Please just skip one chapter for the sake of the game's health

I feel like we've got already enough characters on both sides to stop for at least one chapter, and instead focus on balancing stuff, adding new core gameplay to both sides, and simply fix what is wrong.

We need things for survivors to stall killers without it being just -looping- it's getting old, boring, and uncreative, they need something else to work with so it isn't the same ring around the rosie thing every single game. Add new objectives so this isn't all about sitting on a gen for 80 seconds each with the same format of skill checks that we've been seeing for years.

Killers need something else besides their power to interact with to add some more surv and killer interaction altogether, rather than just walk and patrol the boring looking gens and pressing M1 to down, just to later possibly resort to mind-numbing strats such as camping/tunneling cause the game just forces them to or they just feel like it.

Please rework the blasted moris and keys, these are just unlikable and change the pace of the game in a terrible way that both sides are gonna hate one way or the other.

For the love of god BUFF the weakest killers and make all the perks somewhat more viable, we're tired of seeing the same crap meta builds all the time, and for a game that tries to encourage different perk builds, it certainly fails at making anything else look good.

Give rank AND devotion rewards as we're already deep enough within the game just to not get anything in exchange and make shards somewhat more viable for people who have spent most of the time in the game.

Add accessibility settings for those people who need it the most, and proper graphical settings so we're not getting motion sickness out of the already implemented features that you do not allow us to remove normally within the game.

Make prestige something else than just rinse and repeat the levels back to 1-50, stop having a cap of BP in at 1.000.000 since there's no point for it, as there's nothing you can do with BP besides leveling.

And last but not least, if you're gonna have a battle pass, make it more appealing than just a lot of filler charms and recolors, I'm talking mostly about the free pass, we're paying this game to play, it's not a fair trade.

i'd rather have a new killer and let them think of idea's and implement them over time like with breakable walls. Knowing the devs when they rush things it turns out awful so the more time for them to think things through the better. I do agree with giving rank rewards and changing mori's and keys however i think prestige is fine.

I do wish that they didn't use the battle pass as a excuse of a event tho like last Halloween, even if it is unbalanced or weird like the lunar and old Halloween event with the plants it was still fun and enjoyable. so im sure im not the only one who thinks the devs should GIVE US SOMETHING ELSE BESIDES EXP FOR A BLOODY RIFT AS AN INCENTIVE TO PLAY DURING "EVENTS".

Well, that's bs. The rift was wanted by a large number of people. What they didn't want was for it to replace events instead of being in addition to them. I and a significant amount of the community enjoy the rift cause it actually gives you something interesting to work for (until you run out of challenges). The truly annoying part about them is that they have been used by an excuse to stop doing events and have so much down time once you complete them.

    That's what mid-chapters are for.

The mid-chapters don't add nearly anything that they could do otherwise.

It's clear that they don't want to make too many changes at once as there's so many things that are connected in all sorts of ways, so when it comes to changes to base design or balance I doubt we'll ever see an attempt at a big hail mary patch with all sorts of changes. Unexpected and undesirable effects might suddenly be discovered, and they can't always be caught on the PTB and tweaked to a better state in time.

Totally agree with stuff like accessibility settings, rank/devotion rewards, prestige and so on. Especially accessibility settings, even if colourblind mode or something ends up technically giving even those without colourblindness some sort of advantage it'll give the players with colourblindness way more for example.

They don't want to change their game because in their mind if it aint broke dont fix it. They currently make tens of millions of dollars a year on this game, why would they change it. They don't care that the game is unbalanced because why put effort time and money into something that is already profitable and you may make a change that negatively impacts profit.

There also seems to be an alarming lack of in house testing they do so that their game doesn't break when they make changes. In one of the maps they are testing for breakable walls, they very obviously made an infinite. Even just looking at it, a person with some ability to critically think would realize that the addition of a breakable wall would at the very least not change anything, then upon actual testing they could see that they just made an infinite and broke things more.

Now releasing things on the PTB would be ok in theory since the playerbase could test and break things for them. The problem here lies in them ignoring pretty much 99% of what the playerbase says in terms of balancing and map design and it takes months and even years of the playerbase constantly complaining for them to even attempt to do anything. If any issue is not incessantly complained about, it just doesn't get fixed. Take all the bugs associated with nurse, they reworked her but did absolutely nothing about all her bugs. This is also part of why so many things break when they add something to the game, because there are glaring issues with the game that are simply ignored and don't get fixed. So a problem that wasn't a huge problem becomes a huge dumpster fire and then is compounded with other problems when all they had to do is deal with that original problem to at the very least mitigate the damage done.

