Upcoming archive challenges are looking stupid as always
These better not be making it into the rift when it releases. I wonder what their thought process is when designing these...

5 survivors with one use!?
hiding within 10metres for 1 minute in one trial!?
So essentially they're just challenges that require on how the other side plays rather than the player themselves? hmm..
14 -
aka get them to farm

None of these are any more ridiculous than prior challenges though? Legion's power is designed to get multiple people and the way you get five hits is pretty simple: find all four survivors, hit em each once, hit the last guy you find twice. Boom challenge done. Since Dwight's challenges don't specify if he needs to be in a locker, all it's saying is just be out of a chase but be close to a killer for sixty seconds. Also not hard if you tail the killer for a match.
Stop over-exaggerating the difficulty of challenges. As long as we never get a garbage challenge like 4 gen Dark Sense, I'm pretty much fine with anything.

So where can I find 4 braindead survivors who will just stand there in a group as legion runs at them in frenzy? Or a killers who is blind/deaf?
10 -
It's also a lot harder on lower ranked because no one mends until the last second.
Or hit the last guy twice.

They look interesting, maybe I will need more than 2 days per Tome Level.
1 -
Duration and Speed addons and then just tail the killer as they chase another survivor around a loop. Stop making these sound impossible. Not every game is gonna consist of survivors playing optimally and not every game has a 200 IQ killer.
3 -
You can hit the same survivor 4 times
1 -
In a SINGLE use of Feral Frenzy, once you hit them again, Feral Frenzy ends.
4 -
Ah, my bad. Never played Legion, didn't know he worked that way.
0 -
Yeah, you have to catch all 4 survivors together and smack the last person twice.
5 -
They look good - I love a good challenge!!
1 -
Realistically, there's a chance all 4 spawn together, but overall about as silly as I expected from BHVR. People will totally farm to just get those.
0 -
The Legion ones are rough but sound somewhat doable just playing a normal match but those Dwight ones are a bit too much.
2 -
Probably that they’re challenges.
1 -
There’s even a couple of grab challenges even though they’re broken as ######### currently. Hell, one of them is get two gen grabs while using Discordance in a SINGLE ######### TRIAL! These challenges are just continuing to prove that the devs responsible for the Archives either don’t know what a good challenge is or are just coming up with things that sound cool and throwing them in the game.
5 -
The 10 meters one is really strange yes, but the 5 survivors one is very easy to do, I did it today, 6 feral hits in one single frenzy, basically because they have enough time to mend themselves while you are in the track for the others, so for this one you shouldn't use blades addons.

It might be a completely different team, no current developer that knows about the games bad latency would put such a ridiculous challenge knowing how bad grabs are at the moment.
3 -
Good god that Dwight one is ridiculous. Why are the devs actively encouraging people to not play the game? If I'm a solo player and two or even one of my ######### teammates is trying to hide near the killer for 60 ######### seconds then gens will never get done. It baffles me that somebody thought this was a good idea and multiple other people approved it. At least the Legion player benefits from hitting multiple survivors. If a survivor hides in a ######### locker trying to be near the killer then the only person that benefits is the ######### killer.
I'm getting really tired of this game.
4 -
Yep definitely not buying this rift pass. I'll be lucky if I get to level 20 with these kinds of challenges
Don't have legion, and my Dwight is still lvl 1 soooo
0 -
I just looked through the challenges again and...
What the ######### are these? These are way too luck based. You have no way of forcing a Survivor to jump in a locker and no way to know if they are. Not every Survivor jumps in one to use DS so you can't rely on that. The EGC challenge requires to you to get lucky twice (unless you're Doctor or have Deerstalker, then you only have to get lucky once) with finding the Hatch and then finding the downed Survivor. Even throwing the game isn't always guaranteed because of bodyblocking. Also, it really ######### sucks to have to throw an entire game just for a challenge (it isn't even a master challenge).
4 -
200 generators? This can't be right O_O
5 -
The challenge for Feral Frenzy x5 says "hit", not "apply Deep Wounds". So, for that one, maybe you dont have to go back to the first Survivor you hit. Maybe you just have to hit the 4th Survivor and hit them again. Your Feral Frenzy ends, but you hit a Survivor for a 5th time.

