Insta heals
Ok so hear me out (before all the killer mains start complaining)
I’m trying to come up with more and more reasons to why survivors should get back insta heals
killers have insta downs
killers like to face camp and tunnel
numerous killer perks allow them to expose survivors
devs are drastically decreasing the amount of pallets and loops in a match
devs are decreasing the size of the maps, making it easier for said killers to slug and tunnel
Ds and bt are not up for discussion, Those two perks are literally to stop killers from tunneling (if they really want to tunnel they will keep going even after both of those) and depending on the killers bt doesn’t even work. For The People has too much of a bad side effect, Unbreakable can only be used once, No Mither never works unless it’s a team of No Mithers.
with all the changes coming up with 3.7.0 I think it’s reasonable to bring back insta heals, maybe not 2 health states but just one full health state.
I do understand there are extremely good survivors that will make someone want to throw out their pc or console😂😂😂 but with the recent changes implementing into dbd, maybe it wouldn’t be horrible if they came back😬🤔😄

No. A free health state (or 2 health states) can be game breaking. Besides, the syringe is still a thing, you can still heal a health state during a chase easily, and another hit in a chase can turn the game around.

What instadown do demigorgon, legion, doctor, trapper, hag, spirit and others have if they are camping anyway? myc doesnt work then, devour works never under that circumstances, and a killer has no way to force them to break haunting grounds if he camps. So what exactly are you talking about?

Insta heals are broken and might help against tunneling. Against normal killers they are OP. And you can't determine in game which is the case. Maybe make it work only on survivors that have DS active or what?
They are not drastically decreasing pallets. If at all, just slightly and from Peanits' post it was just one map where that happened. And map size has seriously nothing to do with tunneling or slugging.
You list camp/tunnel but prohibit bringing BT/DS to discussion? Well, guess I'm out then. Have a nice one

You still technically have an insta heal. Imo even better insta heal cause it counters insta downs - The Styptic Agent.

What does this matter when you can only use the Medkit when you are injured?
2 -
Isn't that the point tho?

you can always use zarina's per called for the people it would insta heal another survivor
0 -
Yeah, but how should the Styptic be better at countering Insta-Downs when you cannot use it while healthy?
0 -
Oh sorry. Let me elaborate. (This is all happenning while injured mind you)
Before the overall nerf, instaheals just healed your status (most of the time) back to healthy. If at any point you wanted to use an insta heal but were affected by an instadown it would be a waste.
Current Styptic negates that issue because it still gives you a free hit but can be used while exposed for whatever reason (power, perks) to counter it.

I think the 16-second-heal should keep working if you are downed, and still heal you if the killer slugs. If he picks you up, fine, but if he leaves you on the groudn the heal should just go through.

Insta heals were broken and essentially MoM you didn't need to work for. Insta down powers are fine imo because the killer needs to work for them. Insta down add ons imo are complete bs though, but luckily there's only 2 in the game I think. I hope they rework those soon.

No. Survivors had to lose all their BS add ons, instaheals were too much and toolboxes have been nerfed beyond useless. Theres nothing “cool” to take as survivor anymore other than a key.
However of course killers get to keep their best add ons. The rules that apply to survivor dont apply to killer, they can bring BS add ons all they want.
Know why? Because devs prioritise killer fun.

Or maybe it just requires more time to rework add ons for each and every killer than it does for survivors because they're practically reskins. Just a thought though, considering I believe they already said they would look into Billy's add ons and Iri Head for example.
1 -
I’ve never seen them comment on iri heads outside of peanits who isnt on the balance team.
”Looking at” Billys add ons isnt confirmation of what exactly they’re going to do.
Also they managed to go back and rework killer after killer and touch up most of the maps in the game but they couldnt find time to remove some cheap ass add ons that unbalance the game in big ways right now?
Maybe because like I said, killer fun is the priority. Just a thought.

How are one hit downs not game changing? How are iridescent heads combined with infantry belt yielding 3 iridescents every locker reload not game changing? How are ebony Mori’s not game changing? Pssshh...
1 -
Well then I guess we'll have to ask @Peanits to see whether or not he got that information from somewhere or just wanted to have some fun with us and made that up.
Also... What the hell are you on about? They did remove cheap ass add ons and reworked killer add ons that were completely busted. I don't see any 5 blink Nurses nowadays or Omega Nurse? Where's Prayer Beads Spirit at that yoinks me from every generator I touch? Where are those infamous Frank Mixtape Legions running around breaking every single game mechanic in the game? I haven't seen those in a while.
They may not be at the stage you want them to be when it comes to reworking busted killer add ons but you can't just straight up claim they never reworked broken killer add ons.

There is an insta heal, it's called For The People. The difference with the old ones is that it has a cost/downside, but I met a couple survivors who made my life definetly harder thanks to that perk.

You are right that killers dont lose their best addons. they just get reworked if the killer is nerfed. Sure, Legion and Nurse still have their strong addons, they just do something completly different. Just like the survivor ones.
If you really think that devs prioritize killers, then you are either that far biased that you cant even see the reality, or you are just ignorant to push an agenda. Ok, there is a third option, but i rather think its one of the first two.

I mean, yeah, but it only really makes a difference when you get healed to full health during the limited time the Styptic is active. Highly situational.
I still think the two "Insta Heals" are good, but probably not worth the 6k/7k BPs. Especially not since the Add Ons are lost when escaping - its always nice to bring a Syringe, dont need it and end up simply losing 7k BPs.

🤦🏼♀️🤦♀️🤦🏿♀️🤦🏼♀️ You survivor mains I swear. Most killers have useless addons. Maybe 5 killers out of the whole roster have addons that are extremely good or op. The tool box, the insta heal, the spirit, the bl, the maps/almost infinite loops, and the nurse changes were healthy for this game. All i ever see is you cry and moan about killers being coddled by devs or to op. If it bothers you so much find another game.

I'd be fine if the styptic agent did what a syringe (but for one state obviously) did and the syringe just took a longer period of time, or did something different for healing all together, but anything else I'm against. I've hit a couple killers with the syringe the way it is now and it can be the difference between a 3k or a 4 man escape

Killer instadowns actually take up a perk slot on the majority of killers, or they're tied to their power which has counterplay. The perks are also conditional to activate. A killer never just "has instadowns" unless you're talking about Iri heads.
Instaheals were a medkit add on that were often stacked with second chance perks like Unbreakable, DS, Adrenaline, etc, so multiple survivors would have an insane amount of health states. Is a 1v6 fair? 1v8? DS is not an anti tunnel perk in higher levels of play. It's used as 60 seconds of immunity for free objective time. I see injured survivors with DS trying to hammer out gens with healthy teammates on a nightly basis.
Killer instadowns and survivor instaheals are not the same thing. Camping and tunneling are separate issues entirely.

Maybe if all killers had an instadown. But they don't. Styptics are really annoying. Especially for those of us who play lower tiered killers. Should we get instantdowns too then?
