Is there a particular reason this killer hasn't been nerfed? How many killer mains are going to defend the BS??

I get iri huntress once every 50 games lol so not really concerning

I've been working on Huntress to prestige 3 and once I hit level fifty, I unload all her best add ons and offerings. I was surprised survivors still straight up disconnect against Iri Heads. Even with the DC penalty.
It probably needs to be nerfed, but I would prefer it remained with restrictions like hitting beyond fifteen meters or something. If a penalty was added like this, then the hatchet reduction should be removed, too, though. Balance it out; not delete.

I'll stand up for it.
The only nerf it needs is a distance restriction to the one shot.
Say the size of her tr.
Yes I know the combos you can do with different perks. That would be fun but also not the bs of being right on your ass getting chased and she pulls.
Also a good deterrent for taking certain windows at distance to be animation locked.
I'll be on board with the removal of all stupid powerful killer add-ons after they remove keys and moris.

Dunno how good this would be... but iri head changed to where if you hit a survivor with a hatchet, you get a hatchet back. Miss it and you get nothing. Rewards you for being good and doesn't do anything if you're bad, and not overly OP in my opinion. Would have to see how it'd work ingame.

It's not that bad. Depending on the Huntress, If you know how to do time dodging right, you mostlikly wont get hit by it. Don't throw down pallets willy nilly, she might try to hit you when you throw down pallets.
It can be annoying to go up a good Huntress with that add-on. However, i dont see much of her or her using that add-on.

Only if the huntress is pretty good. And got a good map. And survivors are bad. Those 3 things are a must for a "free win"

By itself is fair... one hatchet, still need to hit the shot and reload after... every.... single.... shot
I'd say it would be better if it were unstackable with leather loop and infantry belt that's it
If it didn't stack... there'd be more huntress players using other addons (or by its self)...like deerskin gloves or hatchet windup speed or decreasing cool down time between hatchet throws (hatchet recovery speed)
Again it's not 100% accurate..... like I can't load into a match, look up throw hatchet and be rewarded with my first down

When queue times are longer than the DC penalty it's not going to have a great impact.

Why would you nerf Huntress. . . Iri head is fine as it is, just don't let it stack with Infantry Belt. Then she sticks with her one shot potential.

I think Iri heads are fine. The problems come from getting more hatchets at the same time with other add-ons. Rework those add-ons and she only gets one shot before she has to reload.

Iri Head+Infantry Belt is 3 hatchets.. not 1; and most killers will run Corrupt Intervention and today I saw an Iri Head Huntress running blood warden

You dont need to be "pretty good" to win with Iridescent Heads. I wrote it in another thread, but I tested this Add On once (and decided before to let the Survivors go, because I think this Add On is way too unfair), while I was learning Huntress. Before I got like a 2K at max, in my first 10 games as Huntress. The game I tried Iridescent Heads on would have been a 4K with 4 Gens left.
Iri Head is even better for me, because I dont need to hit that many Hatchets, and hitting 1 out of 3 is better than hitting 1 out of 5, when I dont use a Belt.
A mediocre to decent Huntress can already steamroll a Team with Iridescent Head, I dont want to imagine when a really good Huntress-Player is using this Add On.

I just find it kinda boring, just like most items/addons that boil down to "you just do the thing better". Toolboxes are boring because they just make a bar fill up faster, charge speed addons are boring because they just make you charge something faster. Say what you want about stuff like flashlights and a lot of Doc and Hag addons, they either make unique mechanics available or allow you to specialize your power in some direction instead.
Besides I feel at least some of the hatred is related to an association with an entire loadout or playstyle. Most Leatherface players I run into nowadays either run standard m1 builds or PWYF/Nemesis, but he still has that association with insidious camping. As anecdotal as it is, when I do run into iri heads it's disproportionately common that they're combined with an ebony mori and a playstyle that would be commonly considered unfun to face like hardcore mori tunneling and a general "playing for salt" feel to it - a sorta "I'm mad and taking it out on you guys" loadout and mindset.
Make it not stack with infantry belt and give it an innate reload speed bonus or something. A more serious "high risk high reward" design like that would at least be kinda interesting, and it would be hilarious to see lightspeed reload with that + deerskin gloves + iron maiden 😄

Iri. Head Nerf = yes, definitely.
Huntress Nerf, no. She, Myers, basic Billy and Oni seem like the best and most balanced Killers. High skill cap but powerful in the right hands.