If you like the outfit then go for it! The legs are slightly less noticeable, so you could always just get 2/3 items or only the hood.

The WGLF challenge happened after they fixed protection hits while carrying Survivors. Literally too easy if you just went for getting hit whenever the Killer downs someone. Stand in front of the hook -> 1 token. You could even get it faster with Styptic Agent and/or MoM.
The stun one was a bit trickier, but doable.

The Legion ones are pretty easy. I manage those on a semi-regular basis.
0 -
I want you to end my suffering if these get released, ok?
0 -
Dwight challange be like:
Be useless for 60 second(s),and then escape the trial as Dwight Fairfield
Complete this challange in a single trial.
5 -
Yes, that is exactly right. I would suggest FF duration add-ons. When they first lowered mending time to 12 seconds, 8 with help, I was actually able to get 7 hits once in a single FF use. Just the once. Haven't been able to get past 5 since then.

The locker grab happens often enough to me, just keep playing and you will get it.
The other one is a bit more tricky but not impossible, have NoeD and simply start slugging like a madman at the end and hope they dont have adrenaline (or not more then maybe 1 or 2) and have deerstalker so you can find your slugs.
I dont mind these, these are ok.

The 10m condition on Dwights challenges are crap. It says "hide". If you have to run behind the killer to stay within 10m, the killer just needs to look into your direction for a split second and you are in a chase. I mean, pebbles are TR based, and 32m is something different than 10m. And you don't get pebbles that often. Combining it with the need to escape, while having to waste most of your time hunting the killer...
Better run it with a sabo/breakout/flashlight build to be of any use, or you won't get to the point to be able to escape
1 -
Except for the dwight hiding ones all od these seem pretty easy tbh
0 -
You forgot the escaping part. 60s in a 10m distance to the killer without being chased means that you are pretty useless in that match, but against a decent killer the other survivors will probably not be able to do all the gens on their own so you have to hope for hatch.
Maybe it will work better on the indoor maps, where the killer can come quite close without starting the chase (how many meters are between first and second floor on the game?), but in general it seems like they expect you to throw the game and escape still and that's quite bs.
Guess I have to hope for an afk killer.
1 -
As a killer, you can at least farm with survivors, for example, if you can't grab them properly, but as for survivors... I hate challenges like "do something and then escape". Especially, when this "something" is a stupid or too hard thing to do. I am not a pro survivor, and when you get a bad or inexperienced team due to matchmaking, it is soooo difficult to complete such challenges. And the Dwight one is really dumb.
2 -
So basically as a survivor they want you to play as a potato who doesn't know what teamwork is and make you play as sweaty as possible with killer (unless you get potato survivors, which there are plenty of, if RNG is in your favor). Well with the maps being smaller and pallets being removed, I guess the sweat won't pour out as much for killers now, but R.I.P. people who relied on broken loops. But now actually good survivors are gonna have to sweat more with pallets and windows being reduced, bye bye jungle gyms and say hello to T L's. Lightweight and Iron Will might become regulars in my builds, because if we can't lose the killer with chases, we'll have to break LOS and keep it broken, and unless the killer is deaf/blind, we're going to need Lightweight and Iron Will. Works wonders with Spirits. They're actually the reason I started running LW and IW back when I used to be green rank, since I used to go up against so many spirits. LW and IW negate Spirit's power.
1 -
Some of these are pretty stupid, I agree.
The 4 survivor during EGC, is not a master challenge, so just play that one normal. It rewards only 3 fragments instead of 5.
0 -
Well... guess I better prestige legion next... gonna need to get some duration addons...
0 -
Thats a good idea but the thing is we need a timer at least that tell us
1 -
The FF one is fairly easy... if you go against rank 21s.
The hiding one, if you're a killer and you see a Dwight in your lobby, start to look around you, because you might be the one being stalked.
If you're survivor, dodge every lobby with Dwights.
Pretty good job so far.
2 -
I think with a lot of these, we could really do with onscreen prompts to tell us how we are doing.
I would very much like to know when I can stop hiding and get on with the game! Wondering though whether it's the same conditions as Stakeout? As in remain in Terror radius without being in chase?
Also, are all of the above for real, or photoshop? 200 gens? 4 EGC hooks??!?!?!? #########????
