put on a hook. Two generators down and 1 hook is not how the game should work if all 4 survivors can be hooked up to three times.

Instead of making generator time longer or adding more generators though, I think they should make the game more interesting by adding more secondary objectives for the survivors.

People can power through Ruin. If anything, it needs a buff.

And even that is being delayed for ages now

Hex perks are meant to have OP effects, at the cost of fragility.

Perhaps a suggestion - when a hex totem is destroyed, the effect would persist for about 60 seconds (token-based hexes would retain their level during this time).

That was asked since nearly release.

Devs released "Hex:Ruin" as an answer in December 2016.

As a survivor main I think killers need ruin to slow down gen rushing. Even then experienced survivors can work through ruin. Or it gets taken out quickly.

There was a suggestion I've seen here on the forums where someone suggested that cleansing hex totems would make them apply permanently to the survivor who cleansed the totem and I think that would be a great idea. In the case of Ruin that would mean at least one survivor will always have the effect on them.
