Curious debate

If you had to choose between these, would you choose:

PREMONITION or SPINE CHILL? And why?

Also

BOND or EMPATHY? And why?

Nowadays, probably Spine Chill. Back in the day, Premonition was great against stealth killers in particular, but with the way the balance has shifted in more recent years, and the introduction of more and better perks that tell you where the killer is, it's usually more useful to know whether they're coming at you than what direction they're coming from. Plus, Premonition's cooldown is definitely a strike against it, since there's always the possibility that you won't have it when you really need it.

As for Bond and Empathy, I would go with Empathy. People get injured more often than one might think, and I would rather know where my teammates are when they're across the map being chased than when they're close by me searching a chest or hiding behind a tree. I'm more likely to want to keep track of them if they're in a vulnerable position, such as being injured, so the fact that Empathy doesn't reveal healthy survivors isn't actually that much of a downside. Plus, with the no-heal meta or against certain killers like Plague or Legion, Empathy basically grants unlimited aura reading on all teammates, making it objectively the better perk in such situations.

Spine chill, I know exactly how far the killer is and how much time I have.

Bond, I can keep working on a gen without getting interrupted by teammates getting chased and I can find healing buddies faster (empathy if I want to heal others)

Spine Chill because of permanency and zero cooldown. The boost to some actions is also kinda helpful in a few clutch situations, even if it is extremely rare.

Bond/Empathy is more of a personal choice, but I'd say Bond for general use. If I hear TR and see someone running in circles, then I know I'm not the target. It's also useful to track other survivors against instant-down killers, which Empathy cannot. If you want to play more of a healer, then Empathy might be a better way to go. Empathy is also good against killers like Plague who keep people injured, but she's rarely used.

I also used to main a basic dark-clothed Claudette with Sprint Burst, Self-Care, Spine Chill and Bond. If Spine Chill was up with nobody nearby, yeet. Someone running on Bond with flickering Chill? Stay and work on the generator. So, combined I'd say Spine Chill and Bond because the information you can get from just that is incredible and it got me to red ranks in a mix of SWF and solo play.

Spine Chill because it's the #1 counter to stealth killers in the game since Object was nerfed.

Bond because it doesn't require your teammates to be injured to activate. Yeah the range is shorter, but generally knowing what's nearby is more useful than what's far away.

So far spine chill seems unanimous, but seems a small split between bond and empathy. I'm liking your guy's thoughts and reasonings though.

Spine Chill is more useful because it doesn't have a cooldown.

I prefer Bond over Empathy because always being active tends to be more useful for me than extended range.
