Let's talk NOED
Bruh all i see everytime I'm scrolling thru the discussion list is "rework noed" "take noed out", "noed takes no skill" and "noed needs a nerf". I'm just sitting here like " ππππππππ ". I wanna sit here like everybody else and say "do bones" but no even tho its true you should but nowadays survivors just wanna gen rush and get mad when they get NOED. Sometimes NOED itsnt even used for bad killers its basically a backup plan for some killers even good killers use it. Its not hard to do gens anymore am average chase can get at least 2 and a half gens done depending on the survivor. Plus i hate when survivors say it takes no skill to use adrenaline u dont even have to be the one that finishes a gen to get full HP also can sit on a hook to get full HP so stop with the no skill crap. Surviors got all the crutch perks, second chances perks they need. Killer has a easy destroyable perk people flip. I'm finna have a butch of survivor mains comment on this being salty idgf I'm voicing my opinion. Its usually the gen rushers that complain about NOED but the people who do bones don't give AF.

Am I the only one who cannot, absolutely cannot stand the phrase
"Do Bones."
It makes me cringe worse than "Boop the snoot."
8 -
I regularly do 2-4 bones and I'M the one who gets hit by it. My bitching is justified.
14 -
You'd think with how common NOED is right now people would counter it by breaking the totems.
10 -
I think that they should add a perk other than small game or a map add-on or somethingΒ to help find dull totems to make it a bit easier to deal with NOED but it shouldn't be too strong so its still fair for killers

No One Escapes Death is in a good spot.
1 -
you missed the thread where people were arguing which female survivor is the prettiest, that was really cringe
3 -
Honestly tho but people don't know there lesson they just gonna complain at end game lol
1 -
Not really as long as u don't take it out on the killer that's your team fault
1 -
Detective's hunch...and small game is more than fine for finding totems. I can find them all within a couple of minutes.
0 -
i mean... he's not wrong
0 -
Its really don't be tho half the time totems spawn in dumb stupid locations like right next to gens, open as heck spot, killer shack, or even on the tracker that everybody loops like that was a good spot. Hell I forgot in the middle of the corn field.

The phrase
I'm okay with doing totems, but that phrase makes me IIIRRK.

Red rank survivor main, and obvious survivor advocate (π), and I agree. NOED feelsbadman, but there's not really anything wrong with the perk. It is counterable. And there are ######### situations that make countering it less possible without additional survivor loss, but alas, it be like that sometimes. There are far worse aspects of the game I'd like addressed. Especially considering how whiney killers are about their precious Ruin. At least 50% of my opinion that NOED is fine is literally just not wanting to hear Killer mains cry about it constantly in these forums. π

Thatβs a meme. But agood way to say βgit gutβ to noed complainers.

For real tho and when I play, I play survivor mainly. I like noed as a survivor. Maybe because I actually like to βdo bonesβπ€£π€£ ion know. Iβm not even that good either or at least around these times. Donβt play much but when I do, I do break totems. I bought, I think, the stranger things chapter for inner strength.
I too, get tired of seeing complaints about noed. Just break those totems
1 -
You're funny.
2 -
Another person who doesn't know the real counter to NOED, good on you for making Killer easier for yourself I guess...

I don't take it out on anyone. I have my moment of "OF EFFING COURSE THEY'RE RUNNING NOED" and how my team are idiots, die as a result of this garbage perk, and move on to the next game.
There is an easy solution to all of this though: Make it give the Exposed notice when Endgame triggers, AND make it only come into effect when all 5 generators are powered. This brings it more in line with more of the perks, and less frustrating to go against. Considering it is a basic perk, and not a teachable, there is NO reason why the perk should have that much power, especially since it's activation requirement is basically "be losing".
As far as I know, there are currently two effects that hide the Exposed status: NoED and Devour Hope. One of which requires work, is a teachable, and only has one "active" totem.

MYC, HG, Myers

Same. I do bones before starting gens. Some survivors just do gens and don't bother with the totem 2 feet from them. Somehow, I can break 3 totems and still get clapped by NOED.
0 -
Boop the Bones then.
0 -
Blame your team for not helping. This isn't an "every man for himself" game, and if you play like that you'll be punished.
0 -
Make Your Choice notifies on the unhook, Haunted Ground notifies as soon as the totem is broken, Myers Tier-III shows as soon as it's entered, GF mark is shown as soon as the stalk is complete, Iron Maiden shows as soon as you leave the locker, Red-head's Pinky Finger shows up as soon as the bottle collides with you, I don't know about Rancor since whenever I go against it, I'm either not the Obsession or die before endgame.

Would just like to add, that the minute you know the killer is a Myers. You know tier 3 is going to happen sooner or later. {unless it's a certain special build.] While you can also deny it to him as long as possible, by trying to break line of slight. So the killer being Myers, is also a warning, you are going have to deal with a expose effect sometime during this match. That and when Myers goes from tier one to two, you can hear the music. Giving away it's a Myers. Unless someone has never played against a Myers before, you are normally given a fair bit of advance warning, before tier three happens. Why you might not have any idea, when tier three will happen. You know it's going to happen sooner or later and you better be ready for it.
Which as for Rancor. Yes, you are marked with a expose effect, after the last gen is done. Which here is a video from puppers, showing it in effect. So Rancor and Myers would be the same, in terms of getting an advance warning and mark with expose effect when it triggers. https://youtu.be/YuAC5t2ZCuM?t=325

Point was with Myers that as soon as he enters Tier-III, the Exposed notice happens. I was just pointing out how almost every Exposed effect has an instant warning. Probably my biggest hatred of NoED.
2 -
But if they nerf ds or adrenaline u would be one of the survivor mains crying u r probably one of them survivor mains crying about map changes.
0 -
There is a reason y it was basically supposed to counter adrenaline you know that one perk that makes u the flash, full HP of hook, get off the ground for free and still be the flash and there is no counter to that unless your an insta down character/add on or you have NOED.
0 -
Cuz they wanna gen rush so bad
0 -
Nobody wants survivors to just camp or crouch walk around the map at end game because they got that NOED notification they do anything but walk around the map hiding till they find it.
0 -
Understood. Of course i believe the context i brought up does strengthen your point. Of other effects giving more of a warning, sometimes way in advance.