Having 1 IRI isn't the problem. Your problem are 3 IRIs with infantry belts.
And still i see this very, very rare. And i can tell the combo is mostly used by more unexperienced huntresses.
I have like 300 IRIs and even more belts. Never use them because i know how OP they can get when a solid huntress is using them.
Now imagine what will happen if we know they're going to be nerfed soon...

The problem is everyone combos it with Infantry belt and get like 3 or 4 total hatchets with it. Don't know the exact number. If it didn't stack with those id be ok with it.

I agree anytime i've face iri head huntress shes loaded to the brim. Noed, bbq, devour hope, corrupt or ruin and ebony mori. Tends to proxy camp and tunnel the person on hook. Had one try that and the person jumped in a locker ds the huntress and 2 gens popped and the huntress rq.

I'm surprised survivors still complain about it as well after all this time. Funny thing is Iridescent Head and Infantry Belt are pretty common among bad to mediocre Huntress players. It's like the NoeD for this killer.

Actually yeah, that sort of build is strangely common. Builds with as many instadowns as possible, even ones that don't really make that much sense on Huntress normally (haunted grounds for example). At which point I guess it might just be some themed instadown build more than anything 😄

Killers like free wins. It's why they gravitated toward the role and have developed an entitlement for power. Free kills are apparently "scary" even though this game is already far from being "scary" even without the decent balance of power. Take Forever Freddy or Iri Head Huntress - they're not "scary", just boring.

Why hasn't Huntress Iri Heads gotten nerfed? Short answer boils down to 3ish things.
- It's the combo of Iri Head and Belt that is OP. Neither is OP on its own. That makes balancing it a bit trickier because you don't want to just dumpster either add on.
- How often do you actually run into a Huntress with Iri + Belt? Yeah it sucks when it happens but I'd guess not often.
- The Devs are busy dealing with issues that are much larger and more common. A lot of maps have a god window. You need to deal with Matchmaking literally every game.
I imagine that Iri head + belt will get fixed somehow at some point. But I also can't imagine that it is on the top of the priority list.

Honestly, It's one of her weakest addons
They should buff it to where when she throws it, it shatters into a spread shot. ... and change the model into a shotgun ;)
but I'm sure they know about it. Maybe they just haven't thought of anything to replace it with. I do wonder what they could add that would noticeably alter her power in an interesting way. Personally, I kind of do feel like the addon is really bad by itself. You'll get more out of 5 regular hatchets than a single instant down one. It's made dumb easy with the belt though.

I think it should just not stack with Infantry belt (or the other, I don't know its name tho), as having only 1 hatchet is a huge drawback that fits for the ability. it also means that if they miss, they either need to spend precious time getting another, or they need to M1. that seems fair IMO. whats not fair is getting three of them.

Yes because making a slow killer that broadcast her location at all times reload after every throw is fair hell no gens go to fast and survivors have to many second chance crutch perks juke better or deal with it no changes needed

Is this a way to "counter" an argument? The Survivors were Red Ranks, this does not indicate anything about the Skill, but according to the Ranking System they were skilled.
And the Map was Abattoir, with the God Window Open.
Iridescent Head is the most OP Add On. This cannot really be argued.

yes, but they get an insta down in exchange for losing the majority of their hatchets. and if you're gonna say "just juke better" i'm gonna tell you to "just pressure better" because both are absurd statements. it's like saying "just get good". your bias is showing heavily.

EZ fix: lock her hatchet count to one with Iri heads. Just prevent it from stacking with other addons like Hag's UR addons

Restrict the distance that actually lets you 1-shot with the hatchet and then it's balanced (20m or further). That's all that needs to be done. This'd be balanced because it's not particularly difficult to dodge a long rang hatchet like that, and the Huntress gets rewarded for having a good aim. Idk what some people are smoking in here, but most iri hatchet downs are from very close range, or point-blank which, unless you're going against a literal vegetable, you're not going to dodge. It's the one add-on that is objectively overpowered. You can make an argument for addons like tuning guide and scalped topknot but with iri head you really can't.

I had an iri Huntress last night. The match was about as much fun as a root canal. She made less than 20k because the chases were very short. She was very good with her hatchets, and someone that skilled with her hatchet throws doesn't need iri hatchets to win.

I think all she needs is to be nerfed down to 3 hatchets at base and the hitboxes should be smaller and more accurate. This would make her a lot less oppressive to play against.
