Surveillance vs Discordance

Discordance: Any time two or more Survivors are working on the same Generator, that Generator's Aura is highlighted in yellow for 8/10/12 seconds.

Surveillance: All regressing Generators will be highlighted by a white Aura. Once regression ends, Generators will be highlighted by a yellow Aura for 8/12/16 seconds. Noises created by Generator Repairs are audible at an additional 8 metres.

Which perk, in your opinion, is the stronger/better perk? It could be due to skill or just personal preference.

    Discordance is better. For Surveillance you either need Ruin, or kick the Gen at one point. For Discordance you dont need any more Setup.

    They are both good. There s no stronger or better. And no survivors cant counter discoordance. If they dont try to complete gens together they already doing favour to killer when it comes to 3 gens.

    Short Answer: They both have uses in different circumstances and context.

    Long Answer: Discordance is much more of an early game detection perk while surveillance's use usually builds up during the course of a game.

    Discordance is stronger in the early game as grouping up on generators is a very standard practice at the start of the game since survivors tend to spawn close together and usually close to a generator. It saves a killer a lot of wasted time. It does have continual use during the game assuming survivors group up and do generators together, but if the survivors realize the killer is running discordance then they likely will just split up and now the perk is useless.

    Surveillance on the other hand can combine with certain perks incredibly well. Surveillance seems to go very well with the new Hex: Ruin as once a generator starts regressing it's highlighted, so if you chase survivors off generators you can see the minute they get back on them, allowing you to counter them by pressuring the generators they want to work on. However on it's own it requires a lot of generator kicking which if you don't have a perk to boost your regression is a lot of wasted time.

    Overall I would say Discordance works better as it's own package while Surveillance works better if combined with Hex: Ruin or another regression perk that encourages lots of kicking.

    Surveillance. Discordance is very overrated and easily counterable.

    So i said both because i use both perks equally. One simply can not beat the other. But as of late i use discoordance more often.

    I'd use Surveillance only with Ruin. Discordance is overall better, both for the early game and for when they panic when you're snowballing mid-game and they try to double up on gens.

    I'm assuming by "counter-able" you mean everyone splits up.. which in turn slows down gen speed.. sounds like it's working.

    and that's after the fact you figure out the hard way that discordance is being used.. which alot of games people don't catch on

    Discordance is top 6 perk

    LOL Splitting up is the optimal way to play and Discordance encourages it. Survivors splitting up makes applying pressure very difficult and 1 decent chase will result in 3 gens popping if survivors stay on different gens and not on the same one.

    And from when have survivors difficulty in catching on Discordance ? In my experience, most of the time it activates only 1 time ( sometimes never ) and then never again.
