Gen speeds are 90% fine(This coming from a killer main)
Yes you have your bad coordinated SWF and yes you have your poop game but even though losing 2 or 3 gens early on will hurt you pipping but early on is not when a killer shines. When you have 2 gens or 1 gen left that’s when a killer shines, the sacrifices start rolling in and survivors drop like flies, most of my games I get a 3K or 4K when there is 1 or 2 gens left.
Yes you maybe ######### at a killer but once the new MMR eventually has singular killer ratings things will be fine.
You will have the odd bad gen game but overall killers shine when 1 or 2 gens are left, soon pipping ain’t gonna matter
MAP SIZE IS THE REAL KILLER

I agree. Maps need to be smaller, gens more closely together, so a killer can patrol more effectively. It shouldn't take 80 seconds to cross a map once, just to hear a gen or two pop.

TFW when you check the wrong corner of Ormond after you spawn and right after hear 2 gens pop. 😑

Yes, the gens aren’t the problem, map size is

Map size and certain structures in older maps.
DBD maps should be smaller with designs that emphasis stealth, mind-games, and juking. Not as it is right now where survivors extend chases forever through absurd tiles and buildings on most of the old maps. A lot of the killer cast can't handle that. Hence the limited killer diversity in high ranks.

Yea, mothers dwelling is 188 tiles, that is way to many, it should be like 160 at max

I agree with you for the most part, I would respectfully disagree that early game can't be good for killers. It definitely can be and it sets up the mid to late game much easier.
For example I'm a big proponent of trying to get that first down as quickly as possible as I tend to run Thrilling Tremors and Pop goes the weasel on most of my killers. Being able to get that early generator block and direct regression can really stall out the first generator getting completed, which seems to often put survivors into panic mode.
You're certainly right that losing 1-2 generators early isn't the end of the world, but it doesn't mean you can't contest it either.
Either way, good to see another killer main acknowledging the actual problem, and something I think we have a much better shot at fixing as opposed to endless posts suggesting "longer generator completion times" as if that's going to fly.

Has there been some kind of explanation on how MMR will work? Cause I don't see how that will solve anything.

Map size is the problem. And the bandaid fix would be to simply increase gen time.
Ive heard a suggestion from someone that all generators need to be repaired, and in return, killers need to hook each surv 4 times.
God, what an awful idea, but I had to share it

Me neither, I hope they take into accountt the add-ons and perks both survivors and killers bring.

Hi, slugging Oni-chan.

I think it's a bit of both. Map size certainly is an issue but gen speeds can vary depending on the killer being used. Certain killers obviously have powers that help them down people faster while many have to rely on M1. For people like Billy, Spirit, Huntress, Nurse and to a lesser degree Oni. These killers have powers that help them win the chase sooner. Meanwhile you have a lot of killers that could benefit from increase gen times because of how long it takes them to down a survivor.
Making the gens take longer would be great for certain killers but broken for the good ones. That's why I think gen speed should be adjusted to which killer is being used. Personaly id rather have the Entity(an AI) oversee the progress of a match. If one side is doing too well adjust it accordingly so the match isn't a blow out.

What's easier, rework most maps or slap 5-10 seconds on each gen?

They're already added extra time to complete gens before. What I think they need to do is make every completed gen regress the progress of all other gens on the map by half so that you can't pop 3 gens at once.

People play every killer on any rank. Dont lie.
All structures are fine. Learn how to run them. Gen times are fine. 80 seconds to fix one gen is fine considering it only happens when killer dont force survivors to leave gens. Map size is an issue. DS is an issue. Bonus skillcheck is an issue as well.

That's an idea. Would probably create a new prove thyself meta lol.

Maybe they could do something like keep the gen times now but adjust them, early game gens would say take 100/60/54/50 and as each Gen pops, gens for one person drop 5 seconds for one person, 3 seconds for 2 people, 4 seconds for 3 people and 4 seconds for 4 people. It would balance it out and as killers got stronger survivors got a bit stronger and gen t8mes would be reduced very slightly for 2,3,4 people when 1 gen is left

It would be like this 1 surv/2 survs/3 survs/4 survs:
5 gens: 100/60/54/50
4 gens:95/57/50/45
3 gens: 90/54/46/40
2 gens: 85/51/42/35
1 gen: 80/48/38/30 <- slight nerf
These could also be changed by killer, killers like billy, spirit and nurse could keep the same all game while other killers like hag and trapper could recieve something like this ^^

yes. gen speeds are fine now that toolboxes have been nerfed
0 -
Like I said, 90% fine, they are still horrible for low mobility killers
0 -
i think they should just make toolboxes not affect gens at all

That's funny how Ormond is not even biggest map in the game yet it's the most problematic one.
0 -
Yeah, I thinks it’s because mothers dwellings main building isn’t near as abnoxious
0 -
True. Mother's Dwelling house is small and has some mindgamable spots. Ormond's resort is way bigger, has many safe pallets and windows and limits killer's ability to travel freely around the map.
