This is a serious situation now!
Every day I come onto Xbox and play dbd until one of my friends had told me he was in a game with 2 hackers bullying the killer, how is this happening and can the devs put a stop to this? Or is this out of they’re control? I went onto the dbd club just to see excessive amounts of posts of people in game with hackers, and I don’t wanna go up against one as killer, and this situation is already enough to handle and will this become a normal thing now? Like do the devs not know or are not aware of the situation? I hope that the devs will NEVER and I repeat never open up cross play due to these matters.
Has anyone else had this issue?

I have never seen a hacker on PS4.
I have seen many glitches. Once my friend had balanced, jumped off the rock, and kept his 150% speed for most of the game. It was hilarious he was zooming all over, a wraith just keep chasing him.
I'm sure he thought we were hacking, but just a weird glitch.

That’s funny but I don’t see why someone would ever think that’s hacking, that’s a sprint burst glitch cause it’s happened to me and someone I’ve seen play before, and we’re on Xbox so it’s obviously you can’t hack on there.

Yeah, I just assumed he may have thought that. He never messaged me back after my gg. But is was so funny to see.

1 thing I’m confused about is why now? Why now are we seeing these hacker? They were never here before, or at least I haven’t seen 1 before.

I've had hackers on PC, and if I'm being honest I wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't been keeping track of their perks. They are getting so good at hiding their cheating it's insane. I had a Claudette, who had been (what I thought was fairly) kicking my butt all game, fail to get a flashlight save. She waited way too long, SB'd away as I dropped her teammate (I could tell, she gained much more distance than normal and still had a teeny bit of speed burst as I looked at her AND had already used SB earlier in the match). Then, as I caught up and swung at her, DH'd away and made me hit a tree. DH animation and everything. I just (clearly) wasn't expecting it. In the post game lobby, she had NO EXHAUSTION PERKS. Looking back, I'm pretty sure she just had wallhacks because she didn't fall for a single blocked-LOS mindgame but kept making rookie mistakes, like trying to get a flashlight save by aiming at my ear and dropping a pallet only to vault right into my hit.
This is just one of a VERY small handful of weird hacking scenarios I've had, but it's the one that stood out as the most missable. If I hadn't been paying attention, I would have thought she just outplayed me. It makes me wonder how many people have been so good at hiding cheats that I've just gg'd in the post-game and never even noticed.

Mainly due to dedicated servers. Now rather than having to connect directly to a killer on console, which would require a console aswell as hacking it to be able to find where the killer is, you instead just can switch from PC dedicated servers to Console dedicated servers as they're based in the exact same location.

So let’s say if the devs were to fix or remove dedicated servers we wouldn’t see these hackers on console no more? I don’t want the dedicated servers removed especially cause my games have been really smooth with no hit box failures, I just can’t bare the thought of me dealing with this as both killer and survivor.

Why cant fun things like that happen to me.

Yes, if dedicated servers were removed, we wouldn't see hackers on console, which I don't want either as the game is much smoother than it was prior for me.

I wasn’t here much for the dedicated servers before, you know the one that had really bad hit boxes and people were complaining, were hackers able to go onto those dedicated servers?

You see, that's back when dedicated servers were new-ish on all platforms, however now that they've been out for a while on all platforms, people have cracked it.
Also many hackers go onto console servers because of less streamers/youtubers aswell as in the past it was impossible to cheat on console, which many people would still believe.

I had it happen to me once, all I did was run around the map laughing, did 1 unhook and then at the end of the match I gave him the kill as it was unfair that I had this speed boost. The killer reported me for hacking and claimed I was abusing it???? One unhook that the killer was nowhere near is classed as abusing it????? Before handing him a kill.

Yeah but it’s unfair that they are picking on the console players, they can’t hack not that they’d want to. They’re not as experienced and as good as pc players, and console I find more difficult to play on then pc or mobile mainly because of the way others play and act (toxic, slugging, dc, and harsh looping)

Its an exploit?Feature?Bug? Between PC steam and XBOX so PS4 isn't affected. However this raises alarming issues towards the implementation of cross-platform and the prominent PC hacker scene.

From my understanding it has something to do with Steam and XBOX (possibly something involving cross-platform code that got dug up, truly just baseless speculation) that has allowed PC players to connect with XBOX players (PS4 is NOT affected).

All I can think is how do hackers find this fun? To cheat and waste others time and ruining they’re experience? Cause this is all bull to me and just stupid and I really want it to be fixed, damn you know I thought that the new dedicated servers and the 3.7.0 update were gonna be the health of the game but it seems like these hackers are gonna kill it and make the killer/survivor experience not fun.

Imo they should stick to pc and not go messing up servers for other players

Pretty sure its a "simple" case of a power trip or "God complex". By cheating in such a way that they dictate what happens and when, they can boost their own feeling of superiority while diminishing that of others.

my friend had a game with 2 fengs and they have unlimited flashlight use and when pointing the flashlight at the killer it instantly blinds them and they walk backwards like 100% more faster then usual and they were exploiting the game by running 10 feet up in the darn sky and whenever you hooked them they never went to struggle phase and every time they escape the hook they just get instantly healed, also weird thing I saw in my friends clip that when the 2 hackers both escaped the end game timer ran out instantly letting the remaining 2 just die instantly, which is really unfair and unfair in general.
