Leatherface's Blackface Should Not Be In The Game

So? How does somebody picking a black cosmetic affect you? Does it stop you from playing? From interacting? From living? Does it harm you in any way that matters? No? Then why do you care?

It's NOT Blackface, he's WEARING the face of the victim, he's not PAINTING the face on.
It's NOT Blackface, stop trying to twist the narrative to fit your agenda. He's not PAINTING the face on, get what the difference is?
He kills, tears, and sews the face on himself. It's NOT Blackface.
Murderers and psychopaths don't see color, Jeffery Dahmer killed, sodomized blacks, mexicans, and whites.
This isn't about race, YOU'RE making it about race, most of us don't even see it as Black Face we see it as "Oh, he must have killed a lot of Claudettes" and then move on with the match.
Stop making it about race to fit your narrative, most blacks I have friended and play SWF on PS4 don't care, what makes YOU so special?

The difference is that a skin has nothing to do with the balance of the game. So this is not comparable at all.

Your anger is from outside of the game.
You saw ONE thing you didn't like about the game and you brought your external argument here.
No one cares, move on. YOU think it's racist, but it isn't.
YOU think it's Blackface, when it's not. Stop being pissed at everything.

Those are examples, but we were talking about your statement saying that only white people would complain about something 'racist' like this.
For me, personally, I think it's a good idea that they included Claudette's face into the cannibal's cosmetic items because it insinuates that the developers are A. not racist and B. aware that black and white people are equal as well as many other races.

What did I just read? This is as close as it gets to people complaining that somebody who plays clown is insulting acrobats or people not being able to play against Amanda, because they dont eat pork.

Except you're literally the only person I've ever seen in this forum to make such a claim. So, it makes 'you' feel uncomfortable, for whatever reason. I don't know why you let it get to you, which is where my confusion comes from. Should I feel offended about Doctor going around killing Dwights?

Regardless of their experiences, the point is both races are equal and the developers reinforced that idea by implementing Claudette's facial skin for one of his cosmetics as well as implementing Jake's skin (who is Asian btw) and Dwight and Meg's skin who are both white.

It's not blackface, it's literally someone wearing skin, it isn't someone putting on makeup to alter their own skin tone, it's literally a black persons face cut off and put on someones face.

Yeah since i don't think treating everyone the same in this case a killer murdering everyone and wearing their skin, is racist. Rather it sounds like equally. Since everyone is being treated the same, in this case rather poorly by a insane murderer. So if everyone is being treated the same, where is the racism? What the op seems to be taking issue with is equally by trying to drag the devs into this, rather than just focusing purely on the one bad player they seem to have run across.
That and the op seems to be able to mind read, what the intent of a player who was trolling was. In an online game, where no one knows what you look like, unless you are a youtuber who did a face reveal or something. That and you hear lots of tales about people trolling and acting badly or toxic as some might say, that have nothing to do with leatherface. Seems the op just when dat racist, since without any proof, since you figure they would take a screenshot if what the killer player said after the game was so offensive. Than they could of proved to us what this one player did. Since last i looked, ps4 and pc platforms [unsure about xbox] have the ability to easily take screenshots.

Ok snowflake please delete a game and move on... Why white face don't bother you on the trapper? Why white skin color don't bother you on the legion? Huh why? Just so you know i will report you and your post for false concerns about racisim while you being that in this post. Gl and HF

I would consider not having it to be the more racist option. I think it's nice that leatherface doesn't judge by colour, he will wear your face regardless of your race.

As a black person, I don't consider this to be blackface, because of the reasons already mentioned, Leatherface sometimes wear the mask of his victims. There are plenty of other things that you can say that can be racist, insensitive and uncomfortable towards blacks, this isn't one of them. Sorry dude, but you're reaching here.

I agree with you about people using this particular cosmetic to be racist and toxic, but unfortunately your arguments are gonna fall on deaf ears here. This forum is super toxic and a lot of people will respond to any potential criticism of the game, whatever kind is it, with “shut up and go away”, as a lot of these replies prove. Don’t waste too much of your mental energy trying to convince people because they don’t want to listen to what you’re saying.

Excluding something or someone because of the color of their skin is racist. It is called segregation. Hence if they didn't add it for that reason they could be called racist good intentions or not. You are upset that a Killer that eats people, skins them and wears them like a mask is bad only cause he wears a black person's skin is just ridiculous. I get where you are coming from. But my God this is not some random a-whole doing it to be prejudice or insulting. It a insane person that eats people and skins them and wears them like a mask.

No, he wore White faces.
But I guess THAT'S okay with you right?
You kind of know where I'm getting at here right?
You're being a bigot.

