The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

The Doctor needs an audio cue for when his Static Blast is ready
I love the Doctor, but after many games against him I came to the conclusion that Static Blast is too strong of an information ability to not have a clear tell for when it's ready, to allow some counterplay from the survivors.
Before the rework survivors could manage their madness levels and know when to enter a locker or when they were about to reveal their locations. Now it's all guesswork, which would be fine if survivors didn't have barely 2 seconds to find a locker or position themselves better, actions which require definetly more. It's all about having some counterplay.

Doesn't Doc have a very obvious static buzz when he is powering up his Static Blast?

his static blast has a range of about infinity meters, you cant hear it all around and its not a long enough warning. it should be like oni "ok he has enough blood now"
"ok doc has his static blast now, i can position smarter"

If the buzzing is heard, you have to fly like a bird.

Static Blast just needs to be removed altogether. Way too much benefit to the killer without any skill. Madness tier up and free detection of potentially all four survivors every 60 seconds or less. All he needed was the removal between treatment and punishment modes, which they did. Shock Therapy still overpowered as it is too.

Rather than remove something, why not just try to find a way to get away from it? If you know it has been roughly 60 seconds since the last time he used Static Blast, you should get the heck away from his TR.

I mean, that is my complaint about doc, that there is no cue for survivors within his radius. It should be subtle but able to be heard... but right now, you can only hear it if you are close, and usually it is too late.

Honestly this game would be sucked dry of any fun if every one of these posts was taken overly serious...the killers job is to stop you..not to mildly inconvenience you..jeez

So having counterplay removes fun? Didn't know that, thanks for letting me know.

I'm sorry, but if you struggle against one of the weakest killers in the game, there's only one solution...

Maybe yes, but he does have a very audible cue of when he's activating it.
However, it almost always too quick to actually make it to a locker.
For now I just suggest keeping the timing in mind, ready for it; works for me.

I guess the devs won't do that anyway.
Sure you could implement that feature, but i think it would take away a bit of the skill of the survivors if they would do it.
Being aware of when the doctor used his static blast the last time and therefore knowing if he can use it again or not and then position yourself accordingly should be the mindset.
Powers like Onis for example need a audio cue considering how strong of an ability it is.Static Blast however is merely a tracking tool that should only be used if you know that there is a survivor nearby or else you will waste your power and be punished with a very long cooldown.
If you,as a survivor, know that the static blast will hit and reveal you then you should already look out for nearby pallets and windows.

Just be aware of when was the last time he used his Static Blast so you can be prepared to jump in a locker or run. Sometimes reaching a new Madness tier is the best option, especially if there's multiple Survivors in the area.

people that call doc OP are always the ones crouching around all game with urban evasion and camping pallets lol

The radius itself is a cue. it literally tells yout the killer is near with no effort.
What you should be asking is whether the TR is reasonable to begin with. all killers have it as an innate weakness, informing the survivors the killer is near without effort or input from the survivor. they have a zero effort psychic ability at all times. and even the killers who are able to mitigate this a little bit can only do so with significant consequences.
If anything, the TR should be changed so it's only something the survivors can sense if they stop and use some kind of channeling ability or something, based on your standards of wanting input and effort.

That isn't the problem, the problem is you do not know when the Doc is channeling his blast. It is way too easy to use because there is no cue unless you are close to him before the shock goes off.
I like the idea about the TR though. Like being oblivious unless you want to actively listen for it.

Lol considering he has the very simple counterplay of say..staying out of his tr oh and lockers, oh and calm spirit..I'd say you should do a tad more research before you speak..some of us are kind of experianced

I'm a 50/50 player with 3000+ hours. I'm just not biased and want the game to be more fair and healthy for everyone, but I understand on these forums this might sound insane.

Calling Doc one of the weakest Killers in the game is so much wrong as it can be. Unless you are playing him like usual, just camping Hooks and BMing Survivors. Then it might be true, for you.
The thing is, knowing that it is 60 seconds since he used his Static Blast will not really protect, because it is not really possible to stay out of his Terror Radius all the time. This would obviously be the case with the idea mentioned by OP, because the problem would stay the same, you just know that the Static Blast would be ready at some point.
The main issue is that it is nearly impossible to get away, when he is starting to charge it, except you get really lucky with a locker right next to you or you are really at the edge of his Terror Radius (but I also got hit by it without hearing the TR, I pretty much was in it, but I could not hear it... Probably because he has a unique Terror Radius, but I dont know).
But I would not know how to fix it, because a longer Windup is not really a solution, it is already pretty long. Overall I like the Static Blast more than his passive ability, because it at least gives feedback to inexperienced Survivors, why they are screaming. But I totally can relate to the issues of getting away when he is using it.

He's literally just a M1 killer with a big terror radius and a tracking tool that only occasionally works.
He's #########. There's not a single thing he can do that other killers can't do better.
Maybe you find him strong because you play against boosted rank 21 survivors.

You conveniently left out that he can prevent pallet looping and vaulting. And he has a bounty of tracking besides Static Blast, what are you talking about? The illusions, the madness tier 3 screaming...

The doc is terrible at this state take it from a level 50 prestiged, the speed reduction on his shock therapy needs you to be really lucky or wait for a mistake from a survivor to win a loop, he is VERY add-on dependent especially in those red ranks you must have a range add-on and an at least green rarity book.
The only thing he excels at is tracking survivors but if they know how to loop well his shock therapy only makes him worse in chases, just try to avoid other survivors and mainly spread out when playing him, he is in no need of a nerf in the state he's in rather a small buff to his shock therapy.
