Ghostface and an archive
Will there be a tome dedicated to ghostface?
I understand that ghostface is a liscienced character.... but he is also an original character...
Would you all welcome a ghostface tome if it could be done?

I personally hope so. They’ll probably have difficulty with getting the license to agree to it but I want it to happen. Ghostface has the best cosmetics in the game.

No they have stated that they will never do a tome for surrvivors/killers that you cant get with shards so. Nightmare dlc,ghost face dlc, halloween dlc,bubba dlc,saw dlc,stranger things are all chapters that will never get a tome dedicated to them or their perks.

This is not entirely true. Peanits wrote in one Post that IF there is a Tome about a licensed Character, you will not need the Character itself. So it would be possible to do a Tome about Ghostface and use his Perks for it (via the Shrine, like they did with previous Tomes), but there will be no Challenge where you need to play Ghostface.
Of course this might have changed since he wrote that. But also, I am not sure if it would be possible to develop Lore for Licensed Characters, since they already have their Lore. And given them a different Lore might be problematic with the Holders.

What i stated is (probally) outdated but it would be extremly difficult to do as they already have their own lore and so making new ones would most likely have to be non-canon and they would also need a new licence to change stuff about the character (e.x lore,outfits etc.) .

Yeah, I would guess that the possibility to have a Licensed Character in the Tome is very, very low. But it is not entirely impossible, but I would expect it to not happen at any point.

The license was only for the mask... the lore was all original so it could be done

If ANY licensed character was to get a Tome, it would likely be Danny "Ghost Face" Johnson. The people behind the license have clearly shown their willingness to cooperate with BHVR for skins, so there's that settled. Danny is also an original character, so they can come up with anything they want.
After that, I'd say the Stranger Things and Saw characters would be next most likely, given, again, Netflix's willingness to work with BHVR and the Saw skins that we got somewhat recently. Same goes for Ash, though he hasn't gotten that many skins compared to the others.
Not sure if Halloween, NoES, Bill or Leatherface would happen, given how limited they are all around.
However, like was said previously, if they do get Archives, they'll do it in a way that won't force you to buy those characters (probably just a lot of perk-based challenges).

This is what I have him recorded as having said - he might have said something else in a different comment, but from this it definitely looks like he's saying there are no plans to have Tomes featuring licensed characters.

What I am referring to was something like "If we ever make a Tome about a licensed Character, you will not need the Character". Something like that.

Btw, as the license is only for the mask, and Ghostface has a completely original lore, woukd be very cool to do his tome about the time he started murdering untill he finally usrs his iconic Ghostface suit by the end of it.
