How to put this in a friendly way...

It’s not removing a strong window and wording it that way tells me you don’t play killer or have never made it out of yellow ranks. Those were not strong windows. They’re infinite/god loops. Survivors can run to them with no skill and ensure They survive, running around and around forever. That should have never been in the game to begin with.

Post this thread in the right section so the devs are able to see it and eventually do something

Its Wretched shop that is more awful on the ptb. Perhaps looking at a map that actually got changed will assist you in determining the quality of it rather than one that didn't get touched.

First off, I do play killer and I am not a yellow rank. I think assuming someone’s rank or validity of their opinion through a rank is plain dumb. I am pretty sure you wouldn’t like us to assume that you are just a negative person based off your username, doesn’t seem right does it?
Second, I don’t care what word you use to describe the current iteration those windows hold, it doesn’t mean that removing them completely is the answer. Not every single survivor who used them abused them. That’s the point I am trying to make. The problem isn’t the window itself it’s how you can go from the window to a tile, back to the window and often times break chase, which means the entity will no longer block it.
Adding a doorway just means that the only interaction is basically bloodlusting the survivor, no mind game at all. Aka a lost opportunity for a fun Killer vs survivor interaction.

Now you feel how we feel when 3 gens pop with 1 hook because we can't apply enough pressure according to some.
1 -
Why should the killer be punished for your bad teammates by putting enough pallets to waste mindlessly.
2 -
This is good, they’re finally balancing out the game
2 -
Hard facts.

Good juke game? That’s not the kind of game I bought. That’s not what makes games fun. It’s about using your environment that the devs are supposed to supply you with. Killers have abilities, ez one hit downs, speed, they have to give survivors a way to successfully survive if they’re good at using THE ENVIRONMENT. Includes pallets, vaults, hugging walls, running efficiently. Not “juking” a killer. They need to design maps more around environmental interactions to boost survivors chances of survival. Taking away pallets and vaults altering loops in any way to favor killer isn’t helping the other 90% of the map that feels as though for survivors you’re just too out in the open and caught out of position. It’s killer sided.

Bloodlust is a bandaid fix, they will get rid of it later when the game is more balanced.

I really don't see the problem here. They will revert it back. Just need a few killer players returning so you can play games that are longer than the queue times. Plus, this is ######### horrible. I don't mean the changes, i mean the effort. They have done significant changes to multiple maps in a mid chapter. We haven't seen this before.
Holy ######### #########, pondering about this update makes it even funnier. I thought they abolished crunch time lmao

I'm cool if pallet throwing survivors die faster and separate us in the new mmr.

Glad it was sarcasm. You had me worried there mate! But yeah, you're right. Those comments will pop up eventually
0 -
That is really different
0 -
That is what I thought
0 -
so now instead of god loops we have only complete dead zones. get BHVR'd i guess

Well most survivors don't even solo queue anymore. It's nearly always SWF from my experience. Usually with no items, and a group of people who run in a group and constantly take protection hits to protect each other and then scatter to keep working on gens. Which is usually a pain in the backside for a casual killer main, making it so you have to sweat hard to even do well at all. I used to be a solo survivor myself, (loved playing as Bill) but it just doesn't seem worth it, compared to playing solo killer. The game is basically considered a "party" game now anyway, so it's always a group of friends usually.
2 -
that's because solo queue is terrible. no one wants to play it anymore, i stopped playing it as well and now only play killer and survivor as swf.
4 -
#########?They didn't touched this map,you can see it on the level designs changes chart.
0 -
I went the same way. Can’t touch solo anymore. Hell even 2 man swf can be unbearable at times.
Hard to get everyone on at the same time for a bigger party so its only worth playing killer now.
Killers complain about swf but most play in lame ways or just bring their most OP add ons everygame so they force people into playing swf.

I can't wait to see these changes on PS4. Lots of pointess back and forth going on around here. I love how people think that bickering and forcing their opinion down people's throats will somehow make their point valid.
1 -
I have an idea, how about survivors dont run towards dead zones, or plan escapes? Hell consider dragging the killer to a deadzone so he has to waste time on you rather than whine because you cant pallet stun flashlight stun the killer every 5 seconds.
1 -
I think he was sarcastic
2 -
Well this thread was unnecessary, a bit disrespectful, and only spread misinformation. Maybe it’s time to close it?

