Buff mettle of man again.
Campers ruin this game alot, it's just ridiculous. EVERYTIME a facecamp killer appears (leatherface is 100%) .
Seriously why so many stupid toxic killers in low ranks?

You can crawl away to heal if he's slugging you. If he wastes his time following you, it buys your team more time to win the game while he gets a 1k. I wasn't trying to be rude too, by the way, was just saying that these are generally the few perks to help with camping. You could also bring Dead Hard to get some distance when you get unhooked or unbreakable if they leave you on the ground after being slugged.

I agree that after Gen time is balanced, they need to find a way to remove face camp and tunneling.
Killers should get 2k without have to camp & tunnel. But even if Gen time goes up to 200sec, camp & tunnel will always happens, if the game allows them to do so.

Leatherface has a rep for camping but outside of people that meme with insidious he isn’t so bad.
The real culprits are Ghostface, Deathslinger, Wraith, Hag. Spirits as well....they technically leave the hook but always Phase walk back over and over again hoping to catch the unhook so they can tunnel.

I run Devour Hope on wraith so can't camp. But it's funny because people don't expect a wraith to run it :D

This time last year I would have agreed. Pig used to be really bad for it. Camp hooks and spend all game tunneling the survivor with a RBT on.
Past few months though I’ve been lucky and only met decent Pigs. Seems like a lot of people stopped using her leaving only the good players using her now.

Well, i take it by camping you mean face camping someone to death? Staring at them until they die or just hanging around the hook until their victim dies or someone comes to save them? For i think it would be a good idea to make sure everyone has the same idea as to what camping means. Since i seen people call patrolling gens camping and toxic.

Every game is going to have people who exist solely to ruin someone else's day. It doesn't even have to be a pvp game.
What would you have them do?
Hard Campers are already throwing the game and points just to ruin their one guy. They don't care about punishments like that.
Others, who only hand around when there are scratch marks or they see 3 other Survivors are only doing the right thing to do in that situation.
As soon as there's a punishment mechanism, the other side will immediately and intentionally force the killer into situations where they get punished.
The literal only cure for camping is to have Survivors die on the first hook. Anything else is abusable by one side or the other. And even then, the jerks will just camp slugs instead of hooking them.

I agree with buffing mettle of man, it didn't need to be nerfed in the first place, only insta heals needed to be nerfed. Besides, I'd rather have people waste time healing themselves (to try to make optimal mettle of man plays) instead of doing gens when injured. Mettle of man in its current state is a game throwing perk, and arguably more detrimental than self-care.

SWF have the ability to counter camping. But solo queue definitely needs some type of anti-camping buff for survivors. My personal suggestion is to have a baseball bat spawn in pre-determined locations on every map that survivors can equip like a regular item. Its a one-time use item that stuns the killer for 5 seconds which is enough to grab someone off the hook and take a hit in the process.
This would especially be useful when there's only two survivors left and the killer is camping one of em.

Whenever I play survivor it's solo, so that's probably why this happens, but I find myself getting farmed off the hook or just even simply tunneled down pretty often. Thing is, I don't play toxic or try to piss people off, and I rarely ever touch most perks people would call "toxic." That includes DS, which I still to this day haven't ever really used. Not for the sole reason of it being OP and me not allowing myself OP things or anything, but I just find other perks more interesting. Anyway, I say all this because, being a solo survivor and finding myself at the short end of the stick, and always having those games where I can do practically 0 things except get chased, I find myself wanting to start spamming DS. But then I have to deal with people that might focus me just because I took DS or whatever.
It just feels like I can't win. It's either I go against people who bring mori's and/or tunnel the shiz out of me and spam really boring things constantly like Forever Freddy and Nurse while not having any "second chance/crutch" perks to defend myself, or I bring those things and then not enjoy myself/get tunneled anyway because I had OP things. And I don't like bringing the absolute strongest stuff every game and just easy winning anyway because it's just a snooze fest.

