Pig reverse bear trap is a really fun mechanic!

I absolutely love when I don't have time to loop the entire map and it's the last trap box to disarm it :) almost guaranteeing that it's an automatic free kill for the pig! fantastically fun game mechanic i'm so glad it's in the game.

It's even more entertaining when you've been disconnected from the first 2 or 3 games with the new persistent error after waiting on the load screen for 2 or 3 minutes and then a 10+ minute wait for a match that actually works!

Also! especially when it's my turn to play the pig and survivors get it off first attempt. The variation % of the trap release is so exciting and adds some much needed skill to the game.

I got downed, went round every machine without detour and didn't have time to get to the last machine because they were so spaced out so I died with 0 chance of being able to survive. I'm simply saying its a fantastic ability and adds brilliant depth to the game!

on the flip side I put a trap onto a survivor and they removed it on the first machine, amazing skill and tactics!

what a fantastically balanced ability, i wish more killers abilities were like this.

    I feel you here ngl.

I've had a game where the last machine I had to check was on a strong loop, but the killer was chasing someone and couldn't get it due to that.

Sure I've even had matches where I was playing on a huge map where I couldn't get it off just because to much space.

Although I can't feel exactly the same for you with your pig traps being taken off nearly instantly, this reminds me of a game I had with Trapper. I was bringing a guy to the basement and cought the last two people right outside the shack. In the end they both got out first time, ran to the hatch and one guy had a key.

yeah it does actually add a lot to the game it’s a great way to control game speed. And yes the rng can be annoying but it definitely balances out to two boxes per trap. Honestly I’m sick of people complaining about how fast traps come off a lot of times I find what I think of as the 1st box is really the third there’s just a lot goes on that a killer never sees, also if you don’t want them getting the traps off fast you’re aloud to pressure people with traps sometimes it’s more effective to get someone with a trap to help build momentum and if you move them around it makes it harder for them to track their box.

Sounds like you got unlucky with a large map and Tampered Timer and/or Gears. Which also sucks for the Pig, since they got a large map.

You can also tone down on the sarcasm just a little bit.

As someone with extensive Pig knowledge, her RBT's aren't THAT lethal. A lot of survivors, especially in the lower ranks, refuse to work on generators so the test subject has a chance to get their trap off. And the only times you get kills are if you set up your entire build for it, verse a Rank 19 who doesn't know her power, or have a box in the middle of a 3-gen patrol route. Or your case of sheer bad luck.

Maybe you should be looking at the idiot teammates that I'm gonna assume did a generator while you were either being carried or on the hook.

"almost guaranteeing that it's an automatic free kill for the pig"

no, just rng, which is basically why pig is a bad killer, she's rng dependant.

also, it might be off meta since 2019, but you can still 99 gens against her

You don't play Pig for the RNG element. You play her for the stealth and for her amazing stall potential.

So what you're saying is gigantic maps are a detriment to survivors?

Well in that case I'm sure you'll join with all killers everywhere in petitioning for smaller maps, I'm a killer main and I sponsored this message.

ah yes, rng based stall potential, a weaker dash than demo shred and a weaker stealth than Ghostface...

It still forces people off generators, it can be turned unlike Shred and crouching leads jnto her dash. You also can't be taken out of it by survivors.

I actually got 2 RBT kills in a Rank 1 match 2 days ago. Was just running +1 Box and +1 Trap addons too instead of Tampered Timer/Gears. Was fun, good stuff.

has much less viability in chases than shred since you have to crouch, can't cover well shack or L T walls unlike demo and to avoid the dash you can just leave the loop, so her chase potential is weak to inexistent.

it might force people off gens, but it's rng so inconsistent.

Ghostface's stealth is far better, stealth on command, grants instadown, you're not slowed by it.

Dash is better as a first hit, rather than a chase ender.

It's still time off generators, and there is the psychological element to it. Having that trap on your head can be stressful, especially with the stereotypes of the tunnellers or a literal death clock ticking.

GF does have faster stealth, and an instant down, but there are minute audio queues and instant downs do actually hurt players in the long run by having less Chaser emblems. Him being faster in crouch is an issue that a lot of Pig players, myself included, do bring up quite a bit. It's one of my QoL changes that would help boost Pig up quote a bit.

You're lucky you get to even attempt to take them off. Pigs I go against tend to think that putting a helmet on somebody means they have to tunnel them. And by them I mean me.

Its awful. If you get unlucky with the rng then you spend all game running from corner to corner to corner checking all the boxes, missing out in the unhooks, heals, and by the time you get the trap off a number of gens are done too. It basically makes you miss out on the game.

Getting it off first try just leaves the killer feeling cheated.

the important is ending chases, legion has probably the easiest first hit in game, but who cares?

fine we understood you judge killers based on chances, also "psychological element to it. Having that trap on your head can be stressful", it's probably judged over less experienced players who find this game scary...

are we really considering worth emblems?

  • PigMainClaudette

Legion has issues with following through with their attacks because of their stun animations. Pig has an alternate weapon cleaning animation and can continue a chase as normal.

Ironically enough I prefer consistent things. As a veteran Warhammer 40k player, random chance is the bane if my existence. This is why I always suggest buffing every other element of Pig, as in not touching the RBT.

And emblems mean rank, which is important for some people. Hillbilly players are somewhat notorious for this type of complaint.

Ah yes, Pig, the famously overpowered killer.

    this is the issue,

people bitching that shes a strong killer or weak killer, it's got nothing to do with that its the fact that it is a video game and the mechanic is not fun for the person who gets stuck with this ... you wait 10+ mins for a game or you get disconnected 2 or 3 times after the load time then you get stuck running corner to corner making no points it is 0 fun.