Killer main here, I'd agree it's a bit too much, there should be a pallet per gen, killer shack, and 4 randoms.
1 -
Here is the thing. The whole middle was a deazone. 1 Pallet for 2 generators while the next pallet was the killershack and the crane does not give you a lot of room to play. Not running into deadzones is easy to say when you are surrounded all over the place with deadzones. If the killer is smart, he will force this one pallet early in the game and he has a relative easy mid/lategame.

Devs screwing over solo Q survivors again? Why am I not surprised.
3 -
Underrated comment.
2 -
From statistics, you get a 4man not even every 10 games. Over 50% of the playerbase is playing solo survivor, again, according to offcial statistics. It is not nearly as bas as you think.

This is what is so insane about what the devs have done in mismanaging this community, they've created a fundamental disconnect in the average killer by repeatedly nerfing survivor relative to killer.
The tribalism is so insane that even when you point out cold hard facts to them like this, a part of their brain melts and responds with 'nah'.
0 -
What a totally naive comment. What rank are you?
A smart killer is not going to fall for that, further more, in trying to imagine a scenario where your idea would even play out, I could only see it happening on low rank games, a rank 1- 10 killer would have far to much situational awareness to get caught on a stupid chase in a dead zone for no reason.
😴
1 -
I'd rather just play something else if its as bad as he says it is.
I'll come back when (if) the monkey's fix it.
0 -
ROFL.
EGC?
Hatch close?
Recently...
Please respond, I want to blow you up with survivor nerfs relative to killer.
I dare you.
0 -
I honestly dont know what your going on about, but I responded like you wanted <3
0 -
To a degree yes, but having the entirety of how you play flipped upside down was the same. A lot of people tend to loops pallets get hit through it, drop pallets in front of a clocked wraith or FF Legion. Stuff like this. It will be interesting to see how it goes forward with people no longer able to mindlessly waste pallets or use a god loop that has a predetermined spawn.
Except the numerous deadzones those should be fixed.
0 -
Okay, so there's a couple less pallets. Just use one of your infinite 2nd chance perks... 🤷♂️
0 -
Let's dance.
trajectory this game
Infinites gone, vaulting/perk/map/pallet nerfs, bloodlust added, end game timer added, hatch close added. All this has made being killer easier and survivor harder since release.
2 escapes, 2 kills is the devs unit of metric. You don’t have to like that but it’s whats given the survivors all their nerfs and all the killers current buffs.
You look at the SB vs. NOED debates that happend at release all those years ago. SB now is mediocre at best where as NOED is still a high tier perk.
Killers now are up around 70% kills due to the trajectory of the game and the devs metric system, unless you feel their metric system is bad, in which case they can undo all the changes I've just mentioned....
It's only been recently that killers have started getting push back from devs because the state of the game is disconnecting survivors who know a game is going to end in a 4k so why bother for 3k BP.
And what do we see? Thread after thread recently of nurse players whining, legion players whining, spirit players whining. People talk about salty survivors alot in this forum but ignore the elephant in the room.
Take your time now, feel free to respond when your ready.
1 -
Low rank but considering what you just said a deadzone is a good place to escape cause killers will break chase
0 -
You said it, I was trying to envision your scenario.
0 -
Yeah, i dont play often, but its a win win, either you drag the killer away from your team or the killer breaks off. Either way its good
0 -
Yea that's kewl man.

Getting late here, I'll come back and check on you in the morning <3

This topic has become quite the cringefest.
:3
2 -
Yes I do understand that part but for solo survivors like my self that is way worse because of the potato survivors I get
0 -
You can't fix a map and then proceed to keep the bandaid fix so it overkills on that map. They need to figure it out.
0 -
The maps are not fixed quite yet. They eliminated a big part of the problem, but the rest remains... (besides, how would Beast of Prey work without Bloodlust?)
0 -
I just beat 3 ranks 1 blendette by doctor which was easy lol.

Calm spirit would like to have a word with you.

I have been doing some testing with kyf, and I actually got to spawn Mother's Dwelling once with only a total of 7 pallets. I mean maybe that is the intended minimum amount of pallets on that map, though it shouldn't be, but otherwise there might really be a bug with the pallet distribution and the minimum pallet system that is causing these deadzones. The other two times the map spawned with 11 and 13 pallets, which is much more reasonable.
Because holy hell Mother's Dwelling had some huge areas with nothing in it that time, which was a bit extreme. The house being in the middle of the map is of course good in such situations, but still I feel 7 pallets is not enough.
0 -
It's not just the ptb, I've noticed that Gas heaven randomly spawns very few pallets quite a few times. I've had games as killer where I've only encountered pallets for the first minute of the match and then never again. The other two maps I encountered this problem with are both of the Yamaoka maps.
