Survivors are getting nerfed too much
Why do survivors keep getting nerfed and killers are saying things like "try play against red ranks" i may only be a rank 9 killer but i've played against full lobby of red rank survivors countless times, most of the times sfw, and i never get less then a 2k, usually a 3k with the 4th person getting hatch, like seriously hitboxes are broke af and people get hit across the map and you're removing good loops ? i don't get what the devs are doing, stop saying this new update will "balance the game" because in reality killers are too OP as it is especially with specific builds. what killers are OP ? I'll tell you, doctor, freddy, myers (with infinite tier 3 or insta mori) and specific builds they can be even better, even deathslinger is up for debate because of hitboxes. :D i can hear the killer mains typing already

Because some people want it where they can comfortably 4k and never have to sweat for it even though it’s an online multiplayer game against real, often highly skilled opponents. These ate your people that tunnel with freddy and take NOED and an ebony.

The problem is it’s trying to balance this equation: (assumes equal skill of all 5 players with no potatoes or noobs)
solo q << killer < 4 person swf
(2-3 swf with solo is probably about equal to killer)
you can’t buff or nerf survivor or killer and make this entire equation equal out.
you also can’t nerf only swf without nerfing solo.
It stands to reason then, the only solution is that you have to buff solo and then killer.
you can only buff solo, and not swf, by giving them some or all of what swf already has.
kindred bass kit, totem counter, chase indicator for all survivors would just about do it.

Rank 1 survivor here with proof:
This mid chapter patch removed arguably the biggest problem in the game besides Freddy.
The last few patches prior have been survivor sided, especially with Hex Ruin, only three months before this patch.
Also many killers still have the bug where their first lunge is shorter, but when we had that doc bug with decisive strike, fixed within a day.
The game is still survivor sided with infinites gone, but this is the first killer buff in a while.

I mean I'm a Survivor main and yet here we are. I agree, the recent map changes are pretty terrible and a good chunk of the Killers on these forums have no clue what they're talking about (although that goes for plenty of Survs on here too).
Most Killers aren't really OP though, just annoying (such as the Doctor you mentioned).
However, killers like Freddy and Hillbilly are actually gonna poop on everyone now if those dead zones stay in the map reworks lol

Did you not see the amount of people who asked for a Deathslinger buff? Or for Hangmans to remain the same? Or for Ruin to stay the same and that its change was only positive for few killers?
They definitely do not only hear killer mains, if they did we would be in a game that was killer sided and not survivor sided.

ruin was never hard to hit in my opinion, insta heals already got nerfed, gen rushing wouldn't be a thing if people knew how to patrol gens and infinites aren't a problem if you just leave the survivor and look for someone else

It is year 2022. Survivors now spawn in the dying state. Killer mains unanimously declared unbreakable a crutch and it was promptly nerfed. Now the only way for survivors to escape is if one can find the hatch before the killer finishes sacrificing the other 3.

Marth and Angrypug both played beta when it was released and showed god loops still in the game, both were on "changed maps". endless pallets and Ruin nerf shows gens can be rushed within 4.5mins

The Legion Feral Frenzy adjustment: Restored The Legion's ability to see scratch marks and pools of blood at the beginning of the fatigue (when Feral Frenzy expires).

Ok I’ll start by saying I play both sides so I can sort of see what both find annoying as I’ve been on the receiving end on both sides. From my perspective the next update isn’t a “Survivor nerf” I think it more of a fix. The only real nerf to survivors would be the slight coop repair speed reduction that’s it. The infinite loops and some large maps being reduced in size are just fixes to obvious design flaws. You will still be able to loop the killer for all 5 gens like before the only difference is the killer will have a chance of catching you. Unlike the infinite loops we have now where if you get to them the killer has no other choice than to drop the chase. The map reduction is just so the killer has a chance to patrol the gens before 1 pops just seconds into the game. Now I’ll ask a question do you genuinely believe fixing infinite loops is a bad thing? Do you really think the devs are “Killer sided” for doing this?

Nobody is complaining about fixes to the infinite loops. We're complaining about the increase in dead-zones accompanied by the reduction in map size.

Killer is not even fun it's so easy. I have to wreck my build and use no add-ons. But Then I play a SWF and they t-bag.. Match making and rank is the real problem. Can't just rank up by getting points for being a camper or a bad teammate is the solution.