'Break Totems.'
1 -
Then open the gate and apply pressure through that.
Or run another perk.
There is no excuse in 2020 to hide behind bad perk design and say "Buh the other side".
0 -
Even though i almost never use NOED what youΒ΄re saying is just truth in and out. No doubt in that. Your just like me, same opinions. Also all survivor mains discourage non-meta perks. So no doubt they are complaining. Why not use small game? Oh yea it is "A bAd pErK" F*ck of seriously. They complain even tho they have so many second chance perks. Good opinion good sir.
Have a nice day. #StayHome

Y would I open the gate only so they can go to the other gate. That's dumb and what do u mean "bug the other side" and there is no excuse to not do bones in 2020 and hide behind chat crying because of noed.
0 -
Do you not understand I just advocated for NOED? And you're still being an ######### to me??? π Typical Killer. Toxic. Always.
0 -
Imagine killer being toxic when it be the survivors up in killers dms or end game chat but ok buddy you do u girl ππ
0 -
Plus I didn't say anything about u talking about noed that was fine I was making a point about u talking about killers crying.
0 -
Its a bad perk to survivor cuz it doesn't help them get off hook, help in chase, help in gens, help get off killer arm, or help be toxic but it can help when there ruin or sum other hex perk. But thx good sir u also have a nice day.
1 -
True. They need sec. chance perks.
0 -
For starters, I'm PC - cant get up in anyone's DMs. Secondly, killers typically get toxic post-game chat because they were toxic in-game. And Killers can definitely be toxic in post-game, just like survivors can be spicy for no reason. So your point is pretty moot.
And they have nerfed plenty of survivor perks, items, addons and environmental resources. Killers still seem far superior in the cry baby department, especially about their one perk nerf in like the last 12 months. π You cannot blame me for not wanting to hear the backlash from touching NOED. You know it would be brutal. π

You open the gate to force the hand of survivors. I said don't pull the "buh survivors" thing because killer and survivor are two completely separate games. In my opening comment on this thread, and one I say in many others is that I do an average 2-4 bones per match, by myself, without Small Game or Detective's Hunch.
I go against NoED because it is bad perk design. I have also highlighted how to fix it.
And what chat? I play on Xbox and manage to do just fine WITHOUT NoED.
If you can come up with a better solution, than I have or a better excuse than "But Adrenaline/Gen-rush/do bones", then please, let me know now. Otherwise stop wasting my time by defending serious and core issues.
0 -
Yes killers can be toxic but just like said survivors was probably being toxic in game which usually is. You could 4k and receive toxic messages or u could lose u would still receive toxic messages. I didn't say killers was that toxic cuz it mostly 9/10 be the survivors crying at end game chat. The reason survivors have been getting nerfed because they had everything going for them I'm many departments of the game.

LMAO link please?
0 -
First of all you came onto my post nobody told u to so if anything your wasting my time your complaining about a totem perk that really isn't the core issue with dbd. The devs even made perks to encourage surviors to do bones but naw instead of doing that your crying about noed. Maybe take your adrenaline to or unbreakable off and put on small game. Also how tf am I supposed to know what u play on. Find some real "core issues" with the game cuz totems perks ain't it.

I cringe whenever I hear, camper, tunneler, tunneled, soft camp, hard camp, proxy camp, toxic killer, light tunnel, hard tunnel, baby killer, and any other survivor created buzzword in this game to try to downplay their loss lmao
0 -
The problem with NoED is that it rewards the lazy killer who camps their first hook, and then 4k's because the exit gates spawned next to each other and the survivors had to "Just do gens!" because the killer was camping, and to punish a camping killer--you "Just do gens".
I don't think NoED needs a strong nerf, but like DS it's in need of a slight nerf. One that makes it a little more bearable for the other side.
0 -
I feel like No One Escapes Death is in a decent spot, it counters genrushing and encourages survivors to explore the map to find totems. I believe any perk that encourages fun gameplay should be stronger than the typical perk, such as DS (discourages tunneling).
However, I'm not going to pretend the perk is perfect, people that do bones can be hit by it and solos are at a disadvantage trying to deactivate the perk. If I were to do something about these problems, I can't think were to start because most problems are related to the gap SWFs have against solos.
A totem counter would be nice, but it would make other hex perks weak. Perhaps we could increase the strength of hex perks while giving a totem counter to all survivors? I seen people suggest a perk, but why use a perk when play with your friends and use that perk slot for something else?

Survivors complained about ruin. Ruin got destroyed and with it the early game. Devs even said expect to lose 40 to 60 percent of survivor objectives in first couple minutes. So that leaves midgame (new early game) and end game. NOED has potential to be the deadliest endgame perk. The drawback is survivors can make it not work. At all.
There is nothing wrong with NOED except as usual, players in this game don't want to adapt to changing circumstances.
0 -
Agreed, I think Rancor lets you know but NOED doesn't lol
