Lunges...
Hello
I know this topic is probably really dried out but i just cant help it. My only simple question is, does doctor have a shorter lunge? Because i played wraith for a few matches then played doc, and when i used the "long" attack i 95% hit the survivor while as doc i only hit them very few times. There are some situations where i feel like as wraith i would have gotten a hit and as doc didnt. Mostly when i won a mindgame and it seemed that the survivor was in lunge range but it wasnt and they got away, and i feel like as wraith i could have gotten the hit. I just want to know that is it just me getting to greedy or its an acutal mechanic.
Thanks for reading.

It happens when you switch killers. I mained GhostFace for a long time and went to Oni. Felt off. Got good with Oni and went to wraith and he feels the same as you described.

All killers have the same base lunge range besides tier 1 Myers and tier 3 Myers; being shorter and longer respectively.
They certainly don't feel that way though as survivor and killer both. Freddy's lunge when playing survivor looks super dumb sometimes and when I play Ghostface it just feels like his lunge is really short.
Thinking on it there could be two reasons why it seems like the lunge is different for you. I'm not sure if the bug was fixed yet but there was a bug that made your first lunge get cut short sometimes.
The more likely explanation though is that as Wraith when you come out of invisibility he gets a boosted lunge, similar to Spirit when she comes out of phase. This might be the difference that you're noticing.

all killers have the exact same lunge range.
i think the off putting thing with Doc is, that he has quite a long weapon. sometimes you think you would be in range, due to the length of his weapons playmodel, however you actually arent so you whiff your attack.
ive had this problem a few times aswell tbh xD

I have that problem switching between demo and pig all the time. I whiff a lot right after changing killers. Never happens to me on trapper though.

Something that is worth noting - if you're lunging as Wraith right out of a cloak, you get more distance than you would on other killers because of the speed boost.

It could be that you're getting hit by the lunge bug. Sometimes a Killer lunge won't actually lunge, and you'll be stuck in one spot for the duration of the lunge.

Exactly, it sometimes seems he is holding a twig or smth.

I see, as wraith i mostly use cloak to ambush in the first half of the match and bodyblock. After ive gotten a few hooks i usually roam around, i dont feel the need of cloak since i mostly got the survivors locations. Im in pretty low rank tho, maybe thats why i dont have to use cloak that much.
