We have temporarily disabled Baermar Uraz's Ugly Sweater Cosmetic (all queues) due to issues affecting gameplay.

Dead by daylight will never be balanced

Here's the thing. Even if you bring all killers to be able to compete with swf. Solo queue players who aren't great but aren't bad will have a rough time. You keep it the way it is killers will have a rough time. However we need to try and bring all these as close together as possible without breaking one side. Currently swf is the most broken. If we can bring up killers a little bring down swf a little and find that sweet spot where swf can lose solo queue can win and killer can win all equally then that will be about as good as we can get

It will never be balanced because you can't account for every single rank with one change.

I agree completely that we need to focus on keeping players rather than drawing in new ones. However I don't think that's the focus from a developers stand point.

BHVR probably views it like this. "Do I want to keep a player that I already got money from or do I want to get a new player who could potential buy all the dlc and cosmetics?" Attracting new customers brings in more money than keeping one that already bought the dlc. A veteran dbd player will probably be experienced a enough to tell when a new chapter will be crap or game changing. So if it's garbage they will be less likely to buy it or recommend it to a friend. I didn't pay anything for deathslinger cause I knew he was going to be a weaker huntress. A new player who is just getting into this game won't have a clue. "What they don't know won't hurt them" and will probably try to get their friends to play the game too. At the end of the day they want to make money(cause it's a business) and they make more from drawing in new customers than keeping their existing ones.

You just made me realise something. If they do keep the veteran players this will motivate them to release more quality content and fun, strong killers. This will bring them money and benefit the game greatly

Yes. That's the only way to balance the game. Buff solos and buff killers.

It would be nice but i doubt it. They might think its too much work and stick to catering to newbies.

I have fun as killer in every solo match I play, doesn't matter the rank. I'm a rank 10 killer and having fun against 3-7.. It's the SWF teams I can't stand. They suck all the fun out of the game, and just make it sweaty, toxic, and unenjoyable to play. Rush, rush, rush paired with coms and sabo, it's almost impossible to win. I'm currently really enjoying predator HG though...

It will never be balanced fully cause its asymmetrical game.

    And also a live game.
