Wiggle timer

I know im not only one that believes it take WAY TO LONG to wiggle out of a killers grasp. By the time im actually able to wiggle out, the killer is pretty much able to walk past 2-3 different hooks, all of which he can put you on. Wiggling out takes 15-20 seconds give or take, and the i strongly believe that both the distance between hooks, and the amount of hooks on every map doesn't justify how long it takes to wiggle out. Its completely unfair and pretty much defeats the purpose of the wiggle out mechanic

Nah. And especially with DS running rampant. Nah. And all the damn flashlights blinding during carry. Nah. And even with iron grasp I still deal with escapes. NAH.

You're not meant to escape the killers grasp, the feature is literally only there so you don't get taken to the basement every single time. You WILL NOT wiggle out unless an really good effort is put.

Main purpose of the wiggle mechanic is not for you to get off The killer's shoulder it's to stop the killer from being able to take you wherever the heck they want. For example taking you all the way to basement or bringing you to a perfect 3 gen strat

You're not meant to get off the killer shoulder without a save (Pallet,Flashlight,Locker) or a lot of intervention.

It's fine. Like others have said, you aren't meant to get a shoulder escape every match. It's just there to prevent the killer constantly getting advantageous hook locations.

You're not supposed to be able to wiggle out, not without a concentrated effort from your team. The wiggle timer mostly just exists to make sure killers cannot put you wherever they want to, i.e. basement.

the wiggle bar is made to keep you from being hooked in the basement all the time and to keep the killer from holding you hostage.

The wiggle is there so killers can't carry you around indefinitely, you're supposed to wiggle out maybe once in a hundred times when you have a team willing to throw themselves at the killer or perks to help alleviate the amount of time.

Well you can already deal with the killer and escape from them, with a pallet stun, which is why you will sometimes notice survivors going towards them. In hopes one of their team mates will slam the pallet on the killer. Flash lights, head on. That or body blocking the killer can work, depending on the perks the killer has and how close the hook is. If you were to shorten the time it takes to escape by wiggle. While at first it sounds like a simple minor change, when you think about other elements that exist in the game, it could effect the game massively and make certain things, like bodyblocking the killer even more effective. Yeah this would need alot of testing, if the wiggle timer were to be change. Which as other have pointed out, the main use of it, is to keep the killing from putting everyone in a place of their choosing, like the basement.

Which i myself, i think wiggle is fine as it is currently. Now it possible i could be wrong, but from playing a survivor and killer. It seems fine on both ends.

The devs are fully aware of this because it was something they purposely changed a long while ago - both the number/distance of hooks and the wiggle timer. It is effectively so that you cannot wiggle out without significant altruistic intervention from your teammates. This is entirely by design. So you should consider the wiggle mechanic pretty much irrelevant in the vast majority of cases.

The only reason a survivor CAN wiggle is so the killer cannot bring them to the basement every single time or so the killer cannot LITERALLY hold them hostage. It was never meant to be an escape mechanic but with teamwork or specific builds it can be made possible to escape via wiggle. I'm going to assume you are new to DBD (based on your forum account) but please take the time to learn about the game before blasting complaints into the forums.

You are not meant to reliably escape the killer's grasp by wiggling. Wiggling stops the killer from carrying you around forever, taking you across the entire map to the basement. In order to escape, you'll need something else. Someone will need to take a hit, sabotage a hook, or you'll need to be slugged with Flip Flop.
