Billy is next
With smaller maps, Billy is going to be too easy to play. Expect a cool down or slower sprinting speed. Or a limit on how far he can go. Or all 3.
Just guessing. What do you all think?

Let them surprise us. They'll probably change something, but maybe it won't be a clear Nerf. A cool down on his chainsaw is actually what I expect, but they can't just put in such a mechanism and leave the rest the same. Then he'd be a terrible killer.

Billy is a tough one. Right now he's perfectly balanced (even on smaller maps) without any addons, but as soon as you slap anything on (aside from mangled, chainsaw reach, speed limiter, noise addons), he becomes extremely strong. Therefore the question is, how do you balance him fairly.
- one way to go is to completely rework his addons, so they don't grant him a power boost, but instead force you to change your playstyle. For example, like the noise add-ons, which don't give him a straight up buff, but unlock plays that you wouldnt be able to pull off otherwise
- another way to go is to nerf his power, so that you can achieve the same level of effectiveness that it currently has once you equip your add-ons. I would personally be against this method, as I don't like to use add-ons on any of my killers

I really don't think Billy should be nerfed, even with the smaller maps.
He has a lot of map mobility going for him but aside from that you can loop him like most killers. The best way to keep him busy is around a pallet or a loop where he cannot rev up his chainsaw all the way.
Though I still prefer to go against Spirit over Billy though.

What would fix HillBilly is fixing the hit-box problem that exists in general. The one where you vault a window and the Killer still hits you 2 metres away.

Sometimes your chainsaw also stops all of a sudden even though you would've clearly hit them. It works both ways.
On topic, to me all he needs is an add on rework.

Considering he's missing Ultra rare add-ons; Billy along with Bubba must be up for a look soon.
Although, I can't hit a saw to save my life, so hope that any nerfs won't be too debilitating!

They did it with Nurse alongside with forking up all her add-ons and making only the anti-cooldown ones viable. Expect Billy to be forced to refuel at the nearest Mol station after every 20 seconds of sprinting.

Billy isn't overpowered on a small map like coal tower, nor is he too easy to play on that map. He'll basically be the same as he ever was, just better on the maps that were bad for every killer like coldwind and red forest.

Personally I think Billy sets the standard. He's powerful yet at the same time people who know how to play can loop him. Even if they know how to loop him they are afraid of that chainsaw. That's what I think all killers should be. Fear invoking and not to be taken lightly.
Knowing these devs they probably will nerf Billy but considering the survivor/killer ratio. They are probably not going to do that anytime soon or not without reworking something survivor sided. By rework I mean make it appear like a nerf but is actually a buff. Then it will also be coupled with a shadow nerf to something killer sided.

Hopefully. Too much going for him and requires the least amount of skill among all the top tier killers.

Stop with the same story "Billy is perfectly balanced" because others said the same. No, he isn't. You can loop billy into another galaxy.

What could work is a 5 second sprint with a 15 second cooldown. Like Spirit in that way. But in the other hand I don't think he needs nerf at all, only Add-On changes like people said.
Instasaw shouldn't exist and some Add-Ons are nearly useless or not really good. He is outdated like Nurse was but tbh, they could've done a better job at Nurses rework by just increasing her fatigue time and making her look straight down during her fatigue so people who get nausea won't be affected because of her head tiliting.
Billy needs the Vegetable Oil be basekit and a complete Add-On rework and he would be pretty fine.

As a former Billy main, now Oni, there are 3 things that make him broken:
- Some of his add-ons, especially in combo.
- Infectious Freight. It's become meta because on Billy this can end games faster than the sweatiest genrush and some 'content creators' popularized this playstyle just for the sake of being annoying to others.
- Bamboozle. This makes gameplay very stale, i.e. burning through pallets mindlessly with minimal interaction.
Eliminate those and he's a very interactive killer. We know the devs are going to touch the first point, but I would have no idea how to fix the last two.

Not if the person playing him is good. Otherwise you could say the same about any killer in the game. You can loop a potato into another galaxy regardless of the killer they're playing.

Based on the cooldown trend I'm guessing he'll have a limited sprint meter that refills over time, and can't be used unless fully charged.
If he gets Nurse level treatment expect it to be based on distance, time, and if he hits a survivor. Wouldn't want him to be able to use his power more than once a minute that's for sure.

They could do so many things to take the cheapness out of this game like fix iri huntress, make it so that hag can't put traps in the basement, etc. I don't know why they don't do it

Freedy too... 10 Dream Pallets is a lot.

Just because those Perks might be very strong on Billy doesn't mean they need to be gutted for other Killers as well.

That's less hitbox problem more dedicated servers/latency because of killer side hit detection. If it hits on killer side, it hits regardless. Even if on your end you've taken 3 steps.

Yeah this is the case. Also, not many people may know, but the engraving add ons (Increasing chainsaw sprinting speed) make his killzone larger (i think having to do with being tied with the movement speed) so some of his add-ons are like Nurse in regards that bloat his power which is already kind of tipped of the strong side of the scale of balance.
The best course of action would to rework his add-ons however they see fit but leave his basekit unchanged and let the map changes settle in and see how he does. I don't think adding a cooldown to his chainsaw is ideal because he is fairly countered when he isn't using things like Carbteur tuning guide.

I never suggested to that, that's why I said I don't know how that could be balanced.

Why'd he suddenly become "OP, plz nerf" , just because the bigger maps in the game get slightly changed? How much do they get reduced in size anyways?

Huntress should just throw multiple hatchets simultaneously when she has iri.
Basement needs a variable on some maps where it has multiple entrances or exits. It's really one dimensional right now.
And Billy is the only killer who can snipe people at spawn. He deserves some sort of ramp up mechanic at least at the beginning.

Please list something anything survivor related that requires skill so tired of survivors always trying to nerf anything killer related because of skill when nothing they do requires skills neft ds and bt they require no skill

I never said OP. Just that making maps smaller will make him more of a threat. (Not in those words but that was my meaning)
The rest is theorizing on changes. Devs have alrrady said the chainsaw brothers are on the chopping block.

Maybe the devs wont listen to baby survivor, wich is unlikely to happen :(

Why would they ever nerf billy? A more balanced killer than anything I've ever played against.

Not like i haven't played against billy on smaller maps. He's got mobility but his power is actually has good play around it for both survivors and the billy. It's very tough for one to get a good chainsaw hit and when they happen the billy definitely deserved it so I can never knock him for having landed it. Absolutely nothing about billy has ever struck me as too strong. A lot of counter play and he's pretty telegraphed.
