Gen speed.
So when is this issue going to be addressed? Cause even survivor mains I play with think it is stupid, most of the entire dbd community thinks current gen speed combined with map size is just dumb.

In my opinion, devs wanna make chases a bit shorter for survivors and make them weaker. Instead winning chases they wanna make survivors do their objective(doing gen). If they are in a chase, devs want killers to finish chases a bit earlier. I think they moslty want survivors to do gens and be passive as much as they can against to killers. The only thing they can neither doing gens or being caught by killer after a while. So they nerfed ruin. But not only ruin, also they nerfed survivor perks and buffed some killers.

as a survivor main... I agree because your teammates can pop 3 gens while you're hooked and you won't even pip...

Yeah, one of my friends stopped playing entirely because, in their words "Survivor is too easy and I get bored. The gens pop way too fast and I'm waiting 15 minuets or more for a very short match. Killer is too frustrating because I don't feel like I can do anything unless the survivors are all just bad. So I'm just gonna stop playing."

It's pretty ridiculous in higher levels of play. Absolutely nothing you can do with a lot of killers if survivors split up and focus on cranking out gens. I win if they mistakes.

Ironically though is what killers dont think about is if gens speed gets nerfed certain killer perks would have to be nerfed as well. Because if gen speeds get nerfed which om ok with. Thanatopia, dying light, bloody butcher, pop would have to receive either nerfs or just cant synergize as well cause then it would be just endless games of gen regression pops and just slow speeds

I don't know where in my post I even remotely suggested they were talking about solo. I even said it was one of my friends, if you were going to assume anything, which you shouldn't, you should have assumed duo at the least.
Either way gens go too fast for the map design we have.

The big problem is that some maps are just too big for killers to apply pressure. BUT for how long it will take for the devs to rework te maps it is just better to slow down the gens or give survivors another objective. Like who knows how long it will take before the problem maps are getting reworked, since we also still getting DLC. Maybe 2 years or 3 years from now? And because we get still DLC, some problems maps can just be added with the DLC.
The easiest way is to reduce the gen speed and when the maps are reworked remove the gen speed nerf.

Gen speeds are fine. There is no issue. Its killer main made up.

When I can see top killer streamers get 4K after 4K at Rank 1, it tells me most people are just bad at killer.
If there is an issue, it’s take a coordinated SWF should never lose no matter what. And that seems broken.

Solo survivor is easy.
You can get randomly ######### teammates but it's up to you if you get a lot of points or not.
Of course I'm not counting in random games where killer just camps me to death or survivors give up/dc very early on but they are huge minority.

if that happens, they're just making this game a mindless hook simulator. when that happens, they ruin the game because chases are the most fun part about this game. especially as survivor, repairing generators is not fun. if that happens i'm out even with all the money and time i've spent on this game but im not playing a damn hook simulator/dying simulator.

It is easy. It's how the game was MEANT to be played. Minimal communication, and trust that everyone is gonna help each other out.
What planet are you from where solo isn't easy? If you need to play SWF to win, you're missing out on some fundamental skills of being a good player.

To be honest sometimes it’s easy, especially coming from a solo survivor but in all honesty it is hard to cause there are some survivors or swf that just leave you on hook till you die which is the part I suffer with a lot but usually for me solo can be easy it can just depend on killer, map, and 100% survivors, cause all the ones I play with die. literally like when I’m doing a gen all of them are stupid and all 3 get downed. Which can be hard at sometimes cause all most potato survivors do is urban evade, explode gens or just die and kill them selves on hook, so I’m gonna say solo is kinda difficult and easy at the same time. But mainly for me it’s just killer and the map that enhances my gameplay cause if I’m with potato survivors I die easily

There is nothing wrong with gen speed. 80 seconds is slow enough.

You cant compare the average player base with streamer they play a lot more then the average do and most of them do a lot of money out of it so they dont need to work and if they do they are not working full time

80 sec when you are alone on a gen but if you get 4 survivor spawning in different area close to a gen and they all start working on the respective gen and the kill find 1 survivor after 20 seconde and start chasing him for 30 seconde right now you have 3 gen with only 30 second before they are done and it take more or less 10 seconde before you put the survivor on hook by the time you find one of the remaining 3 survivor 3 gen can be done in a mere 80 sec this example is whitout any perk. The biggest issue are the map in my opinion smaller map could be fine but i dont think they will rework all the map they have done it will be too expansive so fixing gen speed is easier and less expansive

stupid as in it’s too fast? It’s not fast. Equip dying light, thanat and ruin and then come back and tell me it’s too fast. Coulraphobia works as long as you can keep them all injured. Map size isn’t even that big on some of the maps. Rather I feel it’s actually quite small with gens being so close to the center or all tightly knit together. They need to be spread out imo. Otherwise killer can camp gens.

Also keep in mind WHEN its 80 seconds to complete gen. Only when survivors are constantly sitting on gens so that way then if killer just force survivors to release M1 gens are going to take longer to fix. The longer survivors sitting on gens the greater gen speed they gain.

80 seconds is fine. It shouldn't take a Killer 30 seconds to traverse the map though.

they don't know how to play killer so they complain and ask for nerfs to make their life easier instead of adapting and learning how this game works. no matter how you try to tell them the facts, they don't care because they want to have everything handed on a plate without having to do anything. sad but true

I mean if a constant amount of killer's has to use three slowdown perks to slow gens down. then the gen speed is a problem. But I mean I stated before if they did nerf gen speeds then those perks would have to be nerfed in some way. Most likely by not being able to stack the effects together. Cause then killers could just slow it down to much. But if they make the larger maps smaller then im ok with that instead of gen speed nerfs.

Gen Speeds are fine.
If you personally are having issues with it, then you might want to re-think your build and start bringing slow down perks. There is a variety of them, in fact on certain killers stacking them becomes rather dull because you find yourself holding M1 for longer than you should. Slowing gens down at base would just make the survivor experience boring and too OP for certain killers.

Gen speeds are fine. Its map size that is the problem. It's like 80 seconds to complete a genny. That combined with regression and other killer perks can prolong it even further.
The problem being how far some of them are spaced not how long they take to complete.
Also losing two gens early is not the end of the game. Often end up 4kIng with 3 gennys left

Dont mind me, just a local survivor main here, but i believe gen speeds are way too fast! My lobby times are as long as my matches. Three gens pop before I ever see the killer sometimes because everyone is on their own gen while he chases the fourth in the beginning of the game. With how big maps are, and with low mobility killers, the gens are highly unbalanced. Have a great day everyone! :)

I think it is. So I am not having fun as much as I had before playing as survivor. The beautifull parts of the game is chases and mind-games in my opinion. Not doing gens, not gen rush, not immediate hooks.

Gen speeds are for sure a problem.
devs need to first fix matchmaking so good survivors are paired up with other good survivors. That way we we can find out how balanced the game actually is.
The bad matchmaking is whats making the state of the game unclear.
