please survivors, for tomorrow's ptb, do not use prove thyself
it is the time to test the new gen speed/slows, using prove thyself will not help us all to see how good the changes are, don't use it for the ptb, use it once it's live, but let us all test how it feels without speed boost.

Prove Thyself is not really a Speedboost. And honestly, using it with 3 or 4 people on a Gen still provides some Data.

So don't use a perk that was changed while on the ptb which is literally where you can test ######### that is changed.
20 -
And what about the survivors who wish to test how perks and this new change will work together in the PTB?
Lets face it, with these new changes stufflike prove thyself may well become more meta. Not having it in the PTB isn't going to give you accurate data for later games.
I'm a console scrub so I can't enter the PTB, but if you want an accurate test of how gen times will now effect you, you have to account for the extra's that are bound to be used in order to adapt, such as prove thyself.
1 -
the perk is literally the same as now, so it makes 0 differences
2 -
Yes it was changed, however it was changed to still do the same thing - negate the speed penalty of working together.
Not using it would be the best to get the data of how slow/fast the generators can now be completed. Although some people using Prove Thyself wouldn't hurt either.
3 -
So why would using it in PTB be an issue?
I'm not spoiling for an argument here but I don't get the logic. Either Prove thyself makes 0 difference therefore it won't impact your testing, or it does make a difference, hence your request, which means survivors are going to want to test how it affects the new changes.
Isn't that what PTB is for?

using it will simply make the gens go the same speed as usual, so there's no testing there, not using it will make survivors test the speed decrease, so if you'd use prove thyself, you pretty much play as usual in the live, so not using it makes you really test the changes
1 -
So there are a lot of changes, but you're asking the survivors to tests just the ones that are ok for killers...
Then survivors would also ask you not to use breakable walls because those end chases faster and ptb is made to enjoy ans test other stuff. Smh

i bet you were the kind of guy who used calm spirit when you tried the doctor changes

But why do you want to test gen speeds without additional perks affecting it, when we know that survivors are gong to adapt to this new change by using perks. Yes you can see how the changes work without the buffs. But when it goes live, survivors will already be adapting and using perks to push gens in their favour. The meta changes every time an update effects their normal game play, and those are the games that are going to matter.
So if nobody used anything to speed up gen times, and I'm pretty sure there is more than just prove thyself, you would have your data. But now you're in an actual game and things are different because people are using perk combos and items that they weren't in the PTB, rendering most of that data inaccurate.
Again, I'm not picking a fight or anything here, but if you truly want to see how this is going to effect your future games, asking people not to use stuff they are likely going to use from now on, probably isn't going to be as helpful as you think.

When I understand Peanits correctly, prove thyself only negates the effect for one survivor, so if you are working on a gen with 3 or 4 survivor and prove thyself, the repair speed will still be slower than it is with prove thyself in live.
Also it is very much possible that even a minor change can break something, so it makes sense to test if prove thyself is doing what it is supposed to do. You don't need to play every round with it, but saying people shouldn't use it at all doesn't make sense.
You should rather appeal to the community to not use moris and strong items/addons, those are more hindering for testing than prove thyself.

How I enter in ptb???

Don't tell me what to do.

What's the problem on that?
1 -
The perk does the exact same thing is does off the PTB, there's not really any reason to use it. They both simply remove the penalty for stacking on gens.
0 -
The perk literally works in no differently than how it works now the values were just changed to compensate the base co-op reduction so the perk isn't useless.
While I'm not saying you shouldn't try things out I can at least agree that there's not much using prove thyself. At least test how the new generator speeds work before using the perk

How is 15% for each survivor not a speedboost? And the only data it provides is basically the same as it is now: multiple survivors not being slowed down for teamworking gens. The speed is the same like now, PT just negates the slowdown.
His point is, that using the perk will show no difference to the live games with this perk. But there will be a difference in gen speed without the perk.
But I still think both should be tested, because you need to verify that the perk is working as intended. Don't use it and find out that suddenly in live it speeds up gate opening or whatever we already saw in PTBs. So pls test both.

######### testing, that's the problem

look at this entitled killer

Ptb proove thyself is exactly the same as current proove thyself.
It just removes the penalty for doing a gen together.
Using it tomorrow won't affect a thing

Welp, devs do have stats of the people who used it and the people who didn't. The more stats, the better. If no one used it before, and the people started using it on the live version, doctor would be worse and the killer mains would be complaining there too.
I'm not sure what's your point.

This thread just proves that people really don't know what Prove Thyself actually does.

You do realize there isn’t a new gen speed right? Not really. The numbers are tweaked so very slightly when 2+ survivors are on a gen. That extra 2-3 seconds is meant to help the killer get to a gen and stop it. You’re not really going to be able to notice the change. It’s subtle.

-Laughs Evil- yes survivors yes
Gen rush this test show them how powerful you still are
Yesss hahaha faster faster
(Hoping the Devs will keep slowing gens until I feels good)
