Why did I come back?
I took a break and played other games and figured with the extra points I should maybe try again. Well I can say once again I am back on a break after only 3 games. lol
First two games I do 4 gens only to get killed on my first hook which I honestly do not mind getting killed because its about the points anyway. It is just depressing when you do 90% of the work and the only one to die.
Final game it is a doctor and so many people are either sick of dealing with him or just don't want to play against them they either hide or just accept death. The killer got 2 killed and not one gen done yet because every survivor decided to hide.
I guess back to playing other games again. =) I know people will be saying good leave then but I am not leaving mad but just taking a break before it does make me to mad again. Good luck in all your games though. =)

Why not play killer, then? That way, you can have the full, toxic experience.

I thought about it but I make the worst killer only because I tend to let people go. I feel bad thinking I am ruining peoples experience or killing to fast. I also have the worst luck. I either get such horrible survivors that it is way to easy or such high rank survivors that I see gens pop and maybe see 2 survivors the whole game. lol
I still might give it a try though. =) Thank you.

I've stayed in Rank 16 and 15 as killer and refuse to move up to Purple and Red Ranks.
I was previously Rank 1 killer for multiple months but I grew tired of the increasing bias.
I'm enjoying BP farming, hide and seek games and the occasional Red Rank survivor that slips into my brown rank games.
I thoroughly enjoy Rank 16 and 15.

Do what I do. For the most part, treat survivors like bots. Makes things much easier for your mentality if you just think of them as AI. Only took me 500 hours to figure that out.

I just play survivor with friends and huntress, tho I dc immediately on garbage maps, crucify me if you must but many maps are god awful
I’m red, they are mix of all colors, makes the game enjoyable when you aren’t facing a pro gaming stridor spirit every other match

Boy you are gonna a field day with how fun and fair playing killer is. :p kek.

I thought I enjoyed it in the lower ranks but the survivors here are almost always the same. They tend to be scared people afraid to do gens or get hit. They also seem to like to take you off the hook while the killer is riding me. lol I should give killer a chance but I am not a great killer only because I tend to kill to fast and then feel bad. lol

Killer is not that difficult. I have to let people go or I seem to always get a 4k game. You are talking to someone who does not think the game is that unbalanced. Yeah some games seem very one sided but other games seem fair. It is very perk dependent and killer related. If the survivors take perks OR IN A GOOD CHUNK OF MY GAMES, no perks the killer gets the easiest game of their lives. The game is not biased one way or the other because each match is different and one match can feel super OP where the next one feels like ######### happened. I guess maybe because I play both sides and have so much game time that I feel like both sides have their strengths and weakness's. Also the whole fact that each match is different. I could understand if every killer only got the same perks every match but because they can change for example I could play one match as nurse and stomp and then the next match get stomped myself. That is the fun in this game. =) It is what keeps me coming back from my breaks.

Your solution to playing an multi-player is to not treat people like people. I bet you're really popular in post-game chat. 🙄

lol I personally can't do this. I like everyone to have a good time. It is why when I play killer I either let one or two people get out. If I play survivor and the killer is not doing well I will sacrifice myself or at least let them hook me, most the time when I try though the killer won't hook me even if I am standing under the hook waving. lol I like everyone to get points and have a non-toxic game.

I'm with you 100%. Whenever survivor gets a little too toxic to deal with, I will go play Killer because I find it more relaxing. I feel like it's me doing my part to try and make sure others catch a break from the toxicity. Sometimes I play no-kill killer and see if I can pip only 2-hooking everyone. Sometimes I just play normal, but am mindful of who I've hooked, who was last off-hooked, not doing the camp/tunnel/slug thing. I don't like ruining people's matches...even if it means they best me and I lose.

I DO THE SAME! I keep track of who I hooked and if I see someone get unhooked I will chase the person who did the rescue. I refuse to tunnel just because it is easier and people think gen times are to fast. I refuse to ruin someone else's fun and camp and hook just to get a 4k game. It is not about slaughtering and ruining peoples fun. It is about getting points and just having fun without taking the game to serious. I also agree and feel like it is up to me to try and show people that it is possible to be a killer and a survivor without being toxic.
I have had games where I will run along side of survivors. The only time it has bothered me is when the survivor t-bags and acts like the outplayed you. IT is like HELLLLLO I was right next to you the whole time and could have got you at anytime. I did have one game as plaque where I was gonna let a person go but they kept t-bagging and just being rude. I was like hhmmm how to get them out of the exit gate. I kept throwing up on them making them think that was all I was gonna do. Well once they were broke I threw up one more time so all they seen was my vomit and not me coming for them. I smacked them and hooked them. I hope they learned a lesson. lol

Do you not kill anyone? How do you avoid pipping?

I play fair, and I'm 'really popular' in post game chat as it is. It doesn't matter what the killer does, there's always going to be somebody crying over some rule I broke from the survivor handbook. I once gave a survivor the hatch once, and was bm'ed for using Spirit. Yes, this is a multiplayer game, but as it stands, it's also a me vs them scenario.
The game, at least from killer side, is a time crunch. I don't have time to 'play nice.' I will tunnel, slug, and proxy camp if viable. If I want to win, of course. If I notice matchmaking has me against green ranks, I can slow things down and play at a fairer level, but that's rarely the case. If I want to win, I need to play dirty. Maybe if I were some god level player, that wouldn't be the case, but I'm not. I will be teabagged at loops. I will have OoO users ruin my Trapper play. I will have clicky clicky following me around, then vault spam when I don't give them attention. I will have a constant stream of 'ggez git gud' if I mess up. So, to keep myself from becoming incredibly toxic, I will treat survivors as if they're bots. Instead of me vs four other toxic people, it's me vs a computer with a dickish AI. Easier to handle that, mentally.

