Swf penalty,debuff system

Since you cant take away their ability to communicate with each other how about a system that grants a debuff to any swf survivor depending on how many swf are in a party for example, for a full 4 swf party,a 20% penalty in every category,3(15%),2(10%).Note that this wont affect in any way a solo survivor, only the survivors in a party that are swf will receive the debuff.

This has been suggested many times. The problem is that it still does affect a solo if you have 3 people with a debuff and 1 without because they are essentially on the same side.

Lol, once again, imagine trying to stop or punish friends from playing together a game. Pathetic.

It will still give survivors the upper hand but it should make a difference in a good way. Also its not punishing friends, its punishing survivors ability to communicate with each other. You do know many players even if they're not friends, they just team up in swf to gain the ability to talk with each other, but yeah be oblivious if that's what you want.

I don't see how it gives any survivors the upper hand. Your not punishing their ability to communicate only the speed at which they complete actions which will punish solo's stuck with them.

The thing people want to punish is shared information between survivors with communication systems external to the game. Not playing with friends.

When in comms people is using external resources to their advantage that's why complains like this one exist.

That solution is not that effective. How about SWF that don't use comms? You punish them because ... nothing. That's unfair. There is people that share discord servers in lobby, how do you detect that people? They don't get the punishment for being in comms.

If devs have not done anything is because is not that easy.

People on each side have decent arguments.

I think the devs will just have to nerf survivors as a whole.

For example, updating all the maps to be more killer friendly is a nerf to all survivors.

At this point, it might be the best killer mains can hope for.

Nerfs are not the answer. Buff solo survivor to SWF level, and buff killers around SWF capabilities. Stop nerfing survivors because it creates more SWF play. I used to rarely run into 4 man teams, now they are the norm. Why? Ever survivor nerf hammers solo play while barely mitigating SWF. Enough with the nerfs. Time to buff 2 aspects of the game in order to create a balanced game around SWF.

This idea has been pitched so many times and it's honestly a dumb way to go about it to be honest. A better solution would be to try and bridge the gap between solo and SWF so that the game would then be easier to balance. With communication being the biggest boost SWF gives an example of a change to the game could be more player icons in the bottom left to indicate whatever that person is doing. Gens, totems, being chased, all that stuff. Slap some red over it when someone is injured. This would be a fairly big step towards bridging that gap.

its not really a punishment since playing SWF is basically getting a ton of perks for free, its just taking the massive SWF advanatge down a couple of pegs.

No thank you. I'd be kinda cheesed off if a game I bought for my husband & I to bond over started punishing us for playing together. He's not the best at this game either, because he's new to gaming in general.

    "Honey, which killer is it?"

    "The one with the mask."

    "...."

You get my point. I know this keeps getting brought up in other threads, but I don't think most SWF teams are actually SWAT teams. I mean, say this was actually implemented and I read in reviews before purchasing it that you shouldn't bother playing this game with friends because they detract from your experience some how. I know I wouldn't purchase it.
