Stop whining like 2 year olds
Like cmon people on these forums act like 2 year old bitching about the other side or complaining about how an update isn’t exactly how you want it. Like just shut it with “the game is to killer oriented” or vice versa. Like stop whining, all the Updates devs had made are for the health of the game and if you can’t stand that your side isn’t going to be completely op then you definitely need to find a new game to play.
People whining ain’t going to help and for all those mains out there, maybe try playing the other side for once and get a new more realistic perspective.
Don’t go whining about things like the NOED, tunnelling, DS or SWFs just play to be the difference don’t add on to the millions of ######### problems the devs have by squabbling every day about the game being how you don’t want it

ALL the updates are healthy for the game? I can think of some patches they reverted or released another patch to try to undo the previous. I get your point people complain too much but lets not pretend these devs know their own game.

Every patch has good intentions that are supposed to have game balancing properties, the reason they are undone is because something goes wrong

I forget its name but there was a patch that made it super easy to stun a killer in pick up animation with a pallet or flashlight. It was virtually impossible to pick up a survivor unless there was no one else around. It was probably the worst patch ever released but thankfully they reverted it shortly after. The scary part is it was the people who made this game that thought it was a good idea. Tyde said it best. "They've done some questionable things in the past but after this. Now i KNOW they dont know what they're doing".

Probably a bug, those things happen

No. It wasnt. It was deliberate. They made announcements on the dev stream that this was to be a QoL update. They said "were going to change this" and people said thats a bad idea. Just proved they dont play their own game.
Lets not forget old MoM. Anyone with 500 hours into both sides could have told them how that was going to go down.
Plus when freddy first released they nerfed him despite being the weakest killer at the time.
Not to go off topic because people do complain too much but i wanted to point out not everything the devs have done has been good for the game.

Wasn't that during lunar event cause i strangely remember the instant blind.

I'm not going to say that all complaining is valid because there are definitely some people in here with some wild ideas, but this kind of is the place to discuss the game, unless you want to argue about it on Twitter or something. I just don't understand when people say to "stop complaining" when the forums for this very game is exactly the kind of place I would want to complain about something I'm unhappy with in the game. Am I wrong about that?

I couldn't agree more, instead of complaining people need to be constructive, complaining wont solve anything.

I think the problem was that the Devs never had a clear vision for the game when they first came out with it. Then it exploded to be a bigger monster than they expected and find that it would be too difficult to change things that were a part of the game since the beginning.

Once Freddy is nerfed into oblivion I'll stop whining. Thanks.

After his horrible release, he's earned his rework. F tier was named after him lol

Take my upvote.

I do think his rework was a bit...erm...over the top?

Not really. I find him viable but not powerful like the top 4. He doesn't have to hit someone with his power and wait 7 seconds to hit them. His teleport gives him some much needed map pressure. Definitely an improvement over the initial product.

This patch is made only to bring the killer player base back after the major exodus after the Ruin nerf.
Nothing more. It's not for balance. It's not because they value one side over the other.
They messed up and an easier fix would have to just reverted the Ruin nerf back but instead....
We get this.

This is so true. People are too busy crying about the game and how they want it to be that they don't realize that DbD is actually a pretty good game for $20 (frequently on sale for $8). You always see people crying about perks, behaviors (crouch-spamming? really?), and especially past nerfs, be it to killers or perks (especially Ruin). I personally don't understand all this crying about the Ruin nerf. Pre-nerf Ruin rarely lasted beyond the first minute of the game, and even then experienced players could just power through it with ease. Now it's in the same exact position now as it was before the nerf: Cleansed as soon as possible, or powered through relatively easily. The only way to make Ruin "good" would be to make it a non-Hex perk, but that would be absolutely busted and you'd see it on every single killer.
Which is another point I would like to bring up, is that they nerfed Ruin because it was basically the highest picked killer perk (probably under BBQ still, I dunno) and many killers were leaning on it as a crutch. Now that they've made it into a perk that requires more interactivity on the killer's part (and also synergizes well with perks like Thrilling Tremors and Surveillance), they're changing map sizes and tilesets to benefit more M1-y killers like Trapper and Clown (and with the new update they can use new Ruin as well, not just killers like Hillbilly and Freddy). Killers shouldn't have to take a perk to make the game last longer in the first place, and the changes in this coming patch are taking steps in the right direction.
I firmly believe that this coming patch will be healthy for both sides, because god-windows and multitudes of safe(and safeish) pallets are very unhealthy for killer gameplay and survivor skill level. I've had bad teammates who use god-loops get by because they're able to hold W and press Space when necessary and keep out of the killer's reach for longer than they should be able to, and I've had people use those same god-windows on me and it's incredibly annoying, because as soon as they're required to actually loop on real tiles they go full potato and it's obvious that they're not good loopers without their god-windows. God-windows NEEDED to be addressed, badly. (And yes, camping and tunnelling are a big issue and I hate being camped and tunnelled as much as the next survivor, but those are behaviors and are harder to fix since they aren't necessarily "broken".... you can't exactly keep the killer from walking where they want, hitting whom they want, e.t.c.)
I think that people need to remember that they are not "owed" a Fantastic game experience, most people buy DbD on sale for the BIG 8 DOLLARS anyway, and to complain and have hissy fits over the state of the game is ridiculous. Not to mention that everything that actually modifies the game (survivors, killers and perks) is able to be acquired through normal gameplay. Ever since I quit being a crybaby survivor main, started playing both sides, and realized that this is not even a competitive game and that ranks mean nothing pre-rank 10, I have had much more enjoyable game experiences, stopped thinking about "how I can get the biggest win against the opposing side", and just appreciated the game for what it is. I'm sorry to all of the jaded gamers who have 3k+ hours and complain about the game being "stale", but maybe it's time to find a different game to occupy your time.

There is, of course, a distinction to be made between "whining" and criticism. Criticism is great - it lets the developers know how the players feel about certain changes. Ideally, people would offer constructive criticism, explaining why something is a problem and offering ideas for improvement, but even if all people are doing is complaining, that can still be useful, as long as the complaints aren't disrespectful or abusive. The problem arises when people can't give or discuss criticisms without insulting or alienating each other or the developers, because that kind of behaviour isn't helpful or productive for anyone.