I imagine they just hook a few people without ever fully killing them and they do not win many chases but they do just enough to get the first non-derank pip. =)

An addict rarely knows why they're so susceptible to relapse, they're content to merely ask why and administer the fix in spite of it.
- Sunk cost fallacy.
- Addictive gameplay loop.
Those are likely your reasons.

I came back both out of boredom and to collect some points but then learned the added extra points do not help unless playing killer because as a survivor I get killed to quick or camped on first hook.
I personally do not care that I paid for the game and the gameplay is slightly addictive I guess but I am known to play 2 or 3 rounds and then not play for a week or two. You may be right though. =)

Get Max Deviousness.
Max Hunting.
Max Brutality.
Safety Pip. No hooks.

I would offer a napkin if I could.

Maybe in red ranks this is true for Killer. I dont know. I dont have a red rank killer, but it sounds like it's nothing but bully swf groups. Not my experience as a solo, but who am I to judge. However, you never have to play dirty. Thats a personal choice. And it is your choice to make. I play fair killer 100% of the time and I dont have any problem attaining pts, kills, or pips. It does get progressively more difficult the higher you get. And sometimes, I get curb stomped by a good swf team. Thats life. It doesnt change my play style. I take my loss and move on to the next team and play fair. You can play in such a way that you dont treat others like human beings also trying to enjoy themselves, but dont blame the game. Own it. Its your choice to play like a dick.

A napkin for what? lol

I don't blame ya. When Resident Evil 3 (Single AND Multiplayer) and Predator: Hunting Grounds releases, I'm staying off DBD for a good long time.
I've not had a single person be toxic in Predator, and it really rubs off on me. I play INCREDIBLY nicer and more fair on Predator than DBD, simply because I'm certain that my opponent isn't some D-bag who wants to be a cocky punk (like PS4 DBD is in a nutshell).

Well, good luck, thanks for recognizing this game is starting to get to your nerves before its too late.

I will say the fact these games are PvP to enjoy them while you can. Any game that is PvP will sooner or later become toxic. It is not so much the game but the fact people can be brave and tough because it is over a computer screen. I mean everyone is brave online but if we were forced to play these games in the same room I would almost bet on the fact people would not be toxic out of fear of REAL punishments. I am happy these games are doing well so far but it is only a matter of time before people are saying the predator is OP or the new RE multiplayer game coming out is more fair on one side over the other. It is human nature to complain sadly and find someone to blame other than ourselves if we suck at a game or something.
I have found solace in Animal Crossing. I have never ever played this game until now and now know why people loved it. It is cute and oddly relaxing. I do hope whatever you play stays nice and you can enjoy as well. =)

Thanks! Yeah I figure take a break before I end up becoming one of these people who turn toxic and just hate the game. I found Animal Crossing for the first time ever and now am addicted! lol I cannot put it down and always wondered why people loved it. I just like how relaxing it is and things go at my pace. The animal creatures are cute as well. Thanks again for your nice response.
TO MY ISLAND! lol

I'm very much like you and you just can't let it bug you if you go easier and then they BM. That's how they are. Otherwise, as long as you have fun, who cares? :P

Ok cya later

You make a point. =)

Thanks for being that one person that instead of just ignoring the post you proved my point. I knew at least one person would say this and I unlike many other rage quitters are not quitting because I am mad but I found other games like Animal Crossing that I enjoy. I am smart enough to take a break before I end up hating the game and still think it's a good game and that I just had bad luck. =)
I hope to SEE YOU later too. =) Please also get a cure for the toxic attitude or don't lol I actually don't mind it. =)

why should he have to?

You are very cute. But you also prove that many who quit DbD can't quit without making a thread like this ,and then argue with everyone who doesn't hug them or something. It's hilarious.
Oh and if you find that cure then please let me know. Apparently I really need it, I hurt a lot of snowflakes.
Enjoy crossing your animals little boy.

I am not asking for a hug but showing others who come here screaming they are quitting "for good" that it is possible and smart to just take a break. I am also showing people it is possible to take a break without crying SOMETHING IS OP! I just decided to take a break and figured these forums are here might as well say see you soon.
Also I am not arguing with you because you did not "hug me" but because you decided to waste your time being a toxic and post the typical "good get out of here" response instead of taking the high road and just passing over this forum. I also see you enjoying name calling which to me kind of proves my point about the toxic attitude. Keep up the toxic attitude that I love so much. It gives me something to read and laugh about as you care enough to respond. =) Little Boy OUT! LOL
Also I have to ask when you posted this, "IF KILLERS GET NERFED AGAIN, ME AND A BUNCH OF OTHER KILLERS ARE PROBABLY GONNA QUIT", were you not looking for hugs yourself? Seems a bit hypocritical to be mad about someone posting what you call yet another I am mad so hug me post, but you can post a yet again killer is to weak and survivor is to OP post someone hug me and make me feel better post. The game would not die without you because others will take the roll of the killer sooooo SEE YA!.....LITTLE BOY OUT! lol
