On a somewhat more serious note, his teleport is just annoying. Oh hey he just hooked someone on the literal other side of the map, against any other killer I'd still have a good 10-15 seconds before I need to think about leaving and hiding. Not vs Freddie. If you're on a gen when he hooks someone, he'll be right all up on you in only a few seconds because of that teleport and BBQ/Thrilling. As a survivor, I don't like BBQ at the best of times because I like stealth game play. It is 100 times worse as a killer who can TP directly to the Gen I'm working on.

Old freddy was weak but unique. The 100 second gate open build was a favourite of mine. I was devastated when they made him. a generic chase killer and nerfed remember me.
The micro management aspect was also fun. Hes completely brainless bow. Just slap on pop and bbq and get a free 4 k

Because he is actually a strong killer who can end chases and has map pressure and people don't like that. Most people dislike killers that are very strong (freddy, spirit, billy, etc.) because they they break the typical meta and are fully capable of putting down strong teams.

Most Freddy players are boring to face. They run the same slow down build. Alot of the time camp or tunnel. Also his lunge always feels unfair. I know it's not. But it just looks off. Add in they're usually pretty sweaty and it becomes pretty unfun.
In short it's not really Freddy. It's the players that tend to use him. Obviously not all. But alot of them.

I will never enjoy playing against something that can easily break the one skill that the survivor has to learn. Loops shouldn't be able to be canceled as efficiently as it is with his snares. Any mechanics that make survivors fall faster will only make others want to rush up generators.

Personally (and I know this is going to rustle some jimmies) but I actually find playing against Nurse to be more boring than Freddy. So I don't think he's exactly the most annoying killer, but what I dislike about him is the fact that he can accomplish so much and doesn't feel like he really has a trade off for all his advantages. He just can kind of passively do a bunch of annoying stuff that doesn't take a lot of effort and it's only exacerbated by the fact that he's been given easily accessible general game slowdown add ons. Usually against Freddy I feel like I can at least do something so he's not my least favorite killer to go against, but I definitely notice these things that stick out, so I can understand why people might find him boring to play against.

I was an old Freddy main and I played both old and new Freddy at rank 1 (or rather I did up until early Feb, I stopped because I just found him so insanely easy to play it wasn't fun anymore).

I didn't say that everyone bullies killers. Others like bulling them and others looping them for 5 gens because they play a weak character. Just read that guy's post about playing nurse for the first time and getting bullied

I'll say this. If every player became top tier with Nurse, survivors would find her boring because games would go too fast..

He has old legion syndrome, where once you're in a chase with a snare Freddie, going down is just a matter of when, not if. If a Freddie just spams snares around a safe pallet, he eventually gets a hit by just holding M1, with little to no brainpower. The rest of his util is strong, but just the lack of counterplay when he spams snares is the thing that makes me hate Freddie the most.

I don't hate him. But i dislike him because of the frame drop. Many people can agree with me on this either if its 5-how many frame drops u get, it's the same like doctor. Theres just no good optimization in this game at the minute. I don't mind freddy as a survivor, but since I lose frames mid chase going into dream state it just bugs me.

I think a small nerf would be healthy for him as he has way to much pressure without doing anything. I think alarm clock spawn should be RNG or it should be more worth it to run across the map. Like if you use the alarm clock you won't fall asleep until he hits you. Snares should take more timing and skill to use, maybe they should slow him down a bit or he should be more limited in how many he can place in a short time period. Other than that I think he's ok. I don't mind his Gen teleport for example and I think it's a fair way to apply pressure. Dream pallets are also fine. Slowdown adding I think should be reworked into something less boring.

Ngl, when you look at bottom right-hand side corner, seeing all those debuffs piled up together is funny. I bet the match itself wasn't nowhere as enjoyable, though.

No chase should ever end on "IF" a killer WILL eventually get you, Freddy with his bloodpools just adds an extra obstacle. In the end he is still just an M1 killer.

For me he is kinda boring. 90% of the time it's snares, and usually it is a slowdown Freddy.

Technically, the fastest killer in the game is demo. He moves at 460% ms during shred. Billy with double engravings moves at ~300-320, i believe. Demo obviously can't cover as much ground as billy at that speed, but he's still technically much faster :)

Maybe this is just me, but I tend to like facing Freddy's.
I just don't like facing killers that can easily be chased around a loop, I want to outsmart the killer, not outrun them. Not because I want DBD to be a horror game (It's not), but because I want to play differently to the meta. Strong killers like Freddy, Nurse, and Spirit forces me to play differently when facing against them.
With Freddy, I have to try to stay awake when he is nearby. Keep mind of LOS Blockers to hide me from him when I am asleep, since he can very easily see you with the white outline if you are in his Dream World. Keep track of Fake Pallets if he brought those, disarm Snares when he isn't chasing me. He forces me to go out of my way to not do gens so I can make sure my teammates and myself are safer when he ends up chasing us. Because without his snares he is an M1 killer. The reason people dislike Clown is because he cannot shutdown loops effectively, which is what you can do with Freddy by disarming those snares in advanced when you're not in a chase. And I know from personal experience survivors can loop a killer for a couple of gens without getting hit once, and that includes killers like Freddy.
As for his teleportation, honestly I don't think it's as bad as people say it is. He only gets to use it intermittently and you can easily stealth him because the player won't know where survivors went and won't want to risk taking a long time looking around. Just break the generator (possibly with Pop) and leave. At least that's my experience with Freddy players, including my brother, who is a hardcore Freddy main ever since old Freddy.
I know it's a contrarian opinion but what is "Boring" for a lot of people is "Challenging and Fun" for me. Except Legion. Legion can just commit not exist.

He counters big map design BS and his snares slightly slow down survivors even though they can wake up and avoid them all together, survivors just choose not to.

Because even with the audio bugs that have been in the game for months and months you could play him without sound so is very effective in being a killer?

I say fastest in that end-to-end of the map speed since Pig's Dash and Demo's Shred are a temporary boost.

It's all good. I was aware of how much faster Dahs and Shred were, but they last for such a short time.
Still better abilities than the chainsaw. Better balance and more fun to use and go against.

It's not that he's "unfun" it's that he's outright overpowered. He needs like several million nerfs and I have no idea how he's managed to almost be around for a year and the most devs have done is make like a 2% adjustment to some add-ons. But they'll nerf survivors every update.
