Should I buy legion or oni? And I wouldn’t mind some thoughts on why
So I have around 500 hours on the game and I’m missing 2 killers and finally started to get around to buying one with shards, I’m an Xbox player and I would’ve instantly bought oni but I’m thinking what if the next rift has some focus on legion, any thoughts and tips would be helpful!😁

If the leaks are true, legion is getting their Archives soon, so it might be worth getting them now.
In any other instance, I would say Oni. People say he's a worse Hillbilly, but he has some significant advantages. He has some of the best tracking ability in the game, his Demon form doesn't stop at obstacles like the chainsaw does, You can do a simple lunge and have an instant down rather than need to charge it up all the way, you can hit multiple people, and he just looks so much cooler. Admittedly, needing to hit people to charge his power up, having it for a limited time, and being loud enough to hear a mile away does even all of that out.

I mean if you care for the rift a lot I would probably wait until it is revealed which killers the third tome focuses on.
But in general, I would definitely say Oni. He is very powerful, and even with current gen times, actually viable in my opinion. And I personally find him to be very fun to use.
Legion has Discordance as a teachable perk though, which is far better than any of Oni's teachable perks in my opinion.

Thank you for the comment, the only reason I’m not 100% sold on oni is my own ability to do good with the analog sticks, I barely even see him at red ranks on console but if I were to practice It would be a better pick than legion.

I already picked up discordance from the shrine a few months back, I basically have every viable killer perk except nurses teachables so thank you for the feedback I’m starting to lead more towards oni just from the last 2 comments.

I'm interested in Oni as well. But, why is he rarely ever brought up when people speak of high mobility killers? You constantly hear of Billy, Nurse, and Spirit, but Oni seems like he has great mobility too. Am I missing something?

While having a high mobility in his Demon Form, he is super loud and easy to see across the map because he's really tall and glowing red. You really have to plan your angle of attack before charging at the Survivors. That would be my guess on why he isn't brought up.

I'm playing a lot of Oni and like many people already said he's easily the stronger killer.
BBQ,Monitor & Abuse,Infectious Fright + another Perk is what i can recommend to you. With that setup you have serious snowball potential.
His ability isn't hard to use with a controller. It takes some time to get used to his ability and what you can do with it but it's extremely worth it and satisfying once you mastered it.
Legion on the other side has pretty much nothing going for him.His power is way easier to use than Onis but in comparison to other abilities it's really weak. And picking him because there might be like 4 or 5 Archive Challenges with him in the next tome that probably will come out at the end of april doesn't seem worth as well.

As a Rank 3 Killer who plays Legion as one of my signature Killers, I'd definitely recommend them.
Legion doesn't play like the other Killers much at all. They're high mobility and focused on chaining hits and tracking Survivors. Ideally, with Legion you'll be like a mosquito that never goes away and is constantly annoying the Survivors. Legion's biggest thing is keeping people injured and coming back to find people who haven't healed and are quicker downs.
Their best perks by far are Discordance and Monitor. Discordance to find groups of people to chain hits. And Monitor so you get to generators with less time for Survivors to spread out because of the 24m Terror Radius. Also, once you hit the first Survivor you're in a chase so your Killer instinct tracking lets you see all Survivors within 40m, which is also amazing for map awareness. When played right, Legion has better tracking than Doctor and most Survivors aren't even aware you know where they are.
Legion is one of the harder Killers in the game so don't expect to be perfect right away. Frenzy removes all scratch marks from Survivors so you have to keep a close eye on your target to get the first hit (killer instinct will help you find the rest though). Also, Frenzy relies on landing the first hit so you have to be super accurate since Frenzy doesn't have a lunge, the power has a higher sensitivity because of the increased movement speed and a lot of Survivors will try to 360 you out of your power.

I really have more fun with Oni but my advise would be to wait for the Archives and choose it according it

I would advice getting legion, because he's a fun killer, a BP monster and he got "Discordance". Oni is the stronger killer, but his perks are not that good and his optimal playstyle is slugging, i don't like that.
Additionally legion is in the next archives (maybe).

Oh you're on console? I mean. You could TRY and do well with Oni, but... good luck. As much as I love Oni, he's a PC guy. Get Legion for the archives instead 0_0

An experienced Oni can definitely be far more lethal than an experienced Legion but they share one similarity.
- Oni is a normal M1 Killer until he gets his power and a normal M1 Killer while his power needs to be charged, therefore he will have a hard time against good loopers in order to charge up his power.
- Legion can injure Survivors very easy but in order to down them he becomes a normal M1 Killer.
In the end, Oni's power is far more dangerous, he gets mobility, has insta down, almost no penalty when missing.
- Legion moves to slow to call it map pressure while using his power.
- 130 % isn't fast enough to traverse the map good enough.
- His power is a good tracking tool and can also stall Survivors from doing gens BUT if you even dare to miss one attack while in Frenzy, get stunned for 4 seconds and go trough a 20 second power cooldown.
The one positive is, Legion gets his power no matter what. Theoretically you could deny Oni of his power all game but practically you will get hit at some point, you can't outrun the Killer for a full match and if you could it's the Killers fault for still chasing you.
But Oni is definitely better, stronger and more fun. Still a M1 Killer for an extend.

Thank you, I looks like most people are saying oni so I think maybe ill buy him with shards and when the next tome comes out i might just buy legion with cells.

Oni is must stronger than Legion, so you should get him.
Plus, Nemesis is very good in combo with Play With Your Food on instant down killers.