Because so far apparently in this game is all about the quantity and not about the depth of the game's design, it looks like a lot of stuff the first time you try it, then you notice how blank and empty the game feels after a while of playing, it adds nothing of interest and they are completely okay with that, it doesn't seem right to me when they could make the game much better and interesting instead of this traditional stuff we're used to.

They won't. That would mean less money.

That be a stupid decision on their part given chapters naturally give a boost to players and money. Especially when they do all these changes commonly in a mid-chapter patch. Realistically what would they do if they skipped it? Maybe another map rework which aye would be nice but we get those mid-chapters anyways, or giant map changes to change the game? Mid-chapter. Another objective would be fun, but what would it be? Everyone always suggests it but I can't think of anything that would be inherently balanced, which if it isn't prepare for a witch hunt against eachother even more.

Also what are you on about? Just because you don't like what's in the battle pass doesn't mean everyone agrees. The only issue I have with it is that there isn't a few more recolors tbh

Again everyone likes to talk about the battle pass, what's even the point of it rather than throwing money for mediocrity and even further grinding? I'm shocked people actually accept it as it is.

It offers you absolutely nothing new but the same cosmetics that they release on a really frequent manner, with a lot of recolors rather than something new and refreshing.

It gives the people who buy the pass absolutely no means of having an easier time grinding, they don't add any sort of extra challenges, not a single simple exp boost, absolutely nothing.

Are you people just playing like bots and enjoying it? Cause I fail to see anything appealing in it, it's the same story all over again but this time, you pay extra.

  • Neko_Cel
    Neko_Cel Member Posts: 4

What are you even in about? It gives new cosmetics some of which are the best on the game and aye, recolors of old which is perfectly fine. Which each one too you get tomes that are apart of it, which gives you a ######### ton of BP and grinding.

If you play the game consistently, it's basically giving you enough to get another outfit too. Given the cells you get back. So in what way do you pay extra here?

    Yes,i agree.

It would be incredible important to improve the games health (e.g dedicated server, optimization, fixing bugs etc.)

But i don't think they would ever do that.Instead we will have to wait a very long time to get these fixes/improvements.Very frustrating but nothing we can do about that :/

Well i don't see any problem with the battle pass at all. It's just as grindy like all the other battle passes in other games.

It gives you something to work on and rewards you with different cosmetics, blood points and auric cells you invested.

Sure, not every battle pass has cosmetics that you'll love but that's just how it is.

I agree that the challenges are often times quite boring but it's really hard to make good and fun challenges for this game without them being either too hard or too easy.

But the battle pass should definetely give you iridescent shards as well (Maybe also every level after you reached level 70 )

New game modes are already needed since at least 2 years. That's what this game needs the most.

  • ironiron
    ironiron Member Posts: 101

I agree. There should be more than running in circles and repairing generators. More objectives and killer-survivor interaction that actually take thought are needed. There definitely needs to be more strategy than "rush gens while killer is busy," and "run in circles." Keys and moris should be built into game objectives, and the progress of acquiring them should be able to be hindered by the opposing side.

There should also be clear wins and losses at the end of the game based on kills and escapes, with 2 being a draw. Survivors should clearly win and lose as a team – no more of all of this flawed bloodpoint calculations for calculating a rank that in result is meaningless and is more of a reflection of grinding out games. There's little meaning to the ranks. If you quickly destroy the competition, you're penalized and won't be sent to face better opponents. Ranks should mean something.

Tunneling shouldn't be necessary; rather, the team should share the losses from being hooked and the game should be balanced around this.

There shouldn't be superior versions of perks (rank 1,2,3). It would be better to gain customizable options for perks, rather than having plain superior versions. For instance, in the case of a killer, whether you'd like a perk to be in the form of a hex totem, to take over a dull totem after some trigger or duration, or if you'd like it plain and constant but weaker. The same goes with add-ons. Unlocking different versions to be used rather than superior versions would make the game more fun and customizable. Them disappearing after every use and their being of different calibers isn't good. As it is now, the game is inherently imbalanced every single match.

What are you even in about? Some of which are the best on the game I -highly- doubt it, and don't mind me, but I cannot take seriously someone who didn't think old freddy needed a desperate rework, you enjoy your nearly infinite grinding in such a repetitive and rage-inducing game you do you, good for you.

You should be getting -extra- auric cells by the way, that's something they could do but decided not to, surprise surprise, certain other does give you more and is also free to play while giving you skins and more stuff, can guess?

Rift is annoying, end of the line.

Battlepass was not necessary at all, it doesn't fit in a survival horror game. I also wouldn't mind them skipping a chapter in order to fix stuff. It just feels like they rush into stuff which causes more problems.
