Does BHVR never learn from their past mistakes?
How do we go from them acknowledging that old legion was unfun to play against to them releasing Deeathslinger which is just everything wrong with old legion on steroids.

Then they just give legion a small QOL. Change when they could do so much more like 3 second stun and not 4... when I attack someone why am I punishing and lose half my power? For a power that’s not lethal why do I miss on a swing? Why have they not reworked franks mix tape?

After more experience with going against him I have to kinda agree that he has too little counterplay in chases. I personally don't think it's the same as with old Legion, old Legion had no counterplay at all, Deathslinger does. It's just that it's too little counterplay, since you are pretty much just constantly guessing when Deathslinger is going to shoot and trying to avoid that shot.

Old legion had 0 form of counter play. DS has forms of counter play.

it was either Zubat and or Scott who described it like you did too
watching zubat, he showed how in a chase, there is little survivors can do if you just pretend to be shooting, Survivors will just try dodging and keep losing distance, they will keep an eye on you and not be paying attention as they try to watch for a shot that is never coming. yet as a whole, he has no map pressure and still loses gens like crazy.
tldr; 1v4 hes weak, 1v1 hes crazy strong, Legion part 2-gunman boogaloo

DS has too much counterplay. He's fun, but not that strong. Mid C tier at best.

What do you expect from a company that implements an automatic ban system that it cannot control. That it does not comment on the problems of the game itself unless they are very serious. It releases updates on top of updates and does not fix the most basic and old problems.

I expect them to make endless unique mistakes, not the same mistake several times.

Old legion was unfun to play against because of 2 glitch that can seriously harm you
1.) Forever Deebwound healing glitch
2.) Moon walking
Deathslinger can't do that

You do realize that explanation is absolutely nothing like either former Legion or current Legion, right?. I don't know how the hell people think Deathslinger is anything like Legion. Legion was annoying cause of the lack of counterplay and the chase breaking cheese. Deathslinger is annoying because he's a ranged stealth killer even though BHVR seemed to understand that wasn't a smart idea when they gave Huntress a humming radius that couldn't be shortened.

Of course Im baiting. Of course. Im sure most players would tell you Deathslinger is a high tier killer with zero counterplay. Not that his projectile is ridiculously small, his movement speed is awful, he's tall so its hard to mindgame with him, his power inflicts Deep Wounds, the least threatening status effect in the game, his chain is too fragile, is completely countered by survivors learning to look behind them during a chase.
No....of course Im baiting. Im just a filthy troll with almost 300 posts, whereas you have only 6, and is more likely a baiter than me.

Deathslinger is nothing like old Legion. Old Legion was frustrating to play against. The literal anti-fun of DBD.
Deathslinger? Does not have any of what made old Legion so awful. He doesnt have the chase Deep Wound bug to abuse or anything close to the bullshit that was Franks mixtape.
If Deathslinger is so awful, then why arent there more forum posts complaining about his brokeness? There was a firestorm about old Legion on here. But....no. Just people who are sorry that hes weak, and whiny people like you.

But if "baiting to shoot" is the reason you dont think he has counterplay, then why can I do this as Demodoggo and Huntress as well and people never complain about them?

Huntress has wind-up and cannot quickscope/spam ADS and fire instantly, same with demo who is punished much more than Gunboi

If AAA companies working on actual competitive first person shooter games struggle immensely to balance sniper characters, what in the name of all that is holy made you think you wouldn’t struggle to balance a sniper character in your casual melee-based asymmetrical game?

So... what? The windup and the missed Shred penalty matter very little when the whole point of your complaint is baiting the shot following it with a normal M1 instead of actually commiting.

Huntress has to wind up a hatchet with drastically cuts her speed and cannot M1 immediately, but has to put away the hatchet first, thus adding a risk-reward to her power.
Demo has to risk missing his shred, which if he hits a wall, will stun him for even longer
Deathslinger can spam M1 and exerts pressure chases without even doing anything, just walking and being able to instantly shoot, or deciding not to shoot makes him feel extremely strong in the 1v1, giving the feeling that you cant do much against him

No, that's exactly the point.
Deathslinger doesn't have a lengthy windup or unflowering animation. He just lifts up his gun in literally less than a second.
Any of the times he does this he can fire it just as easily as he can set the gun back down and continue as normal with a minimal penalty to his movement.
Huntress and Demodoggy can't do that.

I mean Deep Wounds wasn't changed until AFTER people brought attention to Nemesis + Legion on the PTB. This being after it was changed initially to prevent the Moonwalking exploit.
AND Legion's Knife add-ons broke about two or three times so that they applied cumulative decreases to Mending speed and each time it was caught by players before BHVR.
So no.
No, BHVR never learns.
