Just got the same bug, i was huntress, a player was afk, hit him twice, and just when the hook animation was about to end, match froze, 10 seconds after it kicked me from the game giving the "Match server unavailable" message and got 5 minute matchmaking ban.. also -1 pipped back to a rank before..
Terribly annoying bug, please fix this.

I agree, there is a Bug, when a person disconnects, you try to raise it because of which your FPS drops and you are thrown out of the match and given a ban

Just to know, had dedicatessen server considered it as a volunteer disconnection and have you a penalty for that when you are back in menu please ?
I know devs are overwhelmed by bugs (this is the particularity of the game) but I'm really curious to know if this "team" has taken some precautions with his new punishment system or if they don't are able to make difference between 2 kinds of DC...
Anyway, resolving bugs can take time (almost until the next patch or more...) and still it will be resolved, it can appear back in game. So if they can fix, check it back later because, you know... human mistakes and Bhvr... A long story... Why doesn't it appeared during the PTB ?

That's why I disapprove dc penalty... It's so unfair when u have some penalty for something that u dont even did on purpose

I suggest devs to work on something to bring the players back when their connection goes off *for some seconds* idk if y'all got it
anyways there's a tool like that on free fire and others online games and It's pretty important to add on dbd
or remove the damn dc penalty which it is simpler to do
