EVERY match I faced as Survivor is about tunneling to death and beeing camped.

I understand if people doing tunneling because Gen rush.I play Killer too and know the reasons but since the Update people consitantly tunneling EVERY Survivor in the round. Some of them (Deathslinger) camping far away only to snipe you.

Only my 2 cent on what is going on(PS4/maybe other platforms)

The bloodrush event is only a week, I suggest you skip playing till its over. It attracts a den of scum and villainy usually players who dont play killer that much but will do so out of spite.

    It's happening on Xbox too.

Sad thing is that people I come across generally don't gen-rush.

It's easier to proxy camp a hook than it is to patrol generators on large maps.

camping is meta since 2016, since it's the most natural thing most killers do at their first match, same goes for tunneling.

But it wasn't every match. Besides that Camping isn't good for the Killer and they still do it even on green or purple ranks.

I only tunnel because I usually get 2-3 people all crowding me and I make them regret it with my sloppy/thana and then I resume my tunnel. Helps to slow the game and makes the survivors come to me.

I don't camp because I feel it's a waste of time, unless exit gates are powered, then you have no choice but to camp. I don't tunnel unless there's only 1-2 gens left.

Tunneling at 3-5 gens left just feels scummy.

There are 3 people that play DBD in my household. Person A ranges between level 5 to 8 survivor. Person B between level 10 to 12 survivor. Person C is newer and hasn't made it below rank 15 yet.

Observing all 3 of these I have noticed:

    • Person C has about 3 or 4 games out of 10 with a killer is either tunneling, camping, or slugging
    • Person B has around 4 to 6 games out of 10
    • Person A it's nearly every game

You can say what you will about why that is the case, but it seems in general if you want success as a killer it depends heavily upon doing one or more of those things. That isn't a condemnation of killers that do those things. If you aren't playing to do the best you can I don't know why you are playing period. Just pointing out it seems it is a rare player that can do really well as a killer and not do some combination of those things.

Its too late to start tunnel and camp on red ranks, when you have 1-2 gens left... At this point you most likely to loose this round.

If I tunnel, it's cuz I didn't see where their savior went, and then I just mercy slug. It gives a similar effect of hooking without forcing them through a hook state.

Well, tunneling is kind of the only way to even the game out a bit in the current meta with all the gen rushing around.

Once I hit red ranks, usually, the strategy is to tunnel the first guy you find, and narrow it down to a 3v1, and then go from there. That way, you have at least one kill, for the three gens that were done during the chase.

Now, do I like this? Absolutely not. This encourages the use of crutch perks like DS even more. Not to mention perks like Noed.

Theres always been scum who camp because they like it. Now, its the only guaranteed way to get at least one kill in the red rank sweatfest

In upper ranks, tunneling and camping only usually happen if the killer is really bad, you really pissed them off or all the gens are done. I see slugging as more meta than camping and tunneling. Although I don't like to be slugged or to slug, if done right, it is definitely the best way to slow down the game and can turn around a gen rush losing game to you decimating. Although it is un-fun, slugging is the best way to "pressure" the survivors and bring gens to a crawl or stopped.