I have to remember you people exist. You're more offended over someone being toxic while wearing the cosmetic than you are of the actual cosmetic. It's almost the most easily recognizable cosmetic out of the 4 main casts faces.
You've stated, 'As a black person, this does not sit well with me at all. It feels like a mockery. And I know there will be black people replying in the comments "I'm black and don't care." That's cool. But many black people do and I know I'm not the only one who does.'
Now you're the first person I've ever seen complain about this cosmetic that Bubba wears. But we'll just assume that there are other people who are also offended by the cosmetic. Even if that's true, the majority does not find it offensive. Disregarding their opinions just because of how you feel is just as bad as if they disregarded yours. People can be offended by anything and that's okay. But demanding a change it when a majority of people who don't see anything wrong with it is not okay. There would be a lot less in the world if everything was suddenly changed because of 1 person's opinion.

I understand why your upset, but at the same time I don't think you understand what "Blackface" is.

Sounds like you don't understand what blackface is.

Having a problem or issue with something yeah you should be able to advocate for it. But when you are advocating something that has bo real basis is a issue. Considering you are claiming this to be racist with no real evidence. Yes blackface was used to insult people of color. But a serial killer that wore the skin of his victims this is not mean anyway the slightest as a insult to a particular group of color. Just a deranged killer who just wears his victims skin.

Grow a pair , snowflake

Also, your use of the term 'blackface' is incorrect. Based on the historical use of blackface and it's actual meaning, Bubba does none of those things. Blackface was worn by entertainers to depict enslaved Africans to depict them in a derogatory manner whether it was to be lazy, ignorant, or cowardly for comedic effect. He's a cannibalistic killer who wear's his victims skins. You going to call him sexist too if he only ate men or only ate women?
Honestly, I'm pretty sure this is just bait.

I'm talking about the majority of players, not the basis of their skin. How do you know that the majority of people that play this game are white? You've also ignored all my points and chose to cherry pick 'majority' , turning it around to make it into a race thing. It seems you're definitely baiting now and have some racist undertone. So please calm down.

"Most of the people in this thread more than likely have racist parents or are racist themselves but don't even know it (not individually accusing anyone here...)"
So now you are insulting people here and their parents by calling them racists. Reported.

Why not? Doc is black. If a black person plays Doc, and kills the white characters, than by your logic, there must be some kind of racist intent, intended or not.
Or, you can accept this is a game, cosmetics, and their usage, have no racial bias, and go from there.
4 -
You do not advocare/open discussion at all, you are playing on the racist card full aware of the history of the black people in the western society. And by doing this trying to make a problem and promote ill surrounding where there should not be one.
Every character is included in the leatherface skin and cz your feelings that is irational you trying to pull racist card in hope to get the game changed and spark more fighting where there were no need for it at all.
By weponazing racism for you own benefits, you not only spit at the ones who died cz of their skin collor you also telling with your post that black people can't be racist while other races can an top of that even if you are black your post is racist as much as the ones coming straight and saying (insulting) word for color. The only difference is that you used demagogue and hoped that at first read people don't see the true meaning behind it.

Seriously??? Just get over it! SMH...

Do you not understand what segregation means or was that taught at your school? If they remove something because of the color of skin is racist good intentions or not. So by actuality removing her face because she is black is indeed racist. Doesn't matter how you want to put it but yes its racist by definition. But I mean this whole discussion is on deaf ears. Just understand that context is what matters and in this case leatherface wearing claudette skin is not about race or prejudice but a killer who just kills and skins his victims be it white or black.

Honestly, i wish i knew where he got these powers from to just randomly seem to know everything about a player base in a online game. Where you know jack about what a person looks like and don't even know what they sound like. Unless you are watching a youtube of course or playing with friends while using discord.
Yeah the op seems to have powers greater than professor x to seem to know about all of these things. Like i don't even get their logic. Like how can someone be racist without knowing it? Since you think it would be easy to know if someone is racist or not, due to treating someone differently purely base on their race. The op logic makes no sense. They just seem so eager to push the racism card, they don't care about it making any sort of logical sense.

You need to chill, you are actually being really racist now.
Enough trolling, enough baiting, enough with the snide comments or you'll be reported. It's one thing to have a genuine discussion on something. But it's another to be racist and rude to people on the forum who are bringing their counter argument forward in this "discussion" (not the ones who are just saying get over snowflake).

@MandyTalk could we maybe close this thread? It's creating quite a bit of hostility among members :/

I'm done trying to get you to understand just basic logic. Context is what matters and the utter refusal to see that this has nothing to do with race but just the lore of a movie killer that wears his victims skin as a mask.
