is this still a thing? I have not been paying much attention as of late but some of the gens that I get looped around I swear I've regressed magically are up and running again.

    Yeah, survivors will generally tap the generator whenever it's been regressed to keep it from regressing further, so that's pretty normal. In regards to tapping to REPAIR it and not make noise, I have no idea. I don't do it in my games, and I generally check generators that have progress (even if I've recently damaged them), so.... no chance there!

    Tapping generators to progress them silently while a killer is close by definitely exists, I see it pretty frequently and do it myself. Tapping generators to avoid skillchecks? (like some did with old ruin) Haven't seen anyone do that, although maybe some do it for lullaby

    I've seen survivors do it after regression started or dater pop was applied to prevent further loss

    Hell I've done it mid-chase to stop regression on a much needed Gen (so we weren't 3gen'd)

    Ya I just do it when a killer is chasing another survivor nearby and I don't want him hearing me working on the generator