I wish there was a way to confirm this isn't some type of trolling post. But... I do agree with some of these things. Them hitboxes. All too often I've cleared vaults taken a step and still gotten hit. Toolboxes are useless. Maybe it was done to avoid gens being done so fast. Seen gen rushers clear 3 gens in about three minutes when killers commit to a chase too long. That can devestate killers. You may be the exception. Here is hoping that there will be a stats list that we can all see that could bolster your argument. As of right now your experience seems to be the exception. I witness the other way around more often than not.

You insult people, but then get salty when they insult you and you demand they use “dbd logic”. Quit trolling. You and everyone else knows know that the game is typically survivor sided if all players are of equal skill and higher skill. (There are exceptions to certain maps, add-ons, etc. But more often than not, the advantage is on the survivors.) Also, you know that people call them infinites, even though nothing is truly infinite anymore. It’s just a term, you knew exactly what that person meant. You are baiting arguments, demanding people be nice to you while being condescending to them. Don’t be that guy.

The game isn’t survivor sided unless you’re talking about 3-4 man swf teams, but even then the killer tops it all if they bring ultra rare add ons, noed and an ebony.

Skill-based matchmaking. Ofc rank 1 survivor doesn't mean they all need to play the same and need to be good cuz most of the survivors are boosted and if you are rank 9 and playing against red ranks that means they are bad. It's not because of matchmaking (tried it myself. Played on ps4 and Xbox the first 2games always were against survivors with the same rank as I but after them games it always increased and I always got better survivors but I still won and then I was non stop matched up against red ranks as a rank 15. After I reached rank 2 I started like "trolling" and from game to game the survivors I got were way worse). And if it's so easy why ain't you Red rank then?

Because killers seem to feel like if they don't get a 4K, they dont end up winning. So they cry for nerf nerf nerf until they get what they want. The fact is, the game will always be killer sides because there are less killers than survivors. BHVR needs to bow down to them in order to keep the game running.

So here’s the issue: I don’t know if you’ve paid attention or even care, but this update has been a long time coming. The god loops are being changed to have survivors and killers actually think about what the other side is going to do, rather than Survivors mindlessly looping at a window (Ironworks window, Rancid god loop, Torment Creek, etc). And your point of the devs only favoring killers is invalid, because if you remember a couple months prior to this PTB, Hex: Ruin was nerfed, which was one of the best killer perks in the game and was thought to be needed by majority of the killer cast to even be able to play the game. The killers that you listed above are powerful killers in the right hands, but not overpowered in any way, with the exception of Michaels with his iri add ons. But anyways I don’t know if you’ve been paying attention to gameplay from optimal survivors being able to five gen loop a killer (which I have done myself), but if you have, then just know that should never happen and any killer, no matter what rank or skill level, should always have a chance to get at least a kill in a trial, and people like you should not be able to have a skilless mindset of holding one button and holding forward at an exploitative window

2 people worked on gens and he could've hit the shack gen while he was there and possibly have saved himself some time. If he didn't slug too much and maybe of pressured gens they would have gotten a 4k.

I already get camped, tunneled and Mori every other game. With this new update I'd be surprised if I can get a gen done. I haven't played in awhile because of the constant Mori but Im kinda excited to see how bad things will be as a survivor now. 😂😂😂

Well, I'm playing DbD since 6000 hours killer and survivor, solo and swf, survivors and killers are both strong, a good killer can Easily get a 4k even against swf. I played against red ranks 3 player swf today as Legion, they had clan accounts, weren't bad but I got them with Legion. The "worst killer in the game," I understand why they're destroying infinits but I don't really understand why they're destroying the maps and jungle jim spawns, making every pallet and every loop unsave won't help anyone. My swf main team is thinking about stop playing DbD when the next midchapter patch is coming because it's unbalanced as f***. It's annoying that they're nerfing and buffing everything because of the low ranks they should start also thinking about the high rank players that know the game. It isn't "every Noob killer can easily get a 4k" it's dead by daylight but they're making it to a game where legit everyone get a 4k without skill, the exit gates spawns are trash, moris are trash, exhaustion add ons are trash, keys are trash. That the hatch is spawning even when 0 gens are done is annoying too because they don't deserve an escape without even 1 gen that is done. You should work on the hitboxes, deadhard if broken 2. 90% of the time when I'm using it I'm getting hit through, slugging shouldn't be a counter for the ds bcs killers can just tunnel and slug then for a minute. Also I think the last surv should have the 3 escape from the hook tries, it's stupid that the last one dies instantly even if he's getting first hooked.