I know camping is extremly frustrating.But in my opinion the best way to stop most camping is that survivors should start to punish obvious campers by rushing gens.Maybe then some will learn that 1 or 2 kills and a few points isn't really fun in the long term.
But currently campers are often times rewarded with lots of points and kills because survivors fail to punish the camping killer.Of course some killer would ask themself why should i work hard if i could get the same or better results just by standing in front of the hooked person.
Other than that there won't be a way to stop toxic killers to ruin other survivors fun.
I can't think of a way to implement a system that would punish those toxic campers without it being abused some how by both sides

Only affords you the luxury of taking an extra hit, if someone manages to off hook you without being downed themselves and you aren't slugged as a result. With new map changes, it will be a short jaunt to the non-existent loop or unsafe palette to snag the 'prey that got away' in no time. These are not guaranteed escapes, ensuring ppl actually get an opportunity to engage in the game. They are merely bandaids for a hideous playstyle.

DC penalties means that survivors cant manage their games anymore so killer camping/tunneling has gone up, because they know people will stay.
Also, smurf accounts, entitled killers will obliterate low ranks just for their epeen.
Seriously killers were manageable if they knew survivors would leave sweaty games. But they don't have that fear anymore so, all I can recommend to you is 'family share' on your computer (if you PC). To keep your DC penalties low.

There's nothing about camping for the devs to "fix" – just like there's nothing about looping or evading for the devs to "fix".
There are obvious counters in place that every team is capable of using to punish a camping killer and secure a win.
Some basic math for you:
1. When a Survivor is hooked, it takes 120 seconds for the hooked Survivor to die. These two minutes are divided into one minute for the "first stage", another minute for the struggle phase.
2. At base, with no form of enhancement, it takes a single Survivor 80 seconds to complete one generator from start to finish. This timer can be sped up by certain Perks such as Resilience and by toolboxes.
If you've been paying attention, this means that 3 Survivors can hammer out 3 gens when the hooked Survivor still has about 40 seconds left on the hook, if they all work on separate gens.
If, before going down and getting hooked in the first place, the hooked Survivor managed to run the Killer around for about a minute, this should have cost the Killer at least 1-3 gens already, meaning the Killer who chooses to facecamp at that point is handing marginally-competent Survivors an easy escape.
If the Killer insists on just sitting on the hook until the Survivor is dead – then by the time the Survivor is hooked and between that time and the time they actually die, the other 3 Survivors have enough time to complete all objectives and escape.
Survivors just need to watch out for NOED, which facecampers usually bring.
If you're part of an SWF, you just need to tell your teammates to stay on the gens and rush them.
They need to understand that they cannot make a save and cannot waste time doing anything other than just doing gens.
If you're in solo queue, you need either Kindred and/or hope your teammates have functioning brains (which, sadly, isn't true as often as we'd like) and will understand what needs to happen and won't, oh I don't know, just crouch-walk towards the hook and then spend the entire 2 minutes just crouching and hiding and inching around waiting for the Killer to leave (which is not going to happen) and thus dooming both their teammate and the entire team and rewarding the facecamper.
Here's a true story for you:
Once upon a time, I was in a match on Grim Pantry against a Leatherface. He was chasing Dwight. Eventually, Dwight went down. Dwight had Kindred. To no one's surprise, Leatherface was facecamping – which you could tell even without Kindred since you could hear him revving his saw across the entire map – and every Survivor in the team besides myself could see the Killer's aura hugging the hook and we all understood what's happening so we all jumped on 3 separate gens and popped all three before Dwight died.
Dwight died just as we got the exit gates open and I just ran out of the gate, sad that there's no way I'd pip from this match.
Killer: 1 kill and less than 6000 bloodpoints.
Survivors: 3 escapes.
Feels bad for the Dwight, but I hope that Killer changed tactics afterwards. If nothing else, we gave him a reason to do so.

Other advice would be: play killer and see what conditions killer is most likely to camp you and avoid those. If they do it just for the sake of trolling just move on.Camping is viable strategy.
