Ruin didn't affect every person, where as this does. To be honest, it's about time to remove things like big maps and infinites. What is problematic with this update is the amount of dead zones there are. I get they don't want jungle gyms to spawn around other structures to create easy loops, but dead zones should not exist to this extent. On the live client, Ormond already has tons of dead zones, now there are more. It's a step in the right direction, but until they nerf hook spawns and killer mobility, as well as remove bloodlust, then it will be more tolerable. Did I mention, dead zones are problematic?

For starters, Ruin wasn't ruined (no pun intended). LOTS of people still use it, and use it effectively. In addition there are other, strong perks that work to do the same thing - slow down gen progression - and are very effective. This comparison is not even remotely a comparison. People who say "gitgud" about the changes that are occurring are making an ignorant statement and drawing a comparison akin to apples and basketballs.
Obviously survivors will learn to adapt, because we have every single patch for the last 12+ months that have changed or nerfed how we have to interact with the game. But that doesn't negate the fact that for a large portion of the survivor population, that doesn't fall under the hated "SWF group" category (the catalyst for these changes), these changes will have increasingly negative effects on their matches. Which is rightful upsetting in a game you paid money to play.
Survivors are already good, sir. That's why killer crying just resulted in a huge boost to your ability to win a game. 🖕

God these threads really don't help one bit. Nowadays people can't argue with more than telling the other side to "git gud".

make sure to give feedback to the devs in the proper places about the dead zones and constructive ideas. don't just say it and whine when it happens without your input they can't make it better.
first of all when ruin was nerfed (changed but it's a nerf becuase now it's completely what people don't expect anymore. it's A NERF!) killers cried here on the forums and survivors cried back "GET GUD" chase off of gens etc. didn't matter what was brought up (hag, huntress at 110% or trapper with no mobility to cross maps fast) it was just "GET GUD" now these changes happen and survivors are crying and no matter what is brought up it's "GET GUD" this is the problem people don't realize why it's so bad. survivors have not been continually shat upon, nor have killers. but your suggestion to remove mobility to killers ???? #########?? maybe blood lust, ONCE the maps are set right sure since that was a band-aid put on for these issues now being fixed. so what mobility must be removed? shall we make the nurse blink only 8 meters at a time, give her one blink before the exhaustion hits? oh how about billy... lets make his chainsaw move him slower than his normal movement speed... oh that'd be grand for survivors wouldn't it.
remember this game relies more on killer players staying in and playing. in 100 matches there are 100 killers and 400 survivors. if you loose 30 killers but no survivors, that means only 70 matches can happen at any given time thus only 280 survivors can be in a match at anyone time. that's 120 survivors that are out of a match for how ever long. (used 100 matches as an easy number to show the problem) now expand that to 1000 matches, that's 1000 killers and 4000 survivors. lose 300 killers, you have 1200 survivors sitting out matches.... it's a matter of numbers if you try to say but it's survivors that make up the bulk and thus are more important, you are correct that survivors are the largest numbers, but you have to get more than 30% leaving at any one time to affect the killers that much. so by the numbers if the killers leave, and no survivors then you end up with no one getting matches.
this MEANS that both sides have to be happy but they need to realize it's a compromise. Also everyone needs to stop saying any change you didn't want is a nerf. this is the other problem... everyone thinks that they are the most important!!! nope you aren't everyone is just as important as the other and if you don't like something you have a choice: 1) live with it or 2) leave and move on.
